Smokehouse Wings

Another review from late Feb that was stuck in my drafts during our staycation in Irvine. What a nice surprise this was inside the Irvine Marriott. I am glad we ended up trying Floe Lounge. Service was excellent and the selection and quality of food matches the service. Burger is not really my go-to but when I asked the server what their popular dishes are and what is his favorite - he said the speakeasy burger and chicken wings. These 2 items were indeed excellent and will order them again if we happen to be in the area.

REALLY GOOD HOTEL FOOD!!! I've been to this hotel twice and absolutely loved their food both times! I've never actually sat and ate at FLOE Lounge, but a portion of their menu is at their hotel speakeasy, Y.N.K. and at the Topgolf Swing Suite also located in the Irvine Marriott hotel. OK so favorites... if you love avocado toasts and grilled cheese, the OC Grilled Cheese is made for you! It's the best of both those worlds and I absolutely loved it so much that I ordered it twice! I also love the pub pretzel bites with cheese. I looooove a good pub pretzie and I like that it comes in sticks so you don't have to worry about pulling it apart when sharing with friends! My last recommendation is the ahi poke nachos. There's not much to say other than they are amazing! For drinks, ngl I had so many different ones, but they were all delicious. Their bartenders are top notch so you can't go wrong with whatever you choose! Please visit the lounge or book time in the Topgolf Swing Suite. You definitely will NOT regret it!

We stayed at the Irvine Marriott and stumbled upon Floe, the in-hotel restaurant/lounge. It was big and alot of seating. The restaurant was nice and the atmosphere was good. This restaurant has fantastic food and the service was really good!! I was very happy and pleased with this place. We had the chicken wings- great! We had the pizza- fantastic! I had the eggs and steelcut oatmeal. The oatmeal was plentiful and thick and tasted well. I enjoyed each bit of it. I wish this place was closer to me, but I will be back to the hotel and area.

While there are some really top-notch eateries near the Marriott hotel, their resident eatery is no slouch. FLOE's team is friendly and helpful. The food is tasty and well portioned. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was actually, I ate every last bite.

Harvest Salad with Ahi tuna, chicken wings and wine!

I came here on a Saturday night with my hubby. Vanessa was our server, she totally got our vibe and did a great job while letting us enjoy ourselves. The food was delicious, we ordered the chicken wings with the sauces on the side; crispy and tasty, just to die for. For the entrees, we ordered two Harvest Salad with the ahi tuna add on. Nice seared on the ahi and it had a nice layer of sesame seeds. I typically don't order salad but this was a good one. They had live music for the icing on the cake. A chill atmosphere for a Saturday night!

FLOE is the bar/lounge at the Irvine Marriott at Von Karman & Michelson. They have an outdoor patio with fireplace tables as well as indoor seating and bar seating. Food is also served. I've been here a few times before and after b'ness events. The service is always friendly and efficient. In addition, the areas are all clean inc the restrooms. If you need to meet someone for a drink or a snack by John Wayne Aiport, FLOE does the trick.

My mom had her birthday celebration here with her coworkers. We sat by the fire which was nice since it was so cold when we came. We ordered some food, cocktails, and patron shots. The staff was friendly and pleasant. However, service was really slow. The drinks and food came out every 30 or more minutes. We were just lounging around the whole night so the wait didn't seem that long. I definitely recommend coming up to the bar to order your drinks. It's still slow, but a bit faster than them coming to your table. Other than that, the place is lovely. We really enjoyed our time there.

I ordered a Asian citrus salmon. It's a good portion. Food is good. If you are traveling here and looking for Asian flavor dish, you can give it a try.

Ordered poke flown fresh from Hawaii Had the Caesar salad that was so good! Also ordered pretzel with side of Dijon mustard

Came here on a Saturday night. Parking was kinda hard to find not sure if it was really dark but had some trouble navigating the entrance and exits. Bar was spacious and the food was really delicious! Drinks were pricey but it's a Marriott!

Do they have virtual golf?

Do they take reservations ? Ive been trying to call and the number doesn't connect. I called the hotel and they were really confused on who im trying to reach.... Can we just walk in with like 10 people?

No reservations, but you likely won't have an issue just walking in. It's pretty spacious.

Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately the hostess experience kept it from being a full 5-star night. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:35, but waited nearly 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The hostess was quite rude and told me we had lost our table because we were "late," even though I had been standing there waiting to be helped. She eventually seated us at a dirty table and the overall interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server Omar completely turned the night around -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The manager Dave was also amazing and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, the hummus with warm pita was fantastic (definitely ask for extra bread!), and the melted cheese with toasted bread was a highlight. The fries were uniquely cut and perfectly cooked, and the calamari was top-notch. The view and ambiance make this a great place to relax with friends over tapas and drinks. I would come back again for the quality of the food, the beautiful setting, and the wonderful service from Omar -- but I do hope management addresses the front-host experience, as it really sets the tone for the evening.

Service was impeccable, especially considering there were only two servers working during our visit. Caviar Cones - 9/10: Greatbalance of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy flavors. The use of an actual waffle cone for caviar was a creative twist. Uni and Unagi Chawanmushi - 8/10: Silky and super umami. Potato Korokke - 7/10: Crispy on the outside with a mash potato-esque interior. Came with two dipping sauces, a truffle ranch and a curry sauce. Both flavourful but a little thin. Wagyu Steak - 9/10: Perfectly cooked slices of A5 wagyu. Every element on the plate complemented the steak beautifully, and the presentation was stunning. Miso Cake - 7.5/10: The cake itself was slightly spongey for my taste, but the tableside presentation with the flames was a fun touch. Paired nicely with vanilla ice cream and banana.

Pork buns were good too, just a little on the fatty side but still flavorful. The truffle seafood fried rice had a good amount of seafood, just wish the truffle came through a bit more. Old fashioned was well done. Atmosphere is nice, dim and loungey, but music can get pretty loud. Not necessary when there are only 8 people in the establishment. Service was quick and everything came out fast. Overall, good for a night out or drinks with some bites. Not perfect, but I'd come back.

We came with reservations on Saturday night before Mother's Day. The first thing I thought when I walked in was that there was a live band playing with bad speakers because the music was so loud. But when I saw there was no band, I thought maybe their speakers were broken because the music had that scratchiness to it. Then I realized it was a DJ spinning vinyls with foreign music from the 1950's with that scratchy vintage sound on full blast (think shrill trumpets and shrill voices.) Now don't get me wrong, the music was wonderful and very unique ( again, a lot of foreign songs) with a few I even knew...my husband and I loved most of the songs that were played. HOWEVER not when it's so loud that we can't even hear our own thoughts! I felt annoyed within the first 5 minutes of being seated when my family and I had to keep repeating ourselves, and my husband even went to check the rest of the place to see if it was any quieter anywhere else, but it was blaring music everywhere. I ended up ordering for my whole table of 8 people because we couldn't even hear each other over the music to make suggestions on what to order. My adult kids (all in their 20's) kept apologizing for recommending this place for my mother's day dinner. But oh my, the food was delicious---practically everything I ordered was amazing! OMG the hangar steak skewers, pork belly skewers, iberico pork secreto steak, little gem salad, and their bread with goatmilk -butter were my faves! We also had the short ribs and the pork fried rice with prawns but they were mid...nothing to write home about. This would've been a great place to come have a drink at the bar for happy hour or even late at night on a weekend since they open until 1am on thursday, friday, saturday... but don't come for dinner unless you bring earplugs and learn sign language or know how to read lips because there will be no conversations over dinner unless it's just to the person sitting next to you. Even so, I noticed the young couple next to us looking very annoyed-- they got up and left after quickly finishing up their one cocktail while the speakers blared out an instrumental piece of a girl moaning the whole time until she climaxed. Heck---I'll have whatever SHE'S having lol So plz keep the music down several notches until after 10pm, and let the rest of us enjoy our dinner so that we can sing praises on how delicious everything was. Until you do, I think I'll cross this place off my list for now and revisit again sometime in the FAR future.
