They had a huge parking lot with plenty of parking but lots of people out there yelling and kind of aggressive. Inside it was a mix of younger people and older, nice to have a variety. Finally checked out Mixx360 for the first time and I can confidently say it is the best place to experience downtown boston without having to venture into the city. Clean inviting venue, above average bar food (still bar food though), a sound system way better than it should be, a diverse array of talented DJs and events, and they're newly renovated outdoor patio honestly might be the nicest in New England. The bar staff specifically was top notch. I recieved stellar attentive service from Melissa and Desiree all night and would honestly return just for the service experience. 5/5 stars. read more

Terrible service. There were 8+ bartenders behind the bar, yet I never got my drink (still got charged for it??). When the appetizers came we never got utensils or plates. This was a great club and I actually hate clubs! Went for a George Michael impersonator (omg) and stayed for the 80s-90s dance party. The waitstaff and attendants are super on top of things and friendly. We booked a table (maybe everyone gets a table?) so could just sit to listen or boogie down. It was not super packed - there was room to move around and breathe. It was a super diverse too in every sense - age, race, queer, straight, able bodied, wheelchair riding...best crowd I've seen in Boston area. Super cool interior. This is a good place to go for drinks at night because it is open later than most bars in the greater Boston area. The vibe is not as entertaining and energetic as the larger clubs. There is more space to move around and dance. Look online for the music event before going because some nights attract an older crowd. I enjoyed a mai tai bowl with a friend, the bartender noted I need at least 4 people to order this drink, which wasn't a problem because I was in a group, but I only shared with one person. The club formerly known as Rain, and before that the Town Line has yet another name now, as Mixx 360/Luxury Boxx. Very nicely renovated now, with more televisions than any one place would ever need, it's an ideal place to watch our beloved Boston sports teams. They offer up some pretty tasty apps on their new menu such as meatball sliders (my favorite), buffalo chicken rangoons, and Philly cheese steak rolls. But be warned, if you want a seat to watch the big game, get there early. This place is actually a really cool spot to catch a show as well. Very often they have various artists, sometimes big names (like Fergie, Bret Michaels, etc.), sometimes cover bands. Overall, every show I've had the pleasure of attending has been pretty cool. Are the drinks overpriced? Absolutely, but the prices of the tickets to the shows and the food are reasonable enough to make up for it in my opinion. Ample, free parking as well! read more

I was here on a Tuesday night for darts. I've never been to Mixx360 and I was thrilled to have found it. Mid week is a great time to visit. The Sox game 4 was playing everywhere, bar service was quick, the bowling alley had a lot of people but still had avail lanes. The game room and pool tables were all but empty. Perfect time for a couple games of air hockey! It's not cheap, but the food choices good and look delish. read more

Had my daughters sweet 16 birthday party here recently. Julie was my party planner and helped with everything from the moment we booked the party. On the party day she was so helpful and put up decorations, put stuff together for us, and helped so much. All my guests gave us many compliments on the venue and the food. (Definitely get the steak and cheese egg rolls). The DJ was great and the bartender was nice and friendly and made some great drinks ! I highly recommend this place for any party! This was my first time going to mix 360. We got there around 12 and told us we weren't aloud in even though on their website they say they closed at 2. My boyfriend tried to tell them that according to google it said it closed at 2, the bouncer got very aggressive and got in his face and was very rude to all of us. I came due to an invitation from their Facebook site promising a great night at their Country Fridays...well, a great night is the last thing any of the people in my party had! Our party got to the front door where we presented our ID's. I was first and was allowed inside, only to speak to the person who was collecting the cover charge because their cover charge was a few dollars more than the invitation has stated. I found that my friends had been detained by the bouncer and owner, who only identified himself as such after I persisted in speaking with someone in charge. I was speaking with the cover charge counter woman [who was actually very nice] when I heard one of my friends call out to me, I turned around and came back out into the lobby area to find the owner was giving my friends a very difficult time, even at times coming off as a bully. When I asked what the problem was, the owner informed me that my friends did not look exactly like the photos on their licenses. My reply was "Our licenses are legal, but that none of us truly looks like exactly as their driver's license photo?" When he stated that none of my friends would get in, even after only identifying 2 of the 5 people in our party, he then turned to me and said in a bullying manner "You are not going in either!" and then in a loud and threatening voice told us to leave. When I informed him that his behavior was rude and very discriminatory [these were our government issued legal driver's licenses, and again, almost no one looks like their license, especially after 4 years. A properly trained doorman is trained to check eyes and face structure for proper ID of any person, male or female...especially on occasions such as their Halloween parties], he then turned loud and in a threatening manner demanded that we leave, which we did. It is one thing to be cautious, but it is another thing all together to discriminate against and bully people... The next day, some of our mutual friends who were expecting us at this club asked me where we were that night, and I informed them of the events of the evening. A total fun evening ruined because of one manager and his discriminatory attitude! Let's just say that I have taken action against the establishment, where the owner claims to have the incident "on video tape", yet at every opportunity has yet to bring said video to light, citing excuse after excuse! This only serves to show the true colors of this establishment, and I will not recommend it to anyone EVER! There are much nicer, more classier establishments within minutes of this place that I highly recommend you give your business to instead. At least they will appreciate it and they will certainly work hard to earn your $$$ !!! read more

I've been to Rain many (maybe to many) times and on any given night it can be a 1 star or 5 star experience. Pros: -Great shows and theme nights! They have some of the best older acts and the ticket prices are always reasonable. I just went to see the 80s/90s King of Freestyle Stevie B. (I've been to see him a few times). They recently had SWV, and upcoming shows with Bret Michael and Bell Biv Devoe. -Nice setup and decor. Their is tons of seating and 3 different bars nicely spread out across the place. The decor overall feels a little upscale (it's nice!) -Free Parking -Outdoor smoking area that is covered and heated, and you can bring your drinks. -Woman walking around selling pizza by the slice. I've only seen her earlier in the night (maybe I'm to drunk to notice later). Some people laugh at it, but you never know when you can use a slice :) Cons: -Drink are priced a little to high, especially when you get a bartender with a light pour -The employees can be assholes sometimes. I was dancing next to a girl that dropped and broke a glass. She just moved away, so I told one of the big burly bouncers (thinking that, oh I don't know, they might want to clean it up before someone falls and hurts themselves). His response was "what do you want me to do about it, you shouldn't have dropped your cup". I didn't drop shit, I was just being nice, but whatever -Bathrooms are to small and almost always running low on soap There is definitely a good amount of older people, but I love it. I've been here twice and really enjoyed the experience. Here's what Rain has going for it... 1.The cover charge is cheap. The first time I went, I paid about $10 and the second time I paid 5. If I'd been a girl, my second visit would have been free. That's a deal. 2. Parking lot. Free. Enough said. 3. The music is great. On my first visit, the soundtrack of the evening was like the soundtrack of my life. It was like the DJ (forget who) was finely in tune with all my favorite songs, starting with Jr. High and ending in the present. On my second visit, Jim (gay Jim from KISS 108) played more stuff I love and I really liked about 90% of the music 4. Bar-good stuff 5. The crowd- No one seems terribly judgmental or pretentious. I like that. I can just go dance with my friends and have a good time. All in all, an excellent venue for busting a move, just a bit north of Boston. read more

Very recently we had my son's high school graduation party on a Sunday afternoon in the club area.Upon arrival were greeted by a very friendly & accommodating staff member,the room was set up with black& white table cloths she helped us set up balloons& supplies us with other decorations,she set us up with an ice cream fountain & all the fixings to make sundaes and previously set us up with DJ Capo who was extremely affordable and provided great entertainment. When our guests arrived we had a large fruit & cheese tray ,pizza,chicken fingers and steak & cheese rolls that were delicious and replenished as needed.Shortly thereafter the main course an extensive Buffett, the food was fresh hot and delicious and made on the premises. I just want to express my thanks to Julie and all of the staff at Mix 360 for making this a most joyous and memorable occasion , that friends and family are still commenting on the great time they had. Picture every "North Shore" stereotype, young and old, in a large, tastefully decorated warehouse with alcohol and Billy Costa. What two words come to mind? People watching. Which happens to be one of my favorite things to do. That and the free parking are the two things going for this place. Decent place for dancing, not super packed , great prices, no cover and a smoking lounge out behind the dance floor was perfect. We danced like crazy, had a great time, there were a few groups of Rachet Fem's that were shouting ' you're only 25 once' and then falling down on the floor. The DJ was on autoplay and some great tunes were cut out of too short. In addition some drizzy ditz stepped on my dates toes, whilst her wearing a sandal, that was ugly. I was told that it is a great dive to go to when you live in Malden, FIrst off there was not a single person in the bar (we arrived at 11:15 on a friday) paid $6 .. when i found out if you know the people at the door you can get in for free. Got some overly priced drinks at the bar $8 for 12 oz of pretty much just soda no liquor i had to ask the girl 3 times to put more in... the only reason why I gave this place 2 stars is they had a nice atmosphere if more people were there and there was this crazy woman dancing by herself on the dance floor and I was told she comes every friday .. the crazy woman alone would be why I would every pay $6 again otherwise ill stick with going anywhere else read more

Been long time since I've been here !! When we first arrived we notice right away that they had remodeled which gave the place a fresh new look , it was same 10 dollar cover charge , and it was eighty's night so music was awesome fun to dance to !!! Friendly wait staff came and filled are drinks as needed , pizza was also available the wait staff walked around with trays as , to satisfy your munchies !! Also jello shots if so desired were also available !! It was also brought to our attention they have country night and many other themes to keep you coming back , I was sold I would definitely be coming for another visit great nite with friends even ran into old friends and that was awesome !!! I went here for a charity event this week. Its tucked away in the back of a bowling alley. The space itself is gorgeous. Big club, great lighting, fun atmosphere, clean. The bartenders were polite, gracious and helpful. The reason im giving this place 5 stars is because they offered up the space free of charge for the fundraiser, for a friend who has cancer. They gave us bottomless wings and pizza free of charge, and the food was delicious. I cant say enough about this place. I dont know how its run during normal business hours but obviously the owners have huge hearts and I can only imagine that its a fun club to check out. read more

One of my favorite night clubs! It is awesome how the dance floor lights up different colors. And they have a separate room where you can smoke. All of the employees here as really friendly as soon as I step into the club. The bouncer is very sweet and always chews gum lmao. The bartenders are very kind and friendly. The only con is that they really get you with the cover charge. But any place can be expensive. Overall I love mixx and I will continue to come here when I get the chance. read more

I went there a couple of times for country night. I thought it was mediocre at best on my first visit.. but I decided to try it again since I live so close to it. This place is mostly a "click" type crowd. Many of the regulars know each other.. but if you're not part of that regular crowd.. it's not very welcoming. On both nights that I attended.. the bands were kind of crappy. I've definitely seen much better bands at other venues around new england. The bartenders were kind of rude. And overall, I felt like I was in a shady, drug infested, dirty, dive bar. Next time I'm in the mood for some good country music.. I'll definitely look elsewhere. About as good as a Nightclub attached to a bowling ally can be.... OK, you have to take Rain for what it is. Do not be fooled by Billy Kosta being there from KISS 108 or the girls they have dancing on boxes...people this is a night club attached to bowling ally. They seemed to have forgotten this little fact as they hit for ten bucks for a Jager and Red Bull. But when your on the North Shore and you don't really feel like going to Boston for the night, this is your alternative ( think too lazy to go out to eat so you have Domino's deliver). All in all though it isn't a bad time. It has some grade A people watching (we met a woman in her late 30's with what only could be classified as White Snake hair) and the music isn't bad. So if your on the North Shore and feeling lazy check it out cause hey even if the crowd sucks that night you can just step right into a bowling Lane and the night magically gets better. read more

Went there this past Friday when it was a mix of top 40. The crowd was ok. I had a bartender who was snot bag and had her before when I was living near by this club. Minus her and the over but average Nowdays to bowl in there connected bowling lands it's a solid 3. I would say 4 without that bad experience with that bartender. read more

Rain was great several years ago.. but lately its an over-promoted and over-hyped dump with bad entertainment. Some of the acts I have seen are just "bad". Tech problems and tone deaf singers not aware that guests are leaving the club from constant painful feedback whine. They need to rebuild a shattered image of trying to make a quick buck and re-start the oldies nights, the karaoke nights, dance music nights and get rid of all the promotions. Nobody cares who the DJ is. When cheap promoters change up the regularly scheduled entertainment - customers like myself won't be back. read more

If I could give less than a star I would. The last time i came to Mixx360 I bought an $8 drink and tipped $2 on my car. The staff decided to turn that into a $22.00 tip. When I called I was told the "money guy" (seriously, that's the term they used) wasn't in to refund my card. So I called my bank to report the fraudulent charges. Then suddenly I was receiving phone calls to come by and they would give me money from the register (not refund my card) so long as I didn't report it. My bank took care of everything. They are the shadiest place I've ever been to. read more
