Walleye fish sandwich.
Daniel B.

Fletcher's Wharf appears to be the only restaurant inside Terminal 2 (Humphrey) at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport. It's located directly inside the terminal after security. I stopped by the bar here ("Granddaddy's") to order food to-go. Typical pub grub. I tried a bit of of my friend's chicken quesadilla, which was surprisingly good. I recommend it if you like quesadillas. I ended up going with a walleye sandwich for myself. It was about $14 after tip and tax. The walleye was battered and deep fried and was served inside a bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. The sandwich came with a side of fries along with small containers of ketchup and tartar sauce. A pretty basic meal. It was essentially fish and chips. Overall, I thought everything was good except for the bread, which I took one bite out of and left the rest. The fries were more than enough. I think the kitchen should forego the bread and instead include more fish. I could tell the sandwich was made fresh to order. The fish was tasty. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order to arrive. Good service. One of the bartenders served me. I forgot his name, but he reminded me of Al Michaels. Looked and sounded just like him!

Grabbed these for breakfast before my flight.

I had an early morning flight and I needed to grab something to eat, but I wanted something that will hold me over better than the crap they sell on the plane. I saw this place not far from my gate and decided to go check it out. They had the somewhat expected variety of beverages, chips, packaged sandwiches and salads, plus a number of coffee drinks made to order. Fortunately they also had a few hot breakfast options. I was about to make my selection when a woman brought out some "hot and fresh" from however they reheat them in the back. I decided to grab these two. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fletchers-wharf-minneapolis?select=KJEvsf3cxQHNJk4C0S3bsQ#eHYd_FShtTVStHITe-mMlw They were hot and actually pretty tasty! But $4 each worth of tasty? I'm a captive in an airport after the security check point, so what other options do I have? As for service, there were two people behind the counter that seemed to not have a care in the world, or any sense of urgency in to trying to move the line of waiting customers. There were six people in front of me and it took ten minutes to reach the counter and pay.

$10 for some store-bought sweet potato fries, and it doesn't even come in a large bucket. omfg SERIOUSLY?!?! The mosquito bites aka fried shrimp/crab balls could've just been a plate of generic fried mystery meat balls for $15. Don't be stupid and go eat at Cucina Del Barrio a few gates down.

When "we are out of that" is repeated to you three times while ordering, go somewhere else! Very slow service in a very busy airport also not a good combination. The food that was coming out of the kitchen looked good enough. Just not on top Of their game here.

Come in and see friendly faces where the bartenders remember your name. Overall this is a place I would hang out. And I have. Meatloaf is delicious and not a typical sliced but your own, personal, meat log. Fantastic. Surprised/not surprised there were no green veggies. I will absolutely order again. Walleye fish and fries are their most popular menu item as reported by all staff and many reviews but it's too salty for me. And that's with plain fries, not Salt & Vinegar. I love that style of kettle chip but the fries are too much for me. Prefer the unseasoned version. It's a good portion and I was full haven eaten half. Try it! Split it! I left feeling more full than with over the meatloaf and I did not finish it. Baked vs. Fried food and all. One visit my side salad was forgotten. The server apologized and of course removed it from the bill. Another night found their delicious rolls rock hard. Sad but did I really need them. No but I wanted their warm and deliciousness. Full bar and a small wine, but well priced and featured wine list. From my observations eating at the bar, Twin City is a cocktail joint although I enjoyed the reasonably priced wine by the bottle offering. Would I go back? I'm here now.

Just the Minnesota Chicken and Wild Rice Chowder (where's the rice?). I had a Special - Fried Chicken Salad. It was pretty good. Lots of room in this place. Even a special back room for extra-large parties. Lots of choices to eat in the mall. This should be a visit.

Great little local spot in Saint Paul…read more There's a lot to like about Estelle so I'll try to keep it to what stands out: 1. The menu is wonderful, and the food comforting. The peri peri chicken was surprisingly spicy. I like spicy foods and it was teetering on a bit too hot for me, but I enjoyed the flavors and the dishes as a whole that we sampled. 2. The cocktails are divine. I had two old fashioneds and they were amongst some of the best I've had. 3. The service is impeccable. Friendly, well paced, and professional. 4. The ambiance is really comfortable. I liked that we weren't rushed, and had a really well paced meal in a nice environment. Overall I'd love to return someday. If you go be sure to make a reservation!

I had a cider and my date had the cornholio martini. She also gave us a shot of their house made lemon cello which was amazing. The host came and found us at the bar and showed us to our table. The ambiance reminded me of a late night New York cafe/bistro with a wooden accent wall and an open kitchen. The service was very attentive and informative. The papatas bravas were incredible. So much so that we got an order to go and I went the next day and got another order to go for dinner. They were THAT good. I got the rigatoni and my date got casarecce. Both were excellent. The kitchen was kind enough to also give us two churros for dessert which were warm and delicious. Absolutely definitely will go again. A great choice for date night or dinner with friends.

Ambiance: Both my aunt and cousin's daughter lived in this neighborhood and hadn't been here: all…read moreof us will be back! It had want I wanted for my aunt: an attached parking lot and lots of flat surfaces. It also had what I wanted for a perfect July day: an outdoor, covered patio! Service: When we peeked in the patio, a server said "pick any table you want, i'll be back with a basket." There were maybe 10 tables. The "basket" had silverware, napkins, menu and the QR code for ordering. The server explained that we got our own water and could order inside or through the QR. That is always a little annoying to me (Karen!) but the water was full, the food came out quickly, and they checked on us and cleared the plates in a reasonable manner. Food: I order steak salads as my go too and sometimes the steak is tough: not this steak! It was as smooth as butter! Delicious. My dinner companions ate all their food (we were talking and not about the food, but a clean plate is always a good indication.)

Their chicken tinga taco bowl is pretty darn good but the pizza is meh. Today I came and had a glass of Sauvignon blanc and a small house salad with dressing on the side. The wine was lukewarm which, first world problems right? But if I'm paying $9 for a glass of white wine, come on bro serve it chilled. The dressing came on the side but they omitted the croutons and roasted pecans for some unknown reason and there was a small black hair at the very bottom. Plus you have to serve yourself water, no one checks on you, you submit your order via an app (not a problem I just don't see expecting a twenty percent tip for near non service despite society moving that way) and no one asks, hey is your salad shittier than expected? They don't care. Lol. Patio is cute though.
