Over my years of traveling all over the world for work, I've accrued a fair number of Bonvoy points and developed a deep fondness for Marriott's Signature Burger. Specifically, the 'Build your Own' option set up with swiss cheese and mushrooms and an egg. It's a cracking (excuse the unshelled pun) good lunch by any standard, and now I'm traveling less I still drop by Floe occasionally to partake and reminisce over lunch. I still recommend the above burger highly, but temporarily I've changed my menu choice. Their friendly bartender and server recently upsold me to their current special burger instead... and it's even better. The Beso Burger, created by a chef whose name I don't recall but who apparently is TV-famous, is the reason this review is getting written when normally I wouldn't take the time for this kind of location. Put simply, it's a must-try. It comes as a whole plate, with fries and a milkshake designed specifically for dipping them in. The whole thing is beautifully put together, and everything complements everything else. It's an experience. Word to the wise: After trying both the single and the double burger, my pick is the single. Better balance across the meal, and the second slab of meat makes the burger gigantic and tougher to eat without a knife and fork - which in itself would be wrong and ruin the experience. The bottom of my bun held fine on the single but disintegrated before I could finish devouring the double, and my afternoon food lethargy was definitely amplified by the latter too. Productivity... not so good. The location is exactly what you'd expect from a hotel bar, with nice lighting, plenty of seating and 3hr parking validation when you stop by for food so there's no rush to eat except your own work schedule. I did notice it was a bit hot inside on a recent visit... maybe their AC was broken. Don't sleep on this burger, I think they said it's only available through September... read more

Floe lounge is located inside the Irvine Marriott and has a lot of great options. I opted for the wings because the description got me lol House dry rub wings with your choice of sauce. The wings were super crispy and it was a little smoky. Never had a wing like this where the sauce was on the side. I actually enjoyed it a lot because the wings never got soggy! My friends tried the steak and fries. Said the steak was good but the fries were garlic Parmesan and ended up being a little soggy. We also tired the carne asada bowl which was good too! Nothing crazy but the wings were definitely the hit. The service is super friendly and attentive as most hotel restaurants are. But the seating area is big and they also have a full bar! Definitely recommend if you're staying at the hotel! read more

The Parmesan fries are extremely good and crispy. And all the drinks are extremely good. The decor inside is very nice and fitting of a elegant hotel. The people working were extremely helpful and brought everything out pretty quick. Overall, this is a great place to visit if you're looking for something extremely calm to just relaxing. Another review from late Feb that was stuck in my drafts during our staycation in Irvine. What a nice surprise this was inside the Irvine Marriott. I am glad we ended up trying Floe Lounge. Service was excellent and the selection and quality of food matches the service. Burger is not really my go-to but when I asked the server what their popular dishes are and what is his favorite - he said the speakeasy burger and chicken wings. I've never actually sat and ate at FLOE Lounge, but a portion of their menu is at their hotel speakeasy, Y.N.K. and at the Topgolf Swing Suite also located in the Irvine Marriott hotel. OK so favorites... if you love avocado toasts and grilled cheese, the OC Grilled Cheese is made for you! It's the best of both those worlds and I absolutely loved it so much that I ordered it twice! I also love the pub pretzel bites with cheese. I looooove a good pub pretzie and I like that it comes in sticks so you don't have to worry about pulling it apart when sharing with friends! My last recommendation is the ahi poke nachos. There's not much to say other than they are amazing! For drinks, ngl I had so many different ones, but they were all delicious. Their bartenders are top notch so you can't go wrong with whatever you choose! Please visit the lounge or book time in the Topgolf Swing Suite. You definitely will NOT regret it! read more

We stayed at the Irvine Marriott and stumbled upon Floe, the in-hotel restaurant/lounge. It was big and alot of seating. The restaurant was nice and the atmosphere was good. This restaurant has fantastic food and the service was really good!! I was very happy and pleased with this place. We had the chicken wings- great! We had the pizza- fantastic! I had the eggs and steelcut oatmeal. The oatmeal was plentiful and thick and tasted well. I enjoyed each bit of it. I wish this place was closer to me, but I will be back to the hotel and area. read more

Delicious! Great service too! We were disappointed that there wasn't really a "lounge" atmosphere. The lights were bright, there wasn't any music, and the restaurant was pretty empty. Other than this, we have zero complaints. The drinks were seriously some of the tastiest creations I've had in a super long time. We ordered the wings and man were they delicious! I immediately ordered a second order. I also had the Caesar side salad, my husband had the salmon, and I ordered another dish that I can't remember. I know it was good because I ate it. Wow!!! We dined here last night & it's the best hotel restaurant I've been to. Even if it wasn't a "hotel restaurant" it would still hold its own & be one of the best options around. I came here on a Saturday night with my hubby. Vanessa was our server, she totally got our vibe and did a great job while letting us enjoy ourselves. The food was delicious, we ordered the chicken wings with the sauces on the side; crispy and tasty, just to die for. For the entrees, we ordered two Harvest Salad with the ahi tuna add on. Nice seared on the ahi and it had a nice layer of sesame seeds. I typically don't order salad but this was a good one. They had live music for the icing on the cake. FLOE is the bar/lounge at the Irvine Marriott at Von Karman & Michelson. They have an outdoor patio with fireplace tables as well as indoor seating and bar seating. Food is also served. I've been here a few times before and after b'ness events. The service is always friendly and efficient. In addition, the areas are all clean inc the restrooms. If you need to meet someone for a drink or a snack by John Wayne Aiport, FLOE does the trick. read more

My mom had her birthday celebration here with her coworkers. We sat by the fire which was nice since it was so cold when we came. We ordered some food, cocktails, and patron shots. The staff was friendly and pleasant. However, service was really slow. The drinks and food came out every 30 or more minutes. We were just lounging around the whole night so the wait didn't seem that long. I definitely recommend coming up to the bar to order your drinks. It's still slow, but a bit faster than them coming to your table. Other than that, the place is lovely. We really enjoyed our time there. read more

It's a hotel bar, so keep that in mind, it also gets really crowded on the weekends. The drinks were ok, I did ask the bartender to make my date something using descriptions and he whipped something up for us that was good. The firepits outside were nice and the interior décor is very modern, the only issue I had with the interior design is there is a giant gaping hole into the hotel lobby that makes the place feel too open, would be nicer if it felt like a smaller space. There was also loud live music going on (one guy with his guitar) that made it impossible to hear people without yelling, wouldn't expect that at a hotel bar. The only major negative thing that impacted my review though was that it took about 20 minutes to place a drink order and I was standing at the bar top for that entire time, service was just too slow. Company function that wound up at Floe to cap the evening. As a larger group we were given an area to sit and mingle. Service was spot on and accommodating. Had their wings (had a craving) and love that you receive them with just a dry rub. On the plate you are give three dips and ranch to sample and enjoy. The wings hit the spot. I come to this hotel quite often, whether it is for work or to plan a stay for work. I was reluctant to write this review because I visit so often; however, after my experience at FLOE lounge I feel like this review is necessary. A few of my friends and I came here to grab a quick 45-minute lunch. The restaurant itself was not very busy when we arrived yet we had very slow service. Don't get me wrong, our waiter was very nice (he cleaned up after my friend's baby who broke a glass) and he was very attentive. Unfortunately, it took us close to two hours to even get our food. My main review is on the overpriced food and the quality of the food. We ordered one charcuterie board, three squash pasta dishes, grilled cheese and a cheese quesadilla. The squash pasta was absolutely horrible. I didn't even finish two bites of it. What astonished me was the cost... $20, really? There was a ton of water at the bottom of the bowl and it was extremely unappetizing. The grilled cheese sandwich was a joke. The bread quality was questionable, the cheese was not high-grade, and the french fries tasted like they were from the frozen department at the supermarket. Honestly, I will not be revisiting this lounge; my friends were also in agreement. It's completely overpriced and the quality of food is just not there. For what I paid, I could have gone to Flemings for a quality meal. This place is only decent if you want to sit down and grab a quick coffee. read more

The people who helped me were pleasant and efficient considering how busy it was. The burger was excellent and prepared to perfection. The picture doesn't do it justice. This was my first time here, if there was a lunch rush, I missed it (thankfully). I sat at the bar, had a Sculpin and a salad. The salad was fresh, I'd recommend the dressing on the side, it was a lovely and bright vinaigrette. The service was prompt and friendly. This review is solely for Happy Hour. 4-stars for the food 3-stars for their service Visited on a Wednesday evening after work. Floe is close to where I work so I did not have problems finding parking or had to pay for parking. However, I do believe you are able to get your parking ticket validated. It was fairly empty when we arrived and there were no servers or hostess we kind of just sat down at an empty table. A couple minutes later a server noticed us and brought us the menu. When we noticed it was the normal menu we asked if we could get the Happy Hour menu- the servers response to us made us a bit confused. She said "I'm not sure if we have anymore of those". The place was pretty much empty so it didn't make sense to us. 5 minutes later she finally came out with the Happy Hour menu. We ordered the Soft Baked Pretzels ($3), Jalapeno Sausage Cheese Puffs ($5) and Cavalier Wings ($7) and 2 glasses of their Happy Hour Chardonnay by Trinity Vineyards. The Cavalier Wings is a MUST order- they were delicious!! The Jalapeno Sausage Cheese Puffs were also great but had a very spicy kick to it. Overall a great and fairly priced place for Happy Hour! Location isn't the best it is in the Irvine Towers plaza and more accessible for those to work around the area. Service can definitely be improved. read more

Overnight at the Irvine Marriott for an early flight from SNA. The hotel is as reliable, comfortable and well managed as can be expected from a Marriott, but the Floe Lounge was a real let-down. Open to the lobby, less than convivial, and on the night we were there (May 5) the lounge singer was truly awful. And LOUD! Made check-in, fully 50' or more away, a shouting match. Ordered a batch of fries to snack on. They tasted like a plate of salt. Way over-salted and pretty gross.

FLOE is seriously impressive when it comes to hotel dining and drinking options. The drinks are carefully crafted and very well made, and the same goes for the food. My husband and I decided to come here to celebrate our anniversary. We hit up the bar area for a happy hour cocktail ($5 off drinks including the specialty cocktails), and the bartender that night was amazing! He was fun to watch as he skillfully prepared the drinks, making a bit of a show of it. I chose the pomegranate ginger martini and my husband ordered a double cross moscow mule. Both drinks were delicious! They're a bit pricey so do try to grab a drink during happy hour if you can. The inside dining area is comfortable but felt too hotel-like so we chose to dine outside. The outdoor dining area is quite nice, with a firepit, large umbrellas, blankets for when it gets chilly (it can get quite windy), and a really cool herb/veggie wall. I enjoyed seeing the bartender come out to pick herbs for his bar creations. Our friendly server told us how the little buzzer on our table worked. This is a great concept so you're never waiting long for your server to come check on you, and you can even request the check whenever you're ready. I was excited to see that FLOE offered several vegetarian options, including a very creative one: grilled cauliflower steak over polenta with grilled veggies and corn relish. We ordered that along with the ultimate veggie burger which comes topped with jack cheese, spinach, and sundried tomatoes. Both dishes came out quickly and were nicely presented. The cauliflower steak was great! Lots of flavor, good texture, and fresh tasting ingredients made this the winner of the night. We had been told that this dish was vegan, but I could definitely taste cheese in the polenta. The veggie burger was unfortunately a bit bland despite all the toppings. It needed some spice, acidity, and zing to sharpen up the flavors. The fries were crinkle cut and served in a cute metal cup. We were pretty stuffed by the end of the meal and were deciding if we should share a dessert. My husband had mentioned that it was our anniversary when he made the reservation, and the kitchen ended up surprising us with a beautiful chocolate berry cake on the house! Now that's great service! FLOE is offering one of the best hotel dining experiences in the area, and it's also great for us locals. Great atmosphere, great service, and above average food. Sitting outside by the fireplaces was perfect to enjoy a quality meal. The bread board was fantastic. The Marriott burger was average. Overall, staying at this hotel for a long time is a relief when you have quality food and service in the lobby. They also have little buttons to push for service but I'm not sure they really work. There's also a hidden bar behind the main bar that is open on select days. Give them a shot! read more

This is our go-to spot after work. It's inside the Marriott. Chef Ryan has recently revamped the menu and it's great! The Popcorn Chicken, Dry Rub Wings and Cauliflower are HIGHLY recommended. Hayden makes a mean Old-Fashioned. She uses classic techniques and it is impressive! I love my crew over there, Massimo, Brandy and Jose just to name a few. Yes, I am there way too much.... Been a regular for almost a year now and I'll be there more frequently when football comes back.... I'll finish up my late nights at the office by grabbing an IPA here. Searched for a local bar/lounge at the time and didnt know this place was locsted at the Irvine Marriott . Location - Perfect central location in Irvine. Parking - Plenty of parking in the structure or you can valet. Venue - Inside the Marriott but the bar is very large with indoor and outdoor seating. They have tvs, fire pits, private room for parties and much more. Food - They have good food to snack on, and selections for entrees that I didnt order at the time. Staff - Friendly and chill staff at the time as it was a slow night they always had us topped out. Pretty nice chill place to hang out and relax, also you get to see random crowds hanging out that keep it fun. read more
