My wife got her vehicle inspected just now. When she asked for her insurance card she was advised that it had unfortunately been put in another car. So someone else now has our insurance info, vin, home address. That's too much information in this day and age to simply shrug off as a mistake. I wouldn't recommend this place because of that. Responsibility with personal information should be a priority. In response to owner-Not sure what you expect my wife to do when you've already lost the info other than say it's OK. She's not gonna sit there and cause a scene. You lost it, I reviewed your service based on that. No extra comments or insults to your business needed. That simple. read more

Place does state auto inspections for vehicles. Not much parking in gas station, but you can schedule an appointment in advance. Theres a taco stand next door. Service was courteous, straight forward and quick. No upsales. Will come back next year. read more

@flashpointautoinspection I drove 20 minutes to get a smog check showed. I showed up and was not sure where to park so I called the office. I was on the phone with them. I stepped out of my car for a minute. One of the employees there jumped in my car with NO MASK on and drove off. I went chasing my own car and said you didn't move. When I called back to complain they said what's your problem! My problem is you got in my car without my persimmon, drove off with it while I wasn't looking and didn't even care to put a mask on . You guys should be ashamed of how you run a business. With a generic name like flash point, you'd think they would be quick and valued your time. My car passed the emissions, but failed the inspection due to the center brake light bulb not working. I was told that if I returned, I wouldn't have to wait a second time in line. When I showed up the next day, it's like the conversation never happened - i had to sit around and wait again in those shitty plastic dollar store lawns chairs again. The gas station clerk told me she asked the inspector, but he refused. I never saw them communicate. I'm assuming it was via text. I contacted meineke just a block over and they offered to change the bulb for free to pass the vehicle, but would have to charge me for the inspection. I figured the inspector was honest and not make me wait again. I always refuse to do business with anyone who doesn't respect my time. read more

I went to the station @ Ben White/S. 1st St. & there was a couple of bags of trash that a customer left at the pump. I was kind enough to pick up the trash to place in a trash container but I didn't see one so I took it into the store. The Hispanic women at the register was rude to me for bringing in the trash & she also didn't clear the pump the 3 times I asked her to get gas. She then gave me back my $10 & told me to get gas elsewhere. She needs to be remanded about her rude behavior, as i buy gas there on a regular basis. read more

This place is fast! The cashier runs a tight ship - super efficient. And the guys doing the inspections are really quick. They've got a good system and get you in and out really quickly. Great spot, came to these guys initially without any appt. & needed a vehicle from out-of-state registered. No problem with that, smog inspection done while U waited in about 30 mins. This was especially impt since there were dark clouds overhanging and a flash thunderstorm going to hit that afternoon. I am new to the state and came here to get a state inspection. I was a bit confused by the process and rather than answering my questions, the lady at the front desk proceeded to yell at me for 10 minutes without providing any helpful information. She insisted she could not accept my insurance card because it mentioned my previous state on it, despite proving that the insurance was registered to Austin, TX. Eventually, I walked out after being berated for so long. On my way out, I was told good luck in finding another inspector who would be faster than 15 minutes. I proceeded to drive to the next closest inspector, who said there is no such law or issue he's ever heard of about my insurance card mentioning another state. He's been doing this 10+ years. As a matter of fact, he can accept any insurance, even if NOT registered to Austin, TX, so long as it meets coverage minimums. He had my car in and out in 10 minutes. Update based on owner response: I showed a declaration. There was no refusal. I was then told "maybe that will work. I don't know" and told to wait in line behind two other inspections to find out. Given the poor customer service previously mentioned, I decided to take my business elsewhere rather than wait around on a "maybe" read more
