I mentioned that my windshield wiper fluid was not flowing at all - and for free they all stopped and tried to fix it for me. I am not a car person and because of that i find myself coming back to this Jiffy Lube, i feel like they never try to upsell me and always take the time to explain what Im getting/what Im paying for. Always a plus that getting your air pressure checked/fixed is free as well. I've never had an issue here and the wait is normally (during the work week in early afternoon) no longer than 30-45 minutes, if not no wait at all. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE. I went in on a Wednesday to get an oil change on my Subaru. They tried for 30+ minutes to get the oil plug out of the drain pan. They mentioned over and over that whoever previously put the oil plug in twisted it too tight. That's all they said multiple times as I sat in my car and could hear and feel them whacking at the oil plug to get it unscrew. They never mentioned anymore details. They ended up telling me the only option would be to replace the entire oil pan for $1200. The following Monday I took my vehicle into the Subaru dealership. While I was waiting for the oil change they sent a video showing me my oil pan - the oil plug had been stripped (most likely from them trying to get it off) AND there was a dent in my oil pan (from the 30 minutes spent whacking at it) AND that a crack was starting to form. I'll let stripping the oil plug slide. Again, when I was at Jiffy Lube they mentioned over and over that it was just on too tight. Never a mention of it alrdy being stripped, never a mention of an obvious dent where the plug screws into the pan, and never a crack. Subaru was quoting me $2600 to replace the oil pan. Everyone needing work done or even something simple like an oil change should take their vehicles to Hi Tech Automotive on South Congress. I've had the owner work on my jeep wrangler and now my Outback. He replaced the oil pan for $1400. He's very professional and will shoot you straight. He attempted to get the oil plug out and to seal the crack but was unable to due to the stripping. Jiffy Lubes have a sub par reputation and this location exemplifies why that is. Lesson learned. read more

I recently visited the Jiffy Lube location on IH35 and Oltorf for an emissions inspection, only to find out that the regular attendant who handles them had been absent for several days. The assistant manager was the one doing the inspections instead, and he informed me that he wouldn't work on my car's emissions test unless I also got an oil change. I explained that I didn't need an oil change at the moment, just the emissions test. I told the attendant that it wasn't fair what the assistant manager was asking, and to please reconsider and help me with the inspection. The assistant manager's response? I could park and wait for two hours, and maybe he'd get around to it. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and unethical. If they're this shady about something like an emissions inspection, I can only imagine how they handle other customers and vehicle services. Honestly, I wouldn't trust them to work on anything. Definitely not a place I'd recommend. I feel bad for the nice attendant that has to put up with a terrible assistant manager like that. No wonder the other guy hasn't shown up! read more

I can't be too mad because there was literally only one guy working the entire time on all the cars. I pulled up on a Saturday at 1 when there may have been less traffic. There was about 5 cars in front and most seemed like they were there for oil change. I was trying to have then check out a weird noise in my car. One car leaves out of frustration, the rest of us wait it out. 1.5 hours later I get to the front and they said they only do basic maintenance and the one guy who was working today only knew how to do oil changes. Again not mad buuut a sign indicating that would have been nice when we first got there. read more

I wouldn't come here for a state inspection, very slow and unorganized. The state inspector here is also a bit rude and controlling. Wouldn't recommend it, there are a few other state inspector places around the area that do it way quicker, with better service quality, and cheaper. read more

Drove in on a Saturday at 11:30. Saw 4 people on the floor, 2 out of 3 docks had cars, & was one person waiting ahead of me. I sat there for 10 minutes - they saw me but no one went up to me or acknowledged me. Everyone looked pissed off. I called the shop and saw a guy walk over to the phone, pick it up and then hang up. Waited another 10 minutes and just left. Not sure what's going on at this location but there's some underlying issues at the business level if all of their people look upset and aren't providing customers with service read more

First I had to call around to 5 different jiffy lubes before I found one that had an air filter and cabin filter for my car. I drive a Hyundai Sonata, nothing fancy, nothing exotic, less than 5 years old. I guess I should have asked the cost before I came. I normally do a synthetic oil and always get my air filter replaced. I was going to go ahead and do my cabin filter as well this time. I was thinking maybe $100 total, I don't ever remember spending more than that. Guy comes to me and says $176.00. There synthetic oil started at $90?! Wtf?! Seriously?. I told them don't do anything aside from the oil change (and that is because they had already drained the oil from my car) I told them use the blend instead of the pure synthetic. Even after a $15 coupon, just change the oil and oil filter cost me $65. I didn't love the service I got over at Take 5, but over there I even had my windshield wipers replaced and came out for under $100 (didn't do the cabin filter at the time, admittedly) Maybe I'm nuts. Maybe I'm just out of touch with how much an oil change costs these days, but this seems like straight up highway robbery to me. I won't be coming back to jiffy lube. There is an oil change place just up Oltorf from here that is local mom and pop, and have always treated me well. I'm sorry I didn't just go there. To top it all off, even with the crazy high prices here, they couldn't even print up one of the mileage stickers, and hand wrote it totally Jenky. I mean WTF? Absolutely horrible customer service when it comes to vehicle inspections. The inspector is so rude and unreliable. He is scheduled to be here at specific times and is INCREDIBLY late, then calls out last minute. How you employ someone who just picks and chooses when they come in is beyond me. I was told he would be there by 10am and waited well past that time and he still never showed. The professionalism is definitely lacking. When I asked the first time I went, if I could leave my car and be called, like it was offered, the inspector was incredibly rude and told me no. I was expected to sit in the lobby and wait for almost 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

The staff went above and beyond! They were incredibly kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and truly looking out for you! I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to cars and was originally coming for just an oil change. Little did I know that my car needed so much other things done! The guy who took me in (Amber) brought up how I needed the other things done and why it is important to do the maintenance for specific item. I am grateful for the whole team who worked on my car (Amber, Adam, John, Jordan, Michael). My car feels GREAT and I am so happy with the work they did. Shout out to Amber and Adam for giving me tips on car maintenance and being so kind and understanding! Overall, I learned a lot and also remembered how people can be so kind and helpful.
