This place had such great reviews and I decided to give it a chance on Uber eats! They use different couriers so be aware they send you a link for tracking. It to be honest this was one of the best Uber eats experiences I've had I ordered an ice latte, an everything bagel with bacon, cheddar and scallion cream cheese and a bacon egg and cheese. Happy when this finally reopened under new management. Went in for half a pound of tuna salad. Got charged $11. I aksed how much for a pound they said $22. I had already paid so I left. Looked up the price later, it was $13 a pound. Won't go again. Stupid move. read more

I used to like their bagels, but since they reopened a couple weeks ago after a long re-construction, their bagels are now twice the thickness of the old ones - no longer dense and chewy (as bagels should be) but are now huge yeasted rolls. Gentlemen, you get 5 STARS on top of the 5 stars for this review and a huge THANK YOU for being so friendly. Looks like Smith st bagel offers a huge variety of freshly made bagel and a fridge full of different spreads. I was pleasantly surprised seeing cucumber dill, honey bacon or chipotle flavors just to name few. The shop has some indoor seating and few benches outside. I noticed Smith Street Bagels as I was heading into an imaging appointment across the street. I just knew I was going to grab a bagel before I headed home. SSB had a wide variety of cream cheeses: vegan, gluten free, and a myriad of flavors. First time at Smith St bagels. Order in the back at the counter and pay at the front after. They stick to the traditional bagel flavor offerings but have a large variety of cream cheese flavors. At noon on a Saturday the place was reasonably busy but not swamped, so we were able to grab a table for two to eat there. I ordered the Mocha special (lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, capers) on an onion bagel for $13. On the whole it was good, but there was too much tomato for my liking- it distracted from the rest of the ingredients. There was less lox for the price compared to another place in the neighborhood I've been to, but it was still a reasonable amount. This is one of the few bagel joints around that is open late. I believe they used to be open 24 hours, but I'm not sure that is still the case. When I came around 5pm, most of the bagel selection had already been depleted so I opted for an everything pumpernickel with scallion and lox cream cheese ($6.95). I was stuck between that or the mushroom and truffle, but decided on the former after both staff members recommended it. Next day i approach the manager and he simply laughed in my face and said "ONE SLICE is what they give. Smith St Bagels makes it to one of my top three bagel spots in Brooklyn. Does it claim the top spot? No, but it arguably offers the best value for the quality and price ($1 each). Their bagels are consistently solid, with the requisite chewiness inside. I love their everything bagels and even their everything, sesame, and multi-grain flats. For a sweeter alternative, their French toast bagels are fabulous. For novelty, they even offer rainbow bagels. Personally I don't think the multi-color swirls add much in the way of taste and don't love the use of food coloring, so wouldn't order them again. There are a lot of things Smith Street Bagels does well. Where they often fall short is in getting orders right. On numerous occasions I have ordered bacon, egg and cheeses with SPKH (salt, pepper, ketchup, hot sauce) and they often forget the condiments. No biggie, I can add it at home. I've also asked for avocado and they've forgotten that too. When you're charged an extra $2 for avocado on your order, you expect to have it on there. Disappointing. Delivery orders often miss the mark too. We used Door Dash to get a chicken salad sandwich a few weeks ago and asked for lettuce tomato and cheddar cheese - none of the extras were there - luckily door dash gave me a credit for the oversight. Today (in store), ordered an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and tomato: forgot the tomato. My wife's plain bagel with scallion cream cheese was seriously lacking on the spread. Normally cream cheese is spilling out the sides of every bite. What's most surprising of this is that there's a person who writes down your order on a post it note and hands it directly to the person making your food. If you're going there in the future, make sure you check everything before walking out the door, otherwise you might be missing something and overcharged. I would really like to rely on this place more since it makes good quality bagels and sandwiches for Carroll Gardens, but they have to do better on getting the orders right. read more

Amazing bagels and sandwiches in a cute location! I'm supposed to be eating healthy rn but I woke up with a craving for carbs and life is short. We came here on a Sunday morning around 11am and only waited in line for about 5 minutes. They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also had the prettiest rainbow bagels I've ever seen. They had a huge selection of specialty sandwiches and bagel sandwiches. They also take credit card FYI. We got the lox mocha special on a rainbow bagel and a pastrami rueben, and both were delicious. I like that they put the perfect amount of cream cheese, not too much and not too little (I feel like most bagel shops put way too much and I end up wiping it off). The rueben came on a baguette that was toasted to perfection fr, with a lot of pastrami and sauerkraut. I def recommend taking your food to eat outside on the street. The ONLY reason I am rating this establishment with 4 stars is because they recently changed their hours. They have always been a 24 hour bagel joint. This place was busy when I went. The shop has a modern feel to it. However, that is not to mention that the bagels are not good. They are big, although some of them are formed in a weird shape. It's in a quaint neighborhood, so you can take a walk around to explore the area as well, as you wait for your order, and there is a Trader Joe's nearby. I highly recommend the everything bagel, it costs the same as the other bagels here, but is oh so much better than a plain bagel. This isn't the bagel spot I would take tourists to, but I've come back repeatedly because of their consistent quality. My orders are always correct. The lox is solid, their spreads and bagels are very good. Their fresh juices make the experience for me because I can get my carbs on while also being healthy. Finally made it out to Smith St after a friend told me it was their favorite local spot. I'm definitely a fan of this place and all that's going on. Interior is your typical bagel/deli with a bright clean interior. The line was long but moved very fast. A few 4 tables inside and outside as well. Food: Classic lox - 5/5 - was a good balanced meal. Not a ton of smoked salmon but that helped with the balance of flavors from the other toppings. The bagel was crispy but not burnt and not overbearing.
