I frequent the Woodbury Town Center for almost daily, but only discovered this place in the last several months or so. It's kind of hidden from the path that I take, so this probably explains why I'd never paid attention before. However, I was kind of getting tired of the same old salads and sandwiches next door and decided I needed something else relatively healthy. My friend happened to suggest this place just the other day so I thought I'd give it a try. Very simple and casual little fast food place...nothing fancy at all...place your order and pay at the counter..... sit and wait for your food.....go get it at the counter when called. Or in my case, I've just been coming here to order take away. It's pretty simple....choose a size.....then a protein on a base, like rice (white or brown), or veggies, or salad, etc. I like this concept as I can eat healthy by just ordering a skinless charbroiled protein on blanched veggies....no rice (white or brown). It's simple, it's fast.....no heavy sauces, not oily, and it actually tastes pretty yummy. You can also order additional protein for an extra charge. I've been eating the same thing every time...the first time just a regular order, and the second time adding more chicken, but I find the regular order is just right for me. There was one time I asked for more veggies and offered to pay extra for it, but was told that there was no extra charge! Nice! They intentionally keep the marinade light in flavor so that you can add spiciness with the chilli sauces of various heats, from light to hot to hot hot to very hot! Depending on who attends to you at the order/cashier counter, they can be either somewhat nice and friendly or very nice and friendly. But I'm not there for great service so just order my food, pay for it, watch it get bagged, and I'm out the door......no fuss, no hassle, no stress. read more

Filthy and inconsiderate. First thing I did was head to the restroom with my 4-year-old son who needed to use the facilities. As soon as we opened the restroom door, he immediately said, "Eew!" It is so smelly and filthy with urine all over the floor and toilet even the walls and ceiling practically that he decided he would hold it until after we get home. Then while we were waiting for our food, we realized the only 4-top table not in the blazing sunlight was completely covered edge to edge with sticky sauce and other curious substances. I started soaking some napkins with water in the soda fountain and scrubbing to get the tables clean. Meanwhile, I hear the lazy counter girl who's been standing there in an empty storefront doing nothing start calling out to me that my food is ready. But I'm busy scrubbing her tables while she watches... and continues calling out to me that my food is ready. I have to go back for more napkins and as I pass the counter she raises her voice to yell at me that my food is ready. Boy, I had it. Not only was I doing her job of scrubbing the tables, but she has the nerve to just stand there doing nothing but watching me and yelling at me that my food is ready? I snapped back that I knew the food was ready but I was still busy scrubbing her tables trying to get them clean. On top of that, there are flies all over us. And someone else just went to the bathroom or something as I was typing this, and now the whole place stinks with a foul odor. We won't be back. I suggest you never walk through the door of this filthy, disgusting, rude horror show. read more

As a fast food, quick bite, this place is ok. I like the beef bowl, sometimes with veggies. They also have chicken and you can get brown rice instead of white rice. The beef is sometimes dry, but I guess that's because it's sitting there - that's why it's so fast. First a quick meal, it works. This parking lot gets crazy around 5-6 so keep your eyes open, especially if you go by the Trader Joe's side. Plenty of spots by Flame Broiler though. read more

They are moving slowly now, but the food is consistently good tasting and the service is fast. I had the chicken and beef combo plate. The sauce is what is important, so don't forget to request it before you leave. Take out only today, so you can't get your own sauce yet. Make sure you go before the employees want to leave. Not before the posted hours say they close. If the store hours posted say you close at 9pm on a Monday night and the door is locked prior to that time, that is so ridiculous. When I pulled on the locked door at 8:54pm and both male employees indicate that your business closes 5 minutes before what the posted hours state, of which I'm confident the store was closed at least 10 minutes prior, is really unbelievable. Why not close at 8:30pm and let your customers know you don't want their future business. In big writing as to take the guesswork out of it. I'm still outside the store of which has now been completely dark since 9pm which indicates that your employees care more about leaving as they do service. Ridiculous! I've been coming to this spot for 2 years on my lunch break and on the weekends. Sometimes 3-4 times a week. I forgot to bring in my card to get stamped, one time so I asked for a new card and got it stamped. A few days later I went in and said, can you just add this one stamp to my other card, please. They said no we can't do this at this store so I asked for the manager. The owner came out and insisted this is his store and this is the way they do things. Although professional about it, he came across a bit snappy. Over a stamp? Although they have every right to say no, I have a right to write this, it's mind blowing to me that a place I spend close to $20 dollars a day and I'd say close to $700-$1,000 a year could simply tell you nope not stamping the card because its not protocol, when both the owner and the grumpy lady that works at the front both see me in their all the time. This Flame Broiler is in a nice area, but it is a disappointment. Upon walking in, theres flys buzzing around. Not one or two, like a few just flying around the dining area. The girl that took our order was nice, but she did get 2 of our bowls wrong, we asked for no onions and there was onions. Not a deal breaker, just makes it more work for us to have to pick them out. The magic sauce station was sticky. The pump was gross and sticky. The counter area wasn't very clean either. I've been to a few Flame Broilers and this one is in the worst shape, even though its in a nicer area. The one in Downtown LA is even in better shape than this. The magic sauce seemed to be watered down. I normally use 1 container and I had to use 2. This place needs help... read more

I wasn't terribly impressed after my first visit; I didn't expect the interior to be THAT casual, and found the food rather unexciting and bland. Knowing what to expect the second time around, I stuck with the mini chicken bowl (should've gone with the regular bowl for a few cents more!). I agreed to return, on the request of my husband. This time, I enjoyed the aroma -- and taste -- of the flame broiled chicken! It satisfied my craving for something clean and savory. Next time, I'll try the Chicken Veggie Bowl! I was really hungry so I decided to check out this place. To my surprise, I really liked it. They have some great healthy options. I got the chicken vegetable with brown rice. It was fast, delicious, good, and healthy. You can't beat that. They also have a good magic sauce, but don't drench it. The sugar in that sauce will crank up that calorie count. I usually like coming here for lunch since it is close to my work, but last week I experienced terrible customer service. The manager was extremely rude when I asked her about my order. I also saw none of the staff wearing gloves and handling raw chicken and then giving me my order. In no moment did I see anybody washing their hands. Then I saw an employee coughing all over the place and with no mask on. After this terrible experience, I will no longer be coming here for lunch. read more
