Overpriced bagels ..They make bagels for the patrons after you first. First come first serve I have to go to work. Don't play with my time.

I would say more a 4.5 than a 4! I really enjoy the bagels here and they have so many different flavors of cream cheese which I think is super fun! There is a line sometimes but I would say things move pretty fast! There is some seating which is nice, but they are also close to prospect park so great to grab and go. I took over the .5 because I think it's a little expensive especially if you get a lox's bagel with all three toppings (tomato, onion, capers). I know that lox's bagels are more expensive in general but I believe the total is 16.88 (I could be a little off on the price) which is a bit steep.

Local bagel shops. Big fat bagels. $1.75 for a bagel. $20 for a dozen. Close to the prospect park train station

Had breakfast here with a friend recently and was quite pleased. The menu has a variety of options to choose from; bagels, omelets, coffee, etc. My friend and I had a delicious omelet with whole wheat toast. I grabbed some fresh orange juice although I wanted an iced coffee (I'll have that next time of course). The line moves very quickly in here and there's seating inside to enjoy your meal. The staff are patient and friendly. I'll be back here soon without question!

STOP FORGETTING the FETA cheese in my Greek omelettes. Twice this weekend NO feta! I'm done! Flavorless!

Stop leaving key ingredients out of omelette and making excuses. All weekend you got my breakfast orders wrong. In a row. Not okay, I'm done! Flavorless omelette without Feta, that's what makes it GREEK!

I was in and out so quick! The service was awesome. I was more than happy with the bagel that I ordered. It was stacked full with lots of salmon and cream cheese!! Just the way I love it. Thanks so much. I will surely be back again for that pure Brooklyn ambiance.

ten dollars for two bagels with cream cheese. Blueberry bagel with tofu creamcheese add avocado, and sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. Fresh bagels lots of workers in the baking part of the store. you can tell its fresh out. Lady working counter is friendly, a good place for bagels but a bev from the fridge is $3.

I love this shop! They're cash preferred which isn't always convenient, but who cares when every bagel you get is delicious? The team is always so friendly. They're quick most of the time, but I have seen them get backed up in a rush. The bagels are worth it! They give a nice portion, too. I always have half for breakfast and half a couple hours later. There's seating for only a handful of people, so I typically opt for take away. It's a great option if you want to pick up some bagels and head to Prospect Park for a stroll after.

It's a fine bagel and fresh but absolutely no taste. I mean if you add a ton of extras then sure it would be good; just like on a piece of cardboard Not a destination shop unless in the area

I stopped here prior to a running event in prospect park. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese. The bagels were very fresh and soft. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

It's like a bagel utopia right on Flatbush Avenue! I'm not a morning person but whenever I get a bagel from here "it's a good morning". Seems like the bulk of the other reviews have been written by other "non-morning" people who were a little hangry. Nonetheless, I have been here many times in person and recommend that you try them out. Whoa, the bagels! They are hearty and tasty. They definitely embody the classic NY flavor without being dry. The egg bagels deserve an honorable mention. And the cream cheese options are mighty varied though I just stick to the savory ones that preferably have chives in them. The price is on par with other bagel shops in highly re-gentrified areas; steep but you definitely get what you pay for. I gladly fork out the $10.50, $11.43 with taxes for the Italian hero which is the shining star in my opinion. It's a swine lover's dream atop the bagel of your choice. I opt for a perfectly toasted poppy seed bagel and nix the tomatoes. I go and forth with whether to add Mayo or not because it's not completely necessary; the included oil and vinegar hits the spot too. I have only been able to make it through one half for breakfast but trust me the other half is just as good for lunch. I recommend that you come through on the earlier end of traditional breakfast hours, definitely before hunger has set in and you are to patiently wait for your bagel to be made just the way that you like it.

Bagels were nice and soft, not sure why this place only has 3 stars. Everything bagel in particular was tasty and well-put together.

As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. No good morning no acknowledgement of comprehending what you order they just walk away and start the order. Which is why I double check always. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. We wanted to try something different after having explored so many of the typical places in Manhattan and Shelsky's came highly recommended While I was expecting a long wait on a Saturday mid-morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find the establishment with only a few in line before us. Now, I was desperately seeking a very simple belly lox with schmear, but much to my dismay, they didn't have any more belly lox. I was heartbroken and had to figure out a plan B While I pondered, the family quickly ordered a Peter Shelsky, a Great Gatsby, and a Fancy Pants. I crumbled in my panic and jumped in with another Peter Shelsky. We also tried a small amount of whitefish salad and a beet/thyme salad The service was quick and we were able to grab two of the three small tables at the front to enjoy our fare. Soon we were digging in and from the immediate silence, I could tell everyone was enjoying their choices. The bagels were on the smaller side, denser with a firm crust. We did enjoy the bagels, but I could see how someone not familiar with this style may find them too "cardboard-y" I have to say, the pickled herring on the Peter Shelsky was fantastic, but was way too overpowering for the nova and sable. I actually regretted my choice and would order something more sunken next time. (Or get to the store earlier to beat the rush for the darn belly lox!) The beet salad was quite a nice balance to for the bagels adding a bit of brightness. The whitefish salad was solid - a hint of smoke and a creamy puree. Some who prefer a chunkier whitefish salad might find this less than satisfactory, but the flavors were great A cure store, friendly and patient staff, a great first exposure to Brooklyn for the boys. We'll be back (and we want belly lox!!)

It's a pretty spacious bagel spot with ample seating menu's with pricing for all items they sell which is helpful. Food: 3/5 I ordered a jalapeño bagel with turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs. The bagel was okay nothing to rave about your standard bagel. Nothing to make me fave about it. The texture was chewy and a bit doughy if you like your bagels that texture this may be the spot for you. Overall my bagel was about 10-12$ I believe. They charge extra for a rainbow bagel and other specialty bagels like jalapeño. Which is pretty expensive so make sure you're aware of that. Service: 3/5 The customer service was mediocre. The guy at the front wasn't the most pleasant. Very much get you in an out top of place. They weren't rude but not the most cheerful I'd say. Ambiance: 3/5 standers bagel shop nothing really impressive or spectacular. I will say when in the area due to the lack of places to eat that make REAL food.
