Great venue and very welcoming. Went for late lunch early dinner and the restaurant was quiet which was a plus. Chef was very animated and made the experience worthwhile. Recommended! read more

This was a nice addition to uptown ! Ample free parking and a nice ambiance! The service was well attentive and the show was entertaining! The food was good ( is there such a thing as outstanding hibachi?!) I ordered the shrimp and they were jumbo and juicy! The rice was shelly and the vegetables were crispy tender not limp and soggy. The chef made sure to reiterate everyone's order to perfection and was mindful and accommodating of my lobster allergy, and cooked the lobster last. I ordered the shrimp hibachi for myself with a Jack and coke and the children's chicken hibachi for my daughter. The dinner cost roughly $60 with the tip included. This was my daughter's first experience with a hibachi and it was great for her! She chatted about her Friday night dinner to all she conversed with. I would definitely return, good food, ambiance and entertainment! read more

Good experience , Excellent decor and nice food . The chefs are quite friendly and very amusing to watch .

This is such a late review, but I want to show my wonderful experience at Flame! My boyfriend and I had reservations for 7pm on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, there was a massive delay on the 1 train and I missed my reservation. Luckily, my boyfriend was there waiting and he informed the hostess of my train issue. They were understanding and were able to accommodate us for a later hibachi time. Meanwhile, we had drinks at the bar and the bartender was friendly and treating us really well! When we got seated, our cook was pleasant, funny, and made our experience enjoyable! The prices are reasonable and the drinks are good. The staff made it an enjoyable Valentine's Day and we can't wait to back once things normalizes after the viral pandemic. read more

flame is a pretty good hibachi spot. the atmosphere is a1 which was unexpected. the chef, didnt catch his name, knows how to cook and was very friendly. however, he didnt play with us that much. he didnt throw food into our mouths or squirt water at us like other hibachi chefs. thats ok tho bc we werent really bringing the energy either. so yea, flame hibachi is a 4.5/5. side note: they play good music here. some songs i heard were blank space by taylor swift and levitating by dua lipa read more

My lady and I returned for another diner. And the whole staff were exceptional. Received personal attention from bar attendant, wait staff and especially the cook. The cook serenaded us and went above and beyond. Food was delicious and the the entertainment was great. The cook remembered who we are and how we liked our food. We don't expect perfection but the attempt is enough for us. read more

I have ordered hibachi from Flame multiple times. This time I ordered $50 worth of food and it was disgusting. Meat was tasteless shrimp pad Thai was disgusting . I literally threw it in the garbage. It's a shame because when they opened up the food was amazing ! Maybe they have a new chef . read more

I've had more excitement cooking my own meals at home... hungover...., with the flu. Food was tasty, chef was ... apathetic, bored, completely checked out ? Whatever they made a vague effort at the end with a firework and some ice cream but over all felt like fast food and the couldn't get us our fast enough- go to a real restaurant welcome you're welcome and can enjoy your experience. Disappointed was hoping for a fun local experience. read more

We had an excellent time at Flame. We arrived a bit early and had drinks at the bar which were great. We were promptly seated and the waitress and chef arrived shortly. The chef was funny and entertaining it was just a bit hard to hear him because the hibachi tables are close together. Fortunately we sat with a great group of strangers and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The food was delicious and the portions were large. I have a shellfish allergy and my food was prepared in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. The actual restaurant is bright, the decor is beautiful and everything was spotless including the restrooms! We will definitely be visiting again! read more

I ate there pre-Covid and it was great! However, today I ordered hibachi steak and shrimp for mom's birthday and instead received steak and TWO shrimps and FIVE scallops! No where in my order did I want scallops. And as I was chewing the scallops, it still had remnants of sand. They didn't properly clean them before cooking it. Keep in mind that we're in a pandemic and it's imperative that your food are sub-par, so that you continue to have patrons. Advice - CLEAN the scallops and to any patron who orders food for pick-up, inspect your food before leaving the restaurant. Nonetheless, steak and rice was DELISH, but I will not be going there for a LONG time. read more

I went there tonight with 2 friends and it was great! The place looks awesome and we sat in less than 10 minutes (we were early to our reservation). I've been to other hibachi places and yeah the show is pretty much the same but it is still entertaining. The food was fresh. We ate lobster tails, shrimp, and steak and everything was delicious. The drinks are amazing! My favorite was the Papi chulo and lingerie! We will definitely go back! read more

Me and my family went here this evening as a large party of 12. We were seated quickly as we made reservations and the staff were friendly and so wonderful. The service was great and the hibachi cooks were excellent. They were attentive and entertaining. They sang happy birthday (Hey its your birthday) and it was fabulous. I cannot recommend this place more. Oh and the food was great also. I had the Sirloin and Shrimp and it was cooked to perfection! I also had an Emerald City drink and it was delicious as well. I Highly recommend this place. read more

Great spot, food is delicious but a bit pricey. Spent about $150 for one appetizer and two entries and three drinks. The portions are adequate and the staff is great. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back here again! read more

Beyond amazing! Food was delivered hot and taste just as good as if I was in the restaurant! Everything was perfect!

We were underwhelmed with the chef's show and at one point halfway through he just gave up and stopped doing any type of show and instead just cooked the food. When my 6 year old daughter asked him to do the part where he tosses the zucchini into your mouth he separated a portion of the egg that was cooking on the grill. He then attempted to toss the hot egg into her mouth at which point we loudly objected and he finally got out the raw zucchini. The portion sizes were tiny compared to our previous visits- the vegetable for 4 people were more appropriate for 2. I asked for double noodles instead of rice and noodles and was given a significantly smaller amount that my family dining with me. To end the night the food was not seasoned well. The little amount of noodles I did get were mushy and tasteless and I needed to use an excessive amount of "yummy sauce". Our waitress was good and attentive, however the hibachi part of our experience was significantly underwhelming and this was not a cheap dinner- $125 after tip for 4 people. If this was our 1st time dining here, I would not return. read more

Was waiting for them to open for so long, im glad they finally did. Staff was very attentive, food was pretty good, definitely coming back!

Great experience. Chef was fun and friendly! Food was delicious but a tad saltier than i prefer my food. Also pretty heavy on the garlic. Definitely will be back!! read more

I have to take the time give a huge shout out to this amazing restaurant! I visited for the first time about 5 months ago. Ever since I have been back 3 times, the management here sure know how to treat their guest. Every time you visit and want to have an unforgettable time request Ali as your chef, he loves what he does and always makes sure you have a great time for dinner. His jokes, his performance , his energy is unlike anything you have ever seen. I would give this place 20 stars if I could. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Normally the food is great here. But I just ordered hibachi style fried rice and it was flavorless and mushy.

We celebrated a birthday for 2 grandparents and 16 family members. The service was amazing, everyone received personal attention, the Hibachi chefs were interacting and fun, the food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere cozy and charming. Highly recommended. read more

Amazing atmosphere. The energy was great, great place to spend time with family and friends. Food was great, had the steak and shrimp ( cooked to perfection). Will definitely go again. read more

We walked in without reservation and we were accommodated which is the only reason why I even gave 1 star. The table where we were seated I literally had to climb over a patron whom was already seated at the corner of hibachi table we were directed to. So the patrons whom were already seated were inconvenienced because we now made them feel crowded at their formerly comfortable seats. When my husband attempted to have us seated at the bar the wait staff that attended him said we could but that the way were seated "everyone has to sit that way" making us feel like we had no choice but to be at a crowded table. Well that was enough for us to leave and never return. read more

Great food, great service and best entertainment from Chef Didi! By far the funniest and very attentive chef..

Conveniently located with a parking lot, great customer service, and food was delicious.

I had an wonderful experience at Flame Riverdale. The host Letha was amazing and my server/bartender Darius was phenomenal. The food was great!!! I would definitely come back a million times. I ordered the shrimp and scallop combination hibachi and my favorite drink was the lemon drop. I heard they deliver through Grub Hub. Place your orders folks you won't be disappointed!!! read more

I have to say unfortunately I was very disappointed with this place. Although the table service was good the food was mediocre. Let's just say I've had better fried rice at the local Chinese restaurant. This is the 2nd time I've been to an Hibachi restaurant and the 1st time was amazing but this time left a lot to be desired. The chef was hardly entertaining, although he tried to crack a few jokes at the beginning and had of course excellent utensil skills, he became extremely quiet and boring. The food was overly greasy and smelt and tasted like a plate of oil. I was also disappointed by the "Happy Hour" promotion as it did not include all drinks and specialty cocktails were not part of happy hour. Not a good selling point. Happy hour should include all drinks. I also didn't like the automatic 18% gratuity that is added to a check for a party of 2 or more. I don't like to feel forced to give a tip or a certain amount of tip. The $3 glasses of soda were also filled to the brim with ice. The place is beautifully decked out but does not match the quality of food and entertainment. Granted it is a weeknight and was relatively early. This place took so long to open and unfortunately I don't think it will thrive if they don't step up their game. Unfortunately it was the first and last time I'll go there. read more
