The Whole Foods in Vegas locations don't really offer this anymore and it's such a bummer. The drinks at the bar are super cheap too. Food and beer: 5 stars. Servers and service was 2 stars (except for Omar, he was very helpful). We asked to have the TV on near the windows to watch the game (which was one a few weeks ago). For some reason we were told the chef is the only one who can turn it on and he wasn't that there that day. We asked to have the foldable window door thingy to be open and another server says they can't. We told them it was open a few weeks ago and his response: sometimes they open it and sometimes they don't. These types of responses don't make for a great customer service. read more

Whether you're shopping at Whole Foods or not, The Hangar Bar is a pretty adequate spacious joint to chill at. It may sound awkward to chill in a market but it really isn't. I must say it's a convenient spot. To note - this bar is not a full-on "bar" either. Many come for a quick grub or drink as they catch whatever sports game they got playing while others come to relax before going back to their daily grind. There is bar top & table seating (which is also shared with Mendocino Farms). Place your order at the bar though. Prior to covid, the bunz & I had visited a good handful of times for their food & drinks plus their pricing too. We have always enjoyed getting their charcuterie, wings & nachos! This month was our first visit back & it was a pleasant visit. No complaints. They still have a good selection of wine & beer. Cocktails - not bad but I will say it was better prior to covid. I'd like to start this review by stating that I don't really consider Hangar Bar to be a "bar". It's really a section of Whole Foods with many good beers on tap and a menu with a number of vegetarian and vegan options. What it does, it does very well, and I prefer Hangar Bar to most bars, including Back Bay Tavern (which I would say qualifies). Yeah, yeah, Whole Paycheck (sorry, Mr. Mackey, but it fits). Hangar Bar does have a number of specials that you can take advantage of, though. My wife and I visited on Thursday and did the $13 house burger and brew deal. Excellent call. We both had Beyond Burgers, the vegan alternative to meat, and this omnivore was very satisfied. If you don't like meat, you may not like this because it is a remarkable facsimile. I do wish the tomatoes and butter lettuce had been fresher. The french fries were outstanding, and my vegetarian wife suspected that they might have been cooked in beef tallow. You don't think...? If we return on a Thursday, we may do the $7 whole cheese pizza deal. You do know that you can bring any food from the store to have at the bar, right? I believe this applies to the beer and wine, too. Wednesday would be another good day to come because that's when Whole Foods discounts the salad bar. Hangar Bar also does Taco Tuesday (including vegetarian jackfruit) and a happy hour Monday through Friday, 4 to 6 pm. What about the beer? Well, how do you like 35 tap handles? Hangar Bar doesn't have a website, but you can check out TapHunter for their current draft list. They also have wine and cocktails. A bar in a supermarket. Who'da thunk it? Well whole Foods is no ordinary supermarket, and the Hanger Bar is not the typical bar. I think it exists as more of a way to get more people into Whole Foods and stay there longer, and as a way to get folks to try beers, wines and spirits on sale there. But hey, who am I to complain? I had a nice steak and eggs for brunch, and it was a rather large steak. It could have used a little seasoning while cooking, but nothing that a bit of salt and pepper could not cure. I would have also liked a bit of starch on the plate, but I'll fix that next time with a side of potatoes. The Bloody Marys are also very good, with Lava Bloody Mary mix, a really good option in my opinion. So I'll be back, at the very least on weekend afternoons when I am soloing it. read more

I am a little disappointed that this wasn't here when I used to come to Whole Foods weekly during my work lunch break back in 2013. At the same time, I suppose it might actually be a blessing that this wasn't available back then, I can't even imagine how much money I would have spent here. Warning, if you tend to stress eat and drink, you may find it too easy to overspend here. Hangar Bar and Grill is such a fantastic new addition to the newly remodeled Whole Foods. It gives Whole Foods a little more options that the prepared foods bar with menu items that are cooked to order. There is also a bar with craft brews, and a rotating special menu with daily specials such charcuterie and wine, or a burger and brew combo. They also have happy hour! It is a little confusing because they don't have their menu posted (just a beer menu) but the food is all on a paper menu. You can order at the bar or order with a waiter. This is great for a casual work lunch or work happy hour. Not sure if it is good for anything else as it's situated inside a grocery store, so the ambiance isn't exactly "exciting". Parking is plenty, though traffic flow is awful, as per the entire District parking lot, but I do not think that part is going to change any time soon. I usually just come during off peak hours to avoid the traffic and the whole experience is much more pleasant. read more

I love this Whole Foods side bar conveniently located in between the grocery store area and Mendocino Farms. The have a wide selection of craft brews including my favorite Cali Creamin on Nitro. Every weekday Happy Hour starts at 3pm and they have amazing lunch specials paired with everything from wings, burgers and even a pulled pork BBQ sandwich mmmm. We love the exceptional service from Meg and are going to miss her as she heads down the 405 to manage the bar at the new Long Beach location. Visual highlights include housewives wandering around the store in their finest Lululemon outfits and perfect makeup in an attempt to fool everyone into thinking they look that fine after a 10am workout. It's a trap. Thanks Whole Foods for the Hanger Bar offering at the Tustin District, it's a highlight for both lunch meetings and boys' night out too!! read more

"Why don't we go to Whole Foods for lunch?" I never thought I would hear my husband utter those words, but yesterday he did. We were going to get some hot food from the self service area... but I saw a child grabbing handfuls of lettuce, putting it in his bowl, and then putting it back with his hands. That was kind of a turn off. We walked to the front of the store and stumbled upon Hangar Bar. Cleverly named for the old hangers, the menu appealed to me because of its many non-meat options. I'm not a vegetarian by any means, but just trying to eat a little better. I opted for the porcini cutlet with risotto, while my other half had the burger. A place where we can both eat and be happy! Ahh! I was really satisfied with my mushroom, and he equally loved his burger. I managed a nibble on his fries, too, and thought they were tasty. I'm usually not a potato person. This bar on the weekends has a DJ jamming away. That's always a plus. They have televisions for your game viewing as well. Really quite unique that a grocery store has something like this which is amazing. This bar actually has a full menu. This is convenient if you have the munchies before, during, or after your booze episodes. What I like about their booze menu is that the craft drinks are $7. That's right! $7 bucks for good cocktails here folks. If the price is right and the booze is proper, I'll be here all night. Great thing is that if you have other food in mind, you are more then welcome to have it at this bar area too. Mendocino Farms is right next door too. Parking in this plaza is quite ample so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot. There's also other places to visit within walking distance if you're not capable to operate a vehicle after and good session of alcohol. For being inside Whole Foods, the prices are very reasonable here. We got a cheese pizza slice and steak and fries. Most places don't serve single slices, so it's nice they have it here. The craft beers, the variety of food, customer service, and the price, all makes the experience even better. Entertainment is a plus! They have DJs to entertain guests, but usually 1 DJ at a time. Tonight's order included steak frites w/brussels sprouts, kale salad & another steak frites with side salad, because it's was so yummy the first time! No where around here can beat this! Variety of beer selection. Really enjoyed the raspberry (nitro style). Nutkin' futz has a really yummy nutty flavor. Customer service is great when they are able to get to you. Beer selection is great, as everyone knows parking in the District is a nightmare, I gave up after waiting and just parked across the street in the Lowes/Lucilles parking lot. Service was good and food choices were respectable. I enjoy the fact that they moved the bar to the front to be it's own stand alone entity, used to be in the back. Will come back. read more

When my coworkers told me to meet up at the whole foods for drinks i thought they were being ridiculous. We actually hanged out here for a while and got a good bar experience here. I love the long list of beers to choose from here. Also, shots here almost seem like a double shot to me. Friendly gal serving behind the bar. The drink menu could use some retinkering. This is one of my go-to spots for lunch on Thursdays where they have their beer & burger special. You get a draft beer, cheeseburger & fries for $12. That's my kind of combo. The burger is cooked to order and seasoned well. The pickled red onions are a nice touch. The fries are crunchy and well seasoned. They also have a great selection of local craft brews. The employees are nice, if you order food they bring it to your table, OR you can just grab food from EVERYWHERE ELSE in the grocery store and just sit with a beer from the bar. Long list of beers to choose from their conveniently categorized list. Their menu changes occasionally, so it's worth popping in to see what's available. My mainstay is the Cauliflower Nachos. This visit I tried the Steak & Frites (actual steak, not pre-sliced!) and Grilled Skirt Steak Burrito. The Burrito came with a side of chips (not in description). I know you're saying why would you do that keb since you're such a manly man with hair on his chest that drinks whisky straight just in order to go to sleep at night. Well let me tell you I was fooled. I do have to note that appearance wise, it looked like a dreadlocked hippie took grass, mushrooms, dandelions and mashed them all together and put it on my plate (that means it looked bad) but judging from taste it was very very good. I'm telling you I could feed this to vin diesel or the rock and they wouldn't know the difference. Also the smoked salmon toast was fantastic. It comes on this fresh bread that's the size of a brick. It's nestled in Whole Foods so you could also get some grocery shopping done if you're feeling ambitious. Happy Hour is M-F from 4-6pm and features $5 pints of local & craft brews, small plates under $10, and then daily HH deals. Went on a Sunday with a friend. Took about 15min to order and another 15 - 20min for the drinks to come out. The appetizer came out fast, but was nearly gone by the time the drinks came. There was a guy that sat at the bar after us and his drink came out before ours...I guess the staffs lack communication skills cuz only the girl that took our order knew about our order. I just think she should've asked for help cuz the other two staffs didn't seem busy. Great price though. Two cocktails and an appetizer for $20. Tasted good as well. We waited 20 minutes in the line at the cashier to be served. 2. The bartender was really really hesistant to make my martini because he was "busy". Cute bar located inside of whole foods. It's right next to my work so I stop in a few times a month. Lauren is my favorite bartender, she's the only one that always acknowledges you pretty quickly and with a smile. Sometimes there's no one behind the bar for a couple minutes after I've sat down which can be annoying. They have a huge selection of craft beers on tap and their wine list is pretty extensive as well. I'm pretty sure they just started offering liquor as well? They have a special for every day of the week, $10 for wings and a beer or a burger and a beer is a bomb ass deal. Their burgers are YUMMY. I feel like having a bar inside of Whole Foods is a damn good idea. You need to get a little sauced before you go buy those 3 avocados that cost the same as your mortgage. So, the tap list here is pretty dope. If you're super into craft beers you're guaranteed to find something you like/might not have had yet. If you're into other stuff, well, you might be disappointed. We sat at the bar and the service was good throughout our entire visit. My only issue was that we ordered some chips and salsa and guacamole and the guacamole was not good at all. It was definitely some sort of hipster deconstructed avocado deal, but there was no seasoning. I mean, a little salt or garlic or something goes a long way. We ended up taking a few bites and leaving it there. The menu didn't look that appealing. It was a cross between, "We want to serve small bites of bar food, but this is Whole Foods so we gotta kinda be healthy about it." I'm sure there are people that appreciate that. I think the naming convention of this place gives it a bad perception. It's not really a bar scene and I doubt their food is extraordinary since it's located inside Wholefoods (haven't eaten here yet). Just think of this place as Wholefoods with beer and wine. they serve cocktails too but since they close early (8pm some days), no one really orders it. It's a place people come to eat and enjoy beer/wine- almost like an airport bar. I see students here with their laptops drinking beer. For the price, I like it. I usually hit up the Wholefoods hot foods bar and grab a beer here. Beers range from $4-9 and service is usually super nice. Can't really complain. read more

We go to the Hangar Bar in Yorba Linda all the time. Love it. Came to this one for brunch today. My poached eggs were ordered medium. They came out medium in the center, raw whites and falling apart. They were also cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. Been here for almost an hour. Still waiting for my replacement order to come out. Yup. I'm hangry now. Update: Got the replacement. Eggs were perfect. Had a hard time cutting through the avocado with my fork. Most of the meat was just pork fat. I give up. Just called my order in to Mendocino Farms to get something. This is my friend & I's favorite place to watch any sports game during the week! Despite is being in Whole Foods, it's a great little bar. They have a unique selection of beers, mainly from local breweries it seemed like. I love beer so this was a major win for me. We got there for game 2 of the World Series and the bar counter was pretty empty so were able to get seats right in front of a TV. I had one of their sushi rolls which was pretty delish. Then had the fish & chips as my main dish. I was pleasantly surprised by how crispy both the fish and fries were. SO GOOD. Daniel was such an awesome bartender. Cool concept to have a bar inside of Whole Foods. If grocery shopping isn't your thing then you can just hang out at the bar! Beers are decently priced around 8ish. On weekends it gets a bit packed in the parking lot with everyone trying to go to the legacy shopping areas. There are a few community benches and some tables to hang out. They also show sports lots of sports and advertise and show pro and college football games. Could be a fun place to come to if you want to hang out and maybe get some shopping done later! read more
