    Clubhouse with cheese curds
    Tabitha H.

Bloomington this was a stop for a simple lunch. Clubhouse with cheese curds and soup/sandwich. The clubhouse was food the meat was flavorful. The cheese curds were really good and fresh but a slight bit salty for my tastes the upcharge was expected but probably wouldn't do it again. The Mediterranean soup was good and HOT. The grilled cheese was basic. I inquired about the turkey cheese and the ham and cheese and was told they only come with meat and cheese nothing else on it. The server was really nice.

I was so happy to see that Zes Diner has opened in Bloomington! They just opened in June and the space is a great location close to Cub. They have a patio area and plenty of seating inside. I ordered the Gyro sandwich and it was good. The menu has something for everyone! From Mexican, to American, to Mediterranean, etc there is something for all tastes! The servers are friendly and quick to meet any requests. The manager was kind and made us feel welcome and appreciated.

Steak and eggs with a side of pancakes per request.

The place was clean. They had a usable bathroom with great decor and paintings everywhere with an old school vibe. The food came out quick and the server was very attentive and patient, got us everything we asked for with kindness. The food tastes good, the whole experience was great. I would go again.

Today (7/2/25) First time I went to Ze's Diner Bloomington! We had a great experience my friend Liz and I! Awesome customer service! They have every kind of food that you can think of from Greek to breakfast to burgers to everything! The ambiance '50s Diner look the decor the music everything! It just opened on Monday June 30th and there are seven locations around the Twin Cities! Went to the one in Eagan on Monday had a great experience there as well! You should go check it out for yourself any of their locations!

    Vintage atmosphere. Very bright energy

The food was phenomenal! We got fried pickles, an omelette, and biscuits & gravy. Chai latte was fantastic, and our waitress Cindy was incredible. We live a couple hours away in South Dakota, but this makes an easy weekend trip worth it. She was so kind, extremely attentive, and the food was quick to come out with great quality.

We got a five dollar sangria and four dollar margarita, which was great. our server, John was friendly and our food came out very quickly. We ordered the salmon and the Alfredo steak pasta. Both were delicious and something I really appreciate about this place is that the food portions are just right. They are not too small or two over abundant. There's a lot of natural light and the ambience is casual but still put together and nice.

The inside is quite swank, featuring a pretty large bar area on the right when you first enter. We were there for a sit-down dinner, so we proceeded around the left to the counter to get a table. I noticed this place must have a decent loyal following because of the merch you could purchase there at the counter (tee shirts, hats, sweat shirts, etc)! It wasn't too busy despite it being Friday night, so we got a table right away. It was really hard to pick what I wanted off the menu because A LOT of the options looked deliciously tempting (just gonna have to go back), but I eventually decided on a shrimp pasta, and that was the RIGHT choice. Mmm, so good! And a decent portion for the price too, as I took half of it home in a to-go box. I was pleased by the speed at which they got our order ready, as well as how attentive the server was (my in-laws suck down iced tea like no one's business, but she managed to keep them topped off regularly). The parking lot is interesting, as it has above ground and underground parking (probably nice to have the option to go below during the snowy winters around here). It shares the parking lot with a grocery and some other things, which felt a bit cramped, but as I said, we happened to be there when it wasn't too crowded somehow.

The inside is beautiful and made for a really nice dining experience. We started with the Eichten's cheese curds, and they were excellent. They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a great experience, and I'd happily return. Glad i was able to cross this one off of my list.
