They trick you into thinking they have great deals, but when you actually come to the store suddenly the product "isn't available" and they try to push the same item on you for the full price. This place is one of the biggest scams out there with some of the worst customer service imaginable. These folks are THE best. Jeremy is amazing, so ask for him, for sure. After a HUGE repair on an almost new refrigerator, he arranged a replacement with a completely new unit. You will NEVER experience buyers remorse with FBS Appliances. They are knowledgeable, customer service pro's, and go over and than over again, and above-well beyond anything I've ever experienced elsewhere. As an engineer who loves to research purchases on my own, it's rare that I come across a store that I feel really adds value. In my first experience with factory builder stores, they did just that. Brett pointed me towards a vent hood for my range that I hadn't even considered. The product was superior to the other options I had been considering. Brett also connected me with excellent installers. I try to buy from people that help me out, but don't like to be ripped off either, so I checked prices elsewhere, including online. To my surprise, I found that FBS was selling it for $300 less than anywhere else! Upon ordering, the product arrived very quickly and I was promptly called to notify me of its arrival. When I picked it up a few days later, they all remembered me and quickly loaded it in my truck. Excellent price, service, and selection. FBS will be my go-to destination for kitchen appliances in the future! Note that they are open Saturday mornings too. read more

I am a builder and have used this company on 3 project totaling 20 homes. Not only did they deliver late, the installers messed up cabinets, didn't secure cook tops and damaged vent hoods, leaking dish washers and leaking refrigerator. Each time I complained they made excuses and reluctantly fixed the problem.. The only reason they did this was to save the account. The last straw for me was when they installed a refrigerator for a customer and it leaked on the wood floors. When I repaired the floor to the tune of $450 they said I would have to talk to the installer. I have no idea who the installer is, I contracted with FBS not some random installer. They said that is all they could do. If you are a builder you have many other options don't go down the same path I did. If you are a home owner run away as you have no pull with this company and good luck. I understand things happen but if I treated my homeowners they way thees guys treat their customers I wood quickly be out of business. read more

Not only is he courteous, professional and very knowledgable about the products, he goes out of his way to ensure satisfaction. In our most recent purchase we almost ordered the wrong size ice maker (our fault). Brett caught the error and we got exactly what we needed. Then he followed up on the sale to make sure everything was ok. Cannot ask for better customer service. They were good to work with when ordering items. Even willing to work on the price of one item that was cheaper else where. HOWEVER - on install they damaged my cabinets so bad! This is a new build so these cabinets had no marks and I now have huge gashes in some spots. The workers installing didn't care. Never got a call back when I reported it - guess they got their money so they don't care! read more

When looking for appliances Factory Builder Stores is the place to go. You have a salesman that helps you and then they have assistants that work with them so when you call with a question, warranty help (which they are the best at) ect you always get a person to either answer your question or insure that the salesman got the message. You can find a great deal scouring their backroom for open-box high-end appliances. I scored a Gaggenau Wine fridge and a Bosch microwave. BUT I also ordered my kitchen cabinets from them and that was less recommendable. Their cabinet saleswoman Jamie is inexperienced and not the most prompt communicator. She doesn't "do" ballparking to give you an idea of how much anything costs. She's also always busy-busy (she's either not good or overworked. neither matter the result is the same) Also, while I was required to provide appliance specs and submit to an in-home measuring session, DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING...RECHECK EVERY SINGLE MEASUREMENT. Why? Because once you've signed off, any issue is YOUR issue. Doesn't matter that it doesn't fit what you told her, you signed off on her measurements so she's DONE. Personally I'd run away from anyone who can't run a tape measure. read more

I purchased kitchen appliances and a washer/dryer from FBS, who worked with my contractor. I got an ok deal, but when I needed help with warranty service, FBS helps with that! That alone is worth every penny. They did not handle the install for me, but delivery and post-purchase assistance (warranty) were great. I would purchase from them again. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. We built a home and sadly they were the appliance contractors for our builder. Our ice maker did not work and I have placed about 12 calls to them to get it replaced with no response. It has been a month. They also installed our refrigerator and did not hook up the water line, causing it to make a horrible noise - took them about 3 weeks to get out and fix that one. I purchased a Thermador refrigerator and freezer column a few months ago which I absolutely love. Unfortunately, the sales, install and service processes have been a nightmare. After laying over $10,000 for a refrigerator and freezer, you would expect to get quality installers...unfortunately it was just the opposite! These guys did a complete botched install job! The units lean forward, the woods rub together which has removed the stain on the edging, the freezer will not even close which causes extreme ice build, and these guys installed the trim pieces in the wrong locations. I emailed my sales rep for over a month with no help, and he actually had the audacity to tell me I needed to contact my installers when I paid Factory Builder directly to do the install. When I finally was able to get ahold of someone willing to help, she said "let's just call Thermador and tell them you have an issue with the unit, not the install". This company does not stand behind their work and I would never suggest using them! read more

From the initial phone call through the installation, we had a fabulous experience. We had (stupidly) purchased a built-in double oven from Sears the weekend before Thanksgiving (ours went kaput) based on their promise of delivery Monday. They did deliver, but the oven was defective - they find out after 2.5 hours of installing. Installers were unprofessional and incompetent, oven was bad, but the worst part was the nightmare of trying to get service from Sears. After countless hours on hold, lies and broken promises of next day delivery, we finally find out Sears canceled the order (after they PROMISED delivery of a new oven Tuesday). As of this writing, Sears has yet to refund our money even though THEY mistakenly canceled the order after guaranteeing delivery for the next day. So, in the middle of fighting the hugely incompetent bureaucracy of Sears, I call Factory Builder Stores. A sincerely nice woman answers. I briefly explain issue, she sympathizes, finds oven in stock that we want, tells me they will install the next day, but then calls installer directly and says, "He can be there today." I buy the oven (at a significantly lower price than Sears, by the way) over the phone. She emails a receipt to me. The oven installation is completed within an hour of my phone call and it is perfect. No hassle. No runaround. No excuses or transfers to multiple departments. Professional, knowledgeable installers. She listened, knew what I needed, and made it happen immediately. EXCELLENT experience. I will never buy appliances anywhere else. THANK YOU!!! read more
