Flame broiler is one of my all time favorite places to eat. Food is great and customer sevice is always excellent. But yesterday i came in to your location after a few weeks of not stopping by an the cashier ( an older white man) made me feel really uncomfortable. He was touching his facial hair before he took my order and i got pretty grossed out because i knew he was going to handle my food. What really pissed me off was that he starred at my card for to long instead of asking for my name. Other cashiers dont ever do this. Therefore i will have to give you only one star and possible not coming back. read more

The last 5 times I have gone here the cashier has been super slow, spaced out like she has been smoking all day. my food sits up their forever. The last time they called me for my order and she said she gave it to some else. She needs to be fried, but I think she is related to the franchise owners. read more

Ordered food over the phone, big mistake, they have people that work there that speak broken English at best and apparently can't understand English either. Ordered 3 chicken veggie bowls with brown rice, not a single one came with rice. I've been to a lot of flame broilers and never have I gotten a bowl without rice, I don't even think that's a menu item. Never going to this place again and I'd advise hiring some people who can at least speak and understand English. read more

I went to get lunch from them today. The employee greeted me as soon as i walked in. They were all very friendly and fast. I got my food in 5 minutes from the point i walked in the door. It was warm and delicious and cheaper than the bowls at whole foods. read more

I come here quite often and they keep the same level of service: Chicken is way over cooked into tiny pieces, tables and chairs aren't clean, waiting takes too long (although this has been improved over time) and the cashiers aren't slimy at all. The only ones who smiles or looks happy are the owners. Don't burn your chicken, clean the tables! and get rid of that chubby Asian boy who's performance is nothing but customer service. This location is very convenient to where we live and we come here for a quick fix meal. The smell when you get in the restaurant is always great! We typically get the half & half, which is a great option. Food usually comes out pretty quick after we order (seems that most of the food is precooked and reheated on the grill), but the taste is still great. Cleanliness of the restaurant is meh... but not gross enough to make you leave. Their "special sauce" is just teriyaki sauce, however, i must admit that it compliments their food well. Portion sizes on the bowls are good and we are usually full when we're done. Service is alright, not always the friendliest bunch, but better than some. We will likely be back when we need another cheap, quick meal at 8:30pm =P read more

While the taste of grilled Flame Broiler chicken is spot on at this location, the serving portions are skimpy. A bowl of rice with chicken on top is how I'd describe it. Now the bowl is bigger and they tout it "as much" as in the old bowl, we just get more rice, definitely less chicken. read more

Normally I love this flame broiler and never once had an issue but today I went and ordered what I always order angus beef with veggies no rice and I got charged extra for no rice! I told the girl I didn't want extra meat or veggies just don't add the rice and she informed me they "now charge" for just veggies and meat. What I received was a chicken bowl with a small amount of chicken, about 8 pieces of veggies and about a pound of cabbage. Felt like I ordered a huge bowl of cabbage. Will not return! read more

Glad there is a flame broiler around, there is one other one in Lake Forest but this one is MUCH cleaner & staff is friendlier. Not sure about negative reviews but people here were so nice I made a point to make a post on Yelp and was surprised to see the other reviews. Do not come here till the owner fixes the grill. The other day I went there and you can see their grill is just covered in charcoal black debris from all the food. The heat is just brining it all and it smells like a burnt steak when you walk In. I came back and actually got food and the entire bowl tasted like black burnt crumbs, just absolutely horrible, and this stuff causes cancer. I had my bowl about an hour ago and I keep burping burnt nasty tasting food. You need to clean that grill properly or get a new one, I've had this place before about 5 months ago and it was never like this. read more

The chicken is always black and tastes funny. It seems their grill is really dirty and needs cleaning more often. The vegetables are not always fresh, some times they are wilted and taste bad. Haven't been here in a few months do to the bad experiences. Will be willing to give it another shot in a few months to see if things change. read more

Love flame broiler! First time eating at this one. The dont fill the bowl up all the way with rice or meat. The beef taste like it sat marinating too long, then cooked (almost burnt taste) hours ago. I've been coming to this location since they opened. It's a great location right next to the gym. Reza and the rest of the staff are always super friendly and polite with me. Never had a problem with any of them. Service is quick also, and when I say quick, I mean there have been times where my chicken bowl is ready and handed to me before I've even finished ordering. That's fast. Food is the same great bowls and plates you'll find at other Flame Broiler's. It is still the best Flame Broiler I've ever been to. read more
