I was referred to Arnie to fix my leaking washer and he did a great job! I called him first thing in the morning and he made it out to my house within the next couple of hours! He fixed the problem and even helped level my new washer and tripped check that the problem wasn't happening anymore! I thought I was going to have to get a new dryer and he saved the day! If you are looking for some urgent assistance Arnie is your guy. 10/10 recommend! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, Arnie is a crook. he supposedly worked on my washer & charged me almost what a new one cost. He tested it empty so it appeared to work, put laundry in & it didn't work. He also charged me for a dryer vent he was going to return to install, after 3 no show appointments & flimsy excuses, I never received vent nor can I get my money back. The address he has listed on his receipt is a fake address (I've sent a bill to him for the vent & it was returned insufficient address & undeliverable). AGAIN, DO NOT. ALL HIM for your appliance repairs; you'll be wasting money. read more

Contacted JB Appliances on February 18, 2024 (Sunday) seeking service for my washing machine. Arnie came out the same day and diagnosed the problem to be a bad gear box...and charged me $98 (wanted cash which I paid). He told me he would have to order the part/s which would take about 5 days to get and he would apply the $98 to any subsequent work. On or about February 26 I reached Arnie via phone and he told me (text) that the suppliers didn't have the needed gearbox and they would let him know when they would have the part "tomorrow"...February 27. Sent a text to Arnie on March 7th asking when he intended to fix my washing machine. H responded, "At a noisy environment and out of town at the moment. Back in town on Mondy. I'll reach out then." I responded, "This has taken way too long." He responded, "I agree." On Sunday, March 17th I sent him another text asking when he intends to fix my washing machine. No answer. Since March 17 until today, I have made several phone calls, none answered...none responded to. read more

Passive aggressive behavior and a blatant show of annoyance if you wish to discuss their quote(s). Business must be good for JB Appliances, apparently they can afford to tell customers to take a hike. Let me explain a recent, unprofessional encounter with that I experienced with Arnie, a tech (possibly the owner...even worse). Don't expect a call from JB Alliances to discuss quotes, Arnie's preferred method of communication is via text (see attached dialogue). As we all know with texting, there's a tendency for miscommunication. However, his blatant disregard to provide me a simple breakout makes me wonder, are there ulterior motives to the "what the service sells for..."?...(does the "service sell" fluctuate address to address, community to community?) Attached is my exchange...I left the door open for dialogue/proceed with the repairs, but it appears they can tell customers to take a hike! Go elsewhere!!! read more

SUPER FAST RESPONSE in just hours! Arnie came over with Covid appropriate protection and resolved the issue with my dryer in less than one hour. We are super happy with the professionalism, service and value. I'm glad I went this option instead of calling someone else or replacing the dryer. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Arnie, today. He answered on the first call, and scheduled an appointment the same day. He installed a new drain pump on our Kenmore washing machine, and brought it back to working order. Arnie is extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend JB Appliances for your appliance repair needs. read more

Arnie is awesome. He field stripped our dryer in five minutes and immediately identified the problem and had it repaired less than 45 minutes later. I cannot impress enough that he earns this five star review based on his personality, friendliness, skill and speed. You can't really do much about price, people have a cost for parts and labor and I thought he was more than fair about it. There is a convenience charge for credit cards, so have a check handy for the lowest price possible. He noted the model number for our washer as well just in case. That's the kind of customer support I appreciate because he's going to have that on file if it ever does break down. Thank you Arnie! read more

Our 27 year old Kenmore clothes washer was banging in its spin cycle. This is the first time we had a problem with it!! I called JB and spoke directly with Arnie. He was able to come that day, and saw the problem. A spring that held the clothes drum in place came off its hook, and Arnie re-attached it. He did a test of the spin cycle as well as the water fill up as there was previous water leaking from the drum being off-centered. Overall, he charged a very reasonable visit/repair fee and while he was looking around he took the time to showed and explained to me what was the problem. Very courteous, fair-priced and nice person. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Just can't beat these guys for product and service standing behind what they sell. Definitely would do business with them again.

Called on a Sunday. They came out the same day to fix a washer that the water wasn't turning on. They fixed the clog quickly. I recommend them. read more

Great Service! Great Price! My 8 year old dryer stopped heating a couple weeks before Thanksgiving in '13. I called and they came out in a couple days. The heating element had gone out. They replaced it and offered me the 5 year service kit which replaces belts, seals, etc., and I agreed because the dryer was "squealing" when it was running. They also got the pennies and guitar picks out from being stuck under one of the arms in the drum. They also cleaned out the dryer really well. Total for everything was just $250.88...far better than having to purchase a new dryer right before the holidays. It's almost March '14 now and my dryer is still running smoothly and quietly. I'm very happy with this father/son team! read more

JB Appliances - Business Card - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Lewisville, Texas

I can not begin to tell you what a great experience we had with Arnie and JB Appliance. Our 5 year old Samsung dryer quit heating and after one call to JB's Appliance, Arnie was out that day, stayed late and fixed it. There are not many appliance repair companies who will work on Samsung that are good, reasonable, and more importantly reliable and honest. He primarily works on washer/dryers I believe but he's now my GO TO GUY for washer/dryer repair. I would HIGHLY recommend!!! read more

Guy fixes my dryer and paid $275, which was expensive and promised to come 3 times to fix a rattle. After 3 no shows, I gave up calling. It is extremely rude to have customers wait around all day and no show on them, people have lives and even when busy you shouldn't offer promises that you can not keep. Atleast have respect to call and cancel! read more

We were in need of a washer and dryer ASAP. Arnie was wonderful to work with and he worked with our budget. He did have to cancel the first scheduled delivery day, but we understood. He came through as promised after. I would highly recommend this business! read more

Great service. Came out earlier than he thought he could to fix our dryer. He left it cleaner in are real then when he came in period the dryer works great and it was much less expensive than Anticipated. I will definitely use him again and I will recommend him read more

My dryer was making a high pitched screeching noise. I received a quick response from JB appliances. I provided the model number and he arrived the next day with parts that might potentially fix the problem. My problem was more severe and required a second trip but I love that his goal was a one call resolution. Reasonable prices and quick response - I won't hesitate to call him again. read more

Arnie at JB Appliances is the best! Very honest, knowledgeable and willing to go beyond expectations. He offered to come out on a Sunday!!! He showed up right on time and got our dryer fixed within an hour. We highly recommend Arnie and JB Appliances. read more

I had an issue with my dryer not working properly and started searching for repair company. Arnie called be back promptly and listened to my problem. His first response was to try to help me with information to see if i could fix myself vs selling me some part or service. That didn't work so he came out quickly and fixed my dryer for a very reasonable amount. Never met him before today but based on my experience...highly recco!! Great service for a grest price. read more

Came promptly to fix my dryer, but the new part only partially fixed it. I've waited 2 months for Arnie to come back with a new part or to fix whatever the new problem is. He has given me multiple excuses and is no longer answering my calls or texts. I spent $250 for half-done work. And he claims to have a 90 day warranty. Im trying to get my money back. read more

I would not recommend JB Appliance for customer service. Called JB Appliance for service on our dryer initially after reading all the good reviews but after the first initial conversation to explain my dryer issue I was told I would receive a return phone call in 15 minutes I assumed to set up the appt for service. Needless to say that call never came after several hours of waiting. Action Appliance however, took my phone call, scheduled the service call, had the part ordered & replaced it... all within 24 hours of our conversation. Professionalism and courtesy throughout the entire process. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE read more

This man is dishonest. Do not use him. I was told he could come out on a Saturday, but when he called he said he couldn't come until Sunday. We made an appointment for him to come at 10am on Sunday and he never showed. When I called him he said he had booked someone else and couldn't come. He never informed me that he was cancelling my appointment or that he needed to rebook and was unwilling to make any other arrangements. read more

Washer went out Saturday night; Sears couldn't come out until the next Friday. I called JB Appliances (they were reasonably close) on Tuesday morning and the were out Tuesday afternoon. The repairman was waiting on my doorstep, very friendly, and said he thought he had a hunch about what was wrong, so he brought some parts from the shop. Turned out he was spot on. Fixed it in about 30 minutes. I thought the charge was fair and we were back in the washing business in no time at all. Loved the friendliness and professionalism of the repairman (I think his name was Delmy?). It was great- I highly recommend and will call them again next time I have a problem! read more

My old Amana dryer stopped drying my clothes. Arnie at JB analyzed the three likely causes over the phone, got my model number, made an appointment that was convenient, showed up exactly on time with everything he needed, fixed the problem, cleaned the unit, oiled it where needed, replaced a broken latch, improved the vent hose connection and left me with a dryer that works like new..priceless! Highly recommended. read more

Broken washing machine on laundry day! With a daughter on her way home from a backpacking trip, and laundry piling up fast, I was DESPERATE to get it running in a hurry, and Arnie came out the SAME DAY. I was amazed. He knew exactly what was wrong from my description over the phone, picked up the part on the way, and fixed it in less than an hour. What a guy! read more

JB Appliance Repair was great! I had called early Saturday morning and they didn't have any openings until Monday however they had a cancellation and were able to come out to our house and repair our dryer the same day I called! They were prompt and polite, I will definitely be giving them a call if we have any other appliance issues in the future. read more

My washing machine stopped draining Sunday morning. I called JB Appliances and Arnie came out the same day, prepared with the piece that he suspected needed replacement. He quickly confirmed the problem was what he suspected, took the machine apart, replaced the part, put it together and was done! I think he was in and out in maybe 25 minutes. Definitely would recommend, and the fact that they answered on a Sunday AND came out was so appreciated and something I didn't see offered at any of the other vendors I looked at. read more

They had great reviews on google which is why I chose to use them. I put in a request online and received a phone call within a few hours, that part was great. He let me text him a video of the problem to get a better idea. I scheduled a time for him to come and he let me know about 20 minutes before he arrived. I appreciated that. He was very friendly when he arrived. He thought he discovered the problem and got the part he needed from his truck. He told me he would have to come back tomorrow because he didn't have anyone to help him. I offered to help so it could be finished, he agreed. He made small talk while he worked, it was a bit condescending but I don't think that was his intention. He asked to use many of my household things, he needed a step ladder, needed several of my bowls to get the water out. A lot of water spilled out of the machine at one point and he wanted me to get my towels to clean it. I understand you don't always know what you need on a job but it seemed excessive. The part he tried to use was incompatible with my machine. He was trying to save me money with this part so I definitely appreciated the effort. He told me he had the right one at the shop and would come back the next day with help. He again called when he was about 20 minutes away, and arrived with help. They got to work and I was feeling better. Then he informed me that he was in a hurry and that the piece he thought was broken wasn't the only one and that it would not be cost effective to fix the machine. He told me he was going to leave his part in the machine and come get it later but that I couldn't throw the washer away till then. It caught me off guard. I told him he needed to take it out. Reluctantly he did. He told me he was leaving a towel on the ground because it was a little wet. They never asked me to pay for coming out today, just the service charge from the first day. He apologized for the mistake and admitted not discovering the other issue yesterday was his fault. I appreciated his efforts and they left. My biggest issue was when they left I went back to turn the light off and saw water all over my floor. Underneath the machine was all wet and they had not bothered to clean it..it would have ruined my floors. The machine was pulled out and not put back in its place and the bowl I let him borrow was still under the machine..I believe you should leave someone's home in at least the condition you found it. read more

If you need an honest appliance repair guy in the north Dallas area, then you should give JB Appliances a call. Arnie at JB was on time and fixed the problem quickly. JB Appliance is great! They act with a tremendous sense of urgency and their communication is spot on (something that lacks in the appliance business) but Arnie was very good with keeping me posted on his arrival time, what the issue was with my washing machine and how he would fix it. I recommend JB Appliance to anyone! read more

I called JB Appliance because my dryer wasn't drying and they had great reviews. They showed up at my house after a couple of hours from my call and fixed my dryer issue. Other than his rates were very reasonable and prompt friendly service, I found out that the last repair I had on that dryer, the service man (from another company) put the WRONG thermostat censor on my dryer which caused it to go out again not to mention it could of caused a fire! JB Appliance had the correct part on hand for my dryer and fixed the issue on top of cleaning out my dryer vent. VERY PLEASED with them and will use them again. read more

Called to get our washer repaired. He was not able to come on Saturday due to an emergency but made a special trip on Sunday to make it up. Communication was clear and was very punctual. Would use this company again if needed. Highly recommend! read more

I had a mystery noise with my dryer. It is a fairly new dryer but out of warranty. JB Appliances came out the next day and very quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem. He did not charge any extra fees but just what he quoted on the phone. Very honest, friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate giving them a call again if I have a problem with any of the appliances they repair. read more

We have used JB Appliances before in our home but needed assistance this time at our daughters apartment. Though there was a delay due to a family emergency, JB Appliances worked around my schedule to come and fix the problem. His pricing is very reasonable and he tells you up front what the cost is. I would use company again should the need arise and would highly recommend! read more

Dishonest and will not tell you the truth! He stood us up, lied about the reason and kept raising the price . Very dishonest and a crook.

This is an unusual review in that I chose not to get the appliances repaired at this time. But -- Arnie and JB Appliance deserve 5 stars for their customer service. I called - provided the model number of the washer and dryer needing repair. Both were knob/timing issues; so both still worked but had issues with the knob/timing. Arnie took the information from me - called me back with estimates for cost (labor and parts) and could not have been more helpful and informative. I ultimately decided not to make the repairs (since both washer and dryer are very old) - but based on the phone conversations and level of courtesy and expertise -- I would definitely recommend them and will call them if either the washer or dryer stops working -- or if I purchase new appliances. read more

Had searched online and was referred to JB Appliances to repair my Whirlpool Dryer. Arnie was prompt in setting up the appointment in the evening which worked best for my work schedule. Much better than waiting for Sears in a 4 hour window for sure. He is a true professional, honest, friendly and has good old fashioned work ethics. After pin pointing the issue with the dryer and replacing the part, he took the time to completely clean all parts of the dryer and check the dryer vent for any blockage. I would highly recommend him for any services you need. I know I will use them again when needed! read more
