Reviewing the hotel this time around. We are Wynn Rewards members and sometimes that has its perks. Got a room because of it and had a nice stay. The room itself is gorgeous just like the rest of the resort and casino. It's very classy and classic inside, mostly white and cream decor with pops of color. We had the king suite and it was super spacious with a couch, large bathroom, bath, shower, and a nice view of the harbor. It's also very tech savvy with an ipad that controls mostly everything in the room. Beds are also comfortable and it was super clean. They have food/drinks in the fridge but you have to pay. It's nice for a little getaway and convenient if you want to sleep after playing in the casino downstairs. Plus parking is free and there's a water shuttle to Boston. Honestly a good idea for tourists too wanting to see the city. I'd stay here again! read more

I rarely leave reviews like this, but my experience at Encore Boston Harbor was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn other business travelers. The problems started before I even arrived. I was traveling from Logan Airport and followed Encore's own website instructions for the shuttle. Those instructions were wrong. Because the hotel had not updated its posted pickup location, I spent roughly an hour walking around downtown Boston in the rain trying to find the shuttle. I called twice for help and spoke with two different representatives, both of whom were deeply uninterested and unable or unwilling to provide useful assistance. When I finally found the correct shuttle area, I waited even longer in the rain, only for the driver to tell me and two other passengers that we needed to get on a different shuttle that was already pulling away from the curb. We literally had to chase it down to catch it. Because of this, I missed a work meeting. Unfortunately, arriving at the hotel did not improve the experience. After standing in an excessively long check-in line, I finally got to the front desk, where the staff confidently insisted that I needed to pay the full room amount, even though my company had already paid for the reservation. At that point I was exhausted, wet, and late, so I paid it just to get into the room. Now my office manager is having to argue with the hotel because staff are apparently claiming I never had a reservation at all -- which is especially strange given that I am currently sitting in the room, and we have an emailed receipt showing that the room was already paid for. Even worse, the staff member speaking with my office manager has reportedly been snarky, condescending, and dismissive while she tries to resolve a problem created by the hotel's own systems. Rather than helping investigate the discrepancy, he appears to be treating her as though she is confused or incompetent. That is unacceptable customer service under any circumstances, but it is especially galling when she is the one trying to clean up Encore's billing and reservation mistake. This was not one minor inconvenience. It was a cascade of failures: incorrect transportation instructions, unhelpful phone support, chaotic shuttle coordination, a missed business meeting, a miserable check-in process, an apparent duplicate charge, and now a billing/reservation dispute being handled with condescension instead of professionalism. For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury resort, this was genuinely embarrassing. Nothing about this experience felt organized, hospitable, or guest-focused. It felt like a high-end property with low-end operations and staff who could not be bothered to solve problems they helped create. Encore Boston Harbor may be a great place to stay if you enjoy being wet, late, overcharged, dismissed, and treated like an inconvenience. I will not stay here again, and I would strongly caution business travelers against relying on this hotel for anything that requires competent logistics, accurate billing, or basic customer service. Came for a sponsored event. Was told at check in that the room was comped by the organizer. Took my work card for "incidentals." Ended up charging me for the room and then claiming "guest responsible for all charges." There was no accountability from the girl who checked me in. Called 3x and got the runaround. Asked them not to reach out to the organizer to pay for it but they did it anyways which is UNPROFESSIONAL. Told I would be called back not once, but 3x. No call back. Finally, demanded a Manager and all they said was "well someone has to pay for it." Classless, unprofessional way of handling THEIR miscommunication. I'll never be back. read more

Didn't expect to find a casino in Boston. Glad there is one in Boston. The great thing about this one is that you don't have to pay for parking like how it is in Vegas. The inside is so beautiful and elegant. Lots of slot machines and table games. Walking around the casino feels like you are in Vegas. There are several restaurants inside. We were driving around Boston and discovered this casino by accident. Glad we decided to stop by. From what we can see from passing through, it is a great place to gamble. What a beautiful Casino Resort property (Wynn Resorts) here in Massachusetts. It really feels like you are in Las Vegas. It is not too far from the Logan International Airport and other fun attractions. This location offers free self-parking daily. Sign up for a free reward and get $50 slot or table game. I chose the table games. I was lucky to play twice and won $50 roulette table. I did not stay long and was able to glance the floor quickly. They have fine dinings and retails stores. I've had fun the 2 times I've gone but it's more the company I've went with, than the venue. Frankly it reeks of desperation. Peeps look a touch rough around the edges-think Carnival cruise ships crowd. I am Planning to check out the steakhouse soon though. It does look good and the reviews are solid. A beautiful resort/casino. The lobby decor is picture perfect. There's also a harborwalk outside which is really lovely for a stroll. The parking garage has four levels and can actually get pretty full when it's busy. Note that minors are required to use the resort elevators which bypass the casino. The casino itself is really big; make sure you don't miss the second floor! The casino and the washrooms are clean. A huge variety of machines. Lots of food choices ranging from cheap (Dunkin') to high end steakhouses. Even when the parking lot is full, the casino doesn't feel insanely crowded because it's spacious enough. For new players, there is a $50 freeplay promotion when you sign up. The only con is that we did find that the elevators were kind of slow. Well Imagine having a friend invite you to stay at Encore on them and having a miserable time. Check in was terrible experience for our friend and us to begin with. The line took forever to move. She booked a room for 2 nights and asked for a third and they said she would have to move to another room, she said no problem but it took them well over an hour with no place to sit and wait just stand. My wife has horrible back pain and this extended standing was painful. A Five Star Hotel with no seats in the lobby for elderly or disabled individuals. After finally getting the pass card they had no one to help us with our luggage to the room. Getting to the room we had to figure out to turn the lights on because they were computerized to an I-Pad next to the bed and was never told about this. Come to find out the I-Pad was not registered and nothing worked not even the TV. The bathroom light did work and 1 light by the bed. When she called to complain they said we were incompetent and just didn't know what we were doing. They never did anything about it and more complaining just fell on deaf ears. We couldn't order take out because of the I-pad so we went to The Rare lounge and received horrible service and high prices. We don't care if the price is high if the services matches a five star establishment. When we went back to the room and nothing had changed even though they said they would fix the I-Pad. So due to a lack of light we played our iPhone music and lit a small candle. Five minutes later the phone rang and it was the front desk telling us we were smoking in the room and they were going to charge an extra $500 for smoking even though we explained the situation and again it fell on deaf ears. Encore has new super sensor detectors in everyplace in the Hotel. Overall just a bad experience. We left at 3 in the morning to go home to NH so we could watch tv and just get away from the terrible customer service from a supposed five star establishment. Beautiful building but a totally incompetent staff. This is the first negative review my wife and I have ever done. read more

Our stay at the Encore Boston Harbor was outstanding. The hospitality skills of the entire staff were noticeable from check-in through departure -- friendly, polished, and genuinely helpful. One of the biggest surprises was how convenient the harbor boat transportation was to the Long Wharf area. It made getting into Boston easy while still allowing us to return to a much quieter and more spacious property at the end of the day. We did Uber in the mornings and prices can vary for that depending on when you go. We had as low as $8.50 into the $40 range quoted. The biggest differences compared to staying directly in Boston are the huge rooms, the luxury feel, and the convenience of having a full casino and multiple restaurants all on site. After spending the day in the city, it was wonderful to come back to such a spacious, upscale atmosphere. Our room was a king suite with a sofa (appeared to be a sleeper) and an enormous bathroom - double sinks, seated vanity, water closet, soaking tub and large shower. Housekeeping and turn down service were excellent. The rooms are iPad controlled smart rooms. It wasn't the best bedding (mattress, pillows, linens) but was very comfortable. The decor style isn't exactly what I would personally choose -- it definitely leans toward classic casino luxury -- but everything is beautifully maintained and feels high-end. If you don't mind being just outside the city itself and want a casino (the spa menu looks fabulous though I didn't use) experience, this place is honestly an unexpected gem. read more

During our recent visit to Boston, my husband said that he was curious to see the Encore Boston Harbor Hotel. We were there last month, and at the time, their website still listed a free shuttle from the Wellington T station. So, we made plans to go there and have dinner while there, and selected the Seamark restaurant (I have a separate review of it posted). We took the T and rode the Orange Line to Wellington. After we got off the train, we saw a shuttle bus that said it was going to the Encore. We approached it, and the driver said it was only for employees. He had a thick accent, and we thought he said another shuttle would come for visitors. What he was trying to say was that the shuttle was discontinued quite some time ago. We stood outside, wondering what to do next. Then we noticed he was on his phone. When he was off the phone, he told us that he had permission to take us on the employee bus. We thanked him and boarded the bus. When we got there, we were left off at the employee entrance. He told us how to get to the main entrance, which was a bit of a walk. We thanked him for his help. Once in the hotel, we walked around, looked at the shops and restaurants. We decided not to gamble. One thing we had seen when researching transportation options was that (supposedly) the T has two bus routes that leave Sullivan Square and stop at the hotel. We went to the check-in desk to ask where the bus stop was. No one who worked there knew. Finally, one clerk called someone and was told that the buses pick up right outside the hotel. That proved to be incorrect. By sitting outside (there is no seating in the lobby), we never saw a bus come by. After our lovely dinner at Seamark, we went outside and got a cab. We got a friendly driver who was very polite, and he left us off right at the entrance to the Wellington station. Well...the upshot is that we were glad we tried Seamark. Other than that, we don't plan to go to the hotel at all next time we're in town. read more

SPOILER ALERT: We're Not Casino People. After a long and exhausting day helping our daughter going from one furniture store to the next in the Boston area to hook up her duplex, my husband and I needed a place to rest our heads for the night. Encore in Everett- just under 15 minutes from Boston was our winner for a Wednesday to Thursday stay. I can't tell you if Encore is a small-scale casino or otherwise because my husband and I never got into gambling. But, the hotel side of it is grand, colorful and fun all mixed into one. My husband booked the room online and check-in was smooth. The front desk staff handed us our key card and gave us a quick rundown of the hotel's amenities and services. The corridors are wide and open- avoiding that cramped hotel hallway feel. Hubs and I were immediately impressed by our room. It was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a welcoming and luxurious vibe. The crisp white bedding, a spacious bathroom with a separate toilet and vanity, and thoughtfully chosen furniture all made the room feel complete and comfortable. The snacks are nice- though they come at a price. To our surprise, we were upgraded to the 20th floor, which gave us nice views of the Boston Harbor. The room also included a tablet to control lighting and drapes- and Alexa was on hand too. From the attention to detail to the cleanliness and comfort, Encore left a lasting impression. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when visiting our daughter. These folks spared no expense to create a standout experience. read more

I booked this hotel because we were arriving after a 15 hour flight from Japan & arrived in Boston too late to continue on to Martha's Vineyard, plus I wanted a massage in the morning before checking out. American Express offered a good rate, including $150 spa credit! When we arrived, we were taken aback by the "Las Vegas" vibes. However, EVERYONE we interacted with turned out to be friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and great at their job. From Johnny who checked us in, to the wonderful Bellhop who brought our baggage, explained the room & got us ice, to Angel who was our server at breakfast, to the efficient & professional,bartenders at Rare steakhouse, to my wonderful masseuse Siobhan, everyone was outstanding. I've always wanted to stay at a Wynn/Encore property and finally had the opportunity to for a few days. This property is beautiful, clean, and the staff is so friendly. I had a basic room which ended up being not-so-basic. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was so nice, and the room smelled so nice! Interesting enough we bring our 96 yr old grandfather- walk around then go eat lunch in one of their burger restaurants upstairs. After lunch we get 50 feet away from it and he is in distress and can't walk and we run back to the restaurant telling them he needs a wheel chair and what do they say to us ? Go downstairs to the lobby and get one yourself at registration. Try to find the elevator to go back up where he is on the floor and have to take the wheelchair up the escalator because staff will not help you. Do I need to say anything else? read more

A small piece of Vegas in Massachusetts. Notice, I said Massachusetts and not Boston because the property is outside of Boston proper. Overall the hotel is nice, with a really friendly staff. Don't expect the same grandeur of Vegas or Macau, expect a mini version. If you have kids, encore isn't suitable/friendly because there aren't a ton of restaurants or things to do besides gambling. There are some restaurants along the perimeter of the casino, and your kids will not be allowed to enter. Since the property isn't in Boston proper, it's not easy to hit up the other tourist spots without taking an uber or the boat. read more

Casino also seemed more well-lit than others I've been too. Metal detectors at every entrance, which I found unusual, yet comforting at the same time. Casino came across as very high in its style. Only complaint was the 'free' slot play required you to actually bet your own money. I got my $50 slot play in $10 increments as I wagered. At other casinos I've been to free slot play was just that, free. You didn't have to wage anything to get it. read more

Mixed feelings about the hotel. On the one hand the rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. Room service was fast and the meal was acceptable. The big negative is there is no place to sit it the grand lobby - no where. I went to wait for a friend and had to stand. Same as when I was waiting got my Uber. Horrible. Also horrible is that there is no place for casual dining that is not inside the casino. I understand that the main focus of the hotel is to make you gamble, but still not convenient if you are just looking to meet someone for a meal and conversation. read more

This is a very nice property. Reminds of the Vegas Encore. The worst part about the property is the parking garage. They have a couple signs for various club members but no one else. Me along with a couple other cars went right in and right out within a few minutes. We all stopped and asked an employee who admitted the signs are horrendous. I just ended up Valeting the Car. Valet was very nice and they said the same thing about the garage. I like that they have security right at each entrance. I got there a bit early but surprised to find the Rewards center is not open all day. They open at 9. I got my rewards card and was on my way gambling. I liked the selection of games. Good mix of new and old classics on newer platforms. I did ok playing a bunch of games. Lost a little but had a great time otherwise. For people that early casino goers like me, not much happening unlike Vegas. They did have a lot of machines available which was nice and more sections being added. Hotel Manager Jared calls me 10 days after my stay at Encore Boston to let me know after check out there was a stain found inside the closet, resulting in carpet having to be fully replaced and I was being charged $450. I was in my hotel room for a few hours just to sleep, never had any type of drinks in my room, and never even opened the closet door. Also never received a curiosity call when said stain was found, just 10 days after the fact to tell me I was being charged $450. I drove down to Encore to spoke to Jared in person. Jared kept referencing this multiple step process that goes through multiple departments whenever there is room damage, but couldn't provide me any paperwork or ANY time of evidence to back this claim. After 30 mins of back and forth, being told I absolutely caused damage to the carpet, Jared reaching out to the "investigation" dept, he comes back saying "well I look like an idiot." Said documentation didn't have sufficient evidence to support the charge, and he was going to refund me. All is well and sorted in the end, but it took me going down to Encore in person and putting up a fight for the manager to fully review the claim and come to the conclusion that I shouldn't have been charged in the first place. I frequent Encore Casino, and this was my first time staying in the hotel. I will not be giving Encore another penny of my money after today. read more

I have NEVER been a hotel that is more immaculate than this property. Every single crevice you could imagine is vacuumed on a daily basis and every single wall, panel, baseboard, you name it is wiped down at least once a day. The service in this property is also top notch, although it certainly comes with a price. It will not be a cheap stay, but I can assure you that Maintenance issues are not going to be a major concern based on the upkeep mentioned before. Parking is free in their enclosed lot for guest of the hotel and were individuals visiting the casino. My biggest and most serious concern with this property is that all of the restaurants are inside the grounds of the casino and therefore a family is unable to go to a restaurant such as Dunkin' Donuts, or Shake Shack, if they have minors with them because security will not let them enter the casino floor. Not a hotel to stay at with kids under normal circumstances. read more

The place was full of sharks lurking on the floor. The buy in for each table was stupid expensive. Never seen anything like it. Beer and mixed drinks were sky high and the bartender was legit horrible one of the worst I've ever had. If you wanna lose money come visit. This place is rigged.
