Okay so I'll definitely be back. The food, in my opinion, is pretty good. It's packed mainly in the weekends, but it has an environment for the most part. Now. Let's talk about the service. The service from the front desk people, is ALWAYS good from my experience. BUT the servers are CRAZY for tips! When me and my family finish eating, they ALWAYS beg for a tip. They're honestly really rude. They've even asked $5 per person. So I recommend whenever you're done eating, to hurry up and leave out the door before one of the servers see you. Now this is crazy. I've only experienced this one time, so it's never really that deep. But I found a fruit fly on my melons. Of course I didn't eat it, but we were on a rush so I didn't get to say anything. I would've asked for a refund. But yeah, other than that. It's an okay restaurant.

    Rock crabs and crawfish!

Honestly, you can't beat a better AYCE buffet. Flaming Grill offers 6-7 food station including hibachi and sushi. The hibachi station offers pieces of good rib eye slices and shrimp for you to enjoy. This location offers AYCE rock crabs. I don't believe the other locations do. I usually go for rock crabs and crawfish right away. The crawfish here is Cajun seasoned. It's not the best quality but for $17 AYCE, can you really complain? All these bad reviews talking bad about the food, I just don't get it. It's an AYCE buffet but you're expecting 5 Star quality food? Lol For $17, you get 8-10 different type of seafood to enjoy, all the Chinese food you can think of, and fried chicken! And for the reviews that complains about being charged tip already, they do let you know in advance and they do give you a receipt . From my experience, 70% people do not tip the waiters and waitresses after they're done eating. They're constantly cleaning after customers. Put yourself in their shoes and what they have to deal with. If it was up to me, I would charge 20% right away for groups larger than 6 and not 12%. If you complain about tipping in this type of environment, where they work so hard after you leave a mess, just stay home. I highly recommend coming here for big gatherings.

The hostess was very kind and accommodating. I have high suspicions this place is owned by Chinese people based on some clues, such as Chinese style noodles on the ramen menu and steamed pork buns as an appetizer. We got the beef noodle soup which was excellent (albeit not expected in a Japanese restaurant!). It was actually a little spicy. Came with lots of beef and a flavorful and rich broth. We got two of the special rolls, Kiss of Fire and (I think) Torched Yellowtail, which were both tasty. No complaints there! For our appetizer we got sashimi salad, composed of strips of several kinds of raw fish (salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail) and some surimi and avocado on top of a bed of greens. There was a ponzu like sauce on the side. Although fresh and not bad tasting, I think this was a bit plain. Overall though, the prices and vibes were good and I'd come back!

It's not…read morecomparable to authentic Tokyo, NY, LA, or Boston, so it doesn't warrant 5 stars globally, but it does deserve 5-stars for a dependable, flavorful suburban Japanese eatery. The food quality is above average, the execution is high, and the service is attentive. The space is clean and efficient, but lacks warmth. We visited the day after a large 1-2 foot snowstorm, and Ochi was one of the only restaurants open in town. I've eaten at Ochi 4x since it opened in 2023, although there's a lot more to explore on its expansive and prolific menu. On this visit, we tried a Tuna Poke Bowl, a Salmon Pome Bowl, a Katsu Ramen, a Mango Salad, and a Mochi desert. Regarding the Tuna Poke Bowl, Ochi took the liberty of substituting more expensive fatty tuna (Toro), for regular tuna (Maguro), a generous and appreciated gift as a thanks for dining on a very slow night due to the storm. Hence, I would recommend everything we tried: the Mango Salad, any of the Sushi, Sashimi and Maki choices, the Poke bowls and Ramen (especially the Spicy Miso Ramen, the chicken Katsu Ramen, and any of the traditional pork or beef Ramen choices). In addition, the deserts are especially worth trying, and are all well orchestrated. You can't really go wrong at Ochi.

Location is great, there were able 2 employees working the front. Not really sociable with us but very chatty with each other. Pricing is a bit on the higher end for the quality for sure, out of 7 dishes between a group of 4 and 2 were for sure pre-made items only 2 dishes were ok. As for the food itself, I can say it's more on a "cleaner" side vs the extra flavor and oily texture you'd get from a fast food chain. The ramen broth was subtle, the noodle perfect, but the flavor wasn't there. The Chef special roll was way over priced for what you get, especially only having 1 piece being the best out of the "assorted" fish. The hibachi wasn't good in my opinion, good portion though. Would not order that again. The chicken teriyaki flavor was great, chicken texture was more like grilled on a pan vs over flame. Loved the veggies though. The gyoza and takoyaki were good as well as the strawberry mochi icecream. Wish they were more friendly though, making us feel like we were inconvenient for them was a major turn off.

I had to ask the owner to close the door! The last visit, the floor was very dirty. Look liked it had not been washed in a month. The sushi chefs aren't Japanese. There is a limited sitting area, so if a large crowd is there...it is quite noisy and you can hear everyone's conversation. I have unfortunately had to endure some doozies..especially the long one of womans bathroom emergency at the top of Machu Picchu! It is adequate, but not in my opinion a Japanese "restaurant," the owners are Korean, so there is a lot of Korean dishes on menu. Not a friendly bunch, ask a question and they stare or nod at you. Restaurant needs a serious makeover, looks like it's stuck in 80s, mall restaurant court.
