We were recommended this company through our insurance company. We have a home protection plan that covers all of our appliances and they told me to pay one deductible. This guy shows up and says the problem is not something covered by insurance. He also tells me that because there is two AC units having problems that he has to collect 2 deductibles. The insurance company was adamant that I only had to pay one deductible. I told him this and he repetitively told me it's two separate deductible. We paid him just because I wasn't there and my wife was and I didn't feel like arguing with somebody over the phone after a long day of work. He then tells me he can do it on the side and not through the insurance company because they won't cover it. He tries to sell me on the service being a lot of work and 5 hours of labor and quoted me at $800. I told him that sounded very expensive and he then agreed to "$600 cash but there won't be a receipt and this is as cheap as I can do it." He was suppose to show up the next day but totally flakes without as much as a call or text. I had to reach out to him and he asked to reschedule for 3 days later. He shows up for the next appointment and I was gone at work so my wife let him in to get to work. He showed up pulled some things out, took them out front and pressure washed them, and then put them back and was in and out in two hours. Wow! 2 hours for a 5 hour job quote. I ask him to send me the info on what he did that day and I never heard back from him. Then I called him in the evening of the day he did his "repairs" to talk to him and he acted like he didn't know who was calling. Mind you there's a long text thread before this call and the second time I called him (days before) he knew exactly who I was, but not this third time after he completes my job he doesn't know who's calling? Funny. So I then ask him about charging me twice for my deductible after I confirmed with the insurance company that he shouldn't have. Didn't really have an excuse for that one so I don't know what to think. Will he give me my money back? No of course not. So my next question to him was "What is your hourly rate?" He tells me $160 per hour. (Which is crazy by the way for AC tech) and then he tells me that is his rate for him and another guy per hour. So I ask him to use his math and how much should 2 hours cost? Simple math, $320 right? Nope. He then tells me he has a trip charge of $120. Funny because he had already come out and got paid $250 the first time for telling us what was wrong. So regardless, let's add up his BS charges, and you come up with $440. I told him I wouldn't be upset if he just charged me that, even though I think that is too high. He got offended and started telling me about how he had our conversation recorded, and he can take me to court, and I agreed to his quote and he doesn't need my money. But yet he won't return the money that was overpaid? Interesting. This guy is a smooth talking snake in the grass. Beware. He has an excuse for everything and will talk in circles that make no sense and you get nowhere with his BS that he makes up on the fly as you speak to him. As of now, he has told me three different times that he doesn't need my money and how well off he is, but hasn't offered to return what he shouldn't have charged me. This guy shouldn't be working for insurance companies, that's for sure. He also sold me on how well he takes care of his customers and cleans up when he's done. He left footprints though out the entire hallway, down the stairs and out the front door. Leaves and dust and dirt all over the floor too. My wife ended up cleaning up all of him and his helpers mess. Highly don't suggest you let this man in your house. He was also talking to my wife while he was here about his trips to Europe, and his properties that he owns, basically just trying to let her know that he has plenty of money I guess? Whatever or wherever he was going with that situation is about as unprofessional as you can get. You should see his texts too, it is really hard to decipher what he is trying to say, because the spelling is so awful. I don't want to screen shot his conversations, it would probably be pretty embarrassing. Stay away and go another way when you need your AC or Heater fixed. read more
