Thad (tom) is amazing! I've never had such a great pedicure and such a perfect manicure! He takes his time to make sure everything is perfect! Definitely recommend! And Jenny is amazing as well I've been coming to this place for years. Stopped for a while but came today and I'm super happy! read more

Nini is really great with gel nails! Mine lasted more than two weeks! So impressed being that I wash my hair every other day and no lifting!

I have been looking for a good nail salon ever since my nail tech left to another state. I stumbled upon five star nails on yelp and read the reviews and saw from pictures Jenny was good with acrylics.I finally was able to get an appointment with her. I have to say she is amazing, not only does she do good nails but she's very welcoming, is social and makes you feel comfortable. I honestly never had such a great experience at a nail salon. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I love this salon. Clean and cozy. Lots of Spanish speaking technicians, if that's important to you. I try to go for a gel mani/pedi every 3 weeks and its affordable and GOOD. I usually go with Elda or Jenny. Everyone is really nice and they make you feel at home. (I'm super picky with nail salons, so this review is legit) read more

I came in, on valentines day without any appointment for a gel overlay with gel polish and a gel pedicure! Although my manicurist was talking on the phone from time to time she did a fabulous job. I also got to have a glass of wine while getting my pedicure ! I'll definitely come back soon! Her name was Johana I believe. read more

Five Star Nail - 3 days after my gel overlay with gel polish! Ps. I have very short nails ! - Nail Salons Near Me - Miami, Florida

I am SO disappointed with my experience here; I walked out without a paint job. I called to reserve an appointment for a mani/pedi, and no issues there. I showed the nail tech, I believe Sophie, the negative space design I wanted and she told me she doesn't do designs, but she'd find another person to do it (with the assumption that she could simply paint my entire nail white first). Okay, fine with me. So after my gal cleans up my finger nails she calls over the "design tech." Right off the bat the girl taking over seems over it. She dismisses the first gal when she asks, "I can first paint the nails all white, right?" with an annoyed, "No." That's when I started to feel uncomfortable. The "design tech" pulled out the nail art polish (skinny brush) and begrudgingly stroked my nails extremely nonchalantly and quickly, leaving a clumpy, unclean surface. I don't know why she was so angry to paint my nails. At this point, I had to tell her to please erase what she did because it was hideous and because I was feeling really uncomfortable with her silent aggression. Once she removed her two minute job, she stormed off. I quickly checked out with the first tech, and GTFO. I should've requested Jenny. She seems to be highly rated. read more

Been coming here for years and will only do my nails with Lisa. She's a fantastic person. Always willing to accommodate to my crazy schedule. Furthermore, I've never had anyone who's do detailed and professional. If you can always call ahead and make an appointment even though they except walk-ins. This salon is very busy with lots of loyal clientele. They offer a variety of nail options like gel and acrylics plus they do waxing. Definitely not lacking in the nail color department as they carry every color under the sun. read more

I made an appointment which was confirmed the day before and when I arrived my tech had not gone to work and there was no one to do my nails. I left early from work to get my nails done because I was traveling the day after. Missed work and no service, horrible. read more

I go almost every week! I am actually very picky when it comes to my nails, and Jenny (the owner) is the one who always does my nails. She works with excellence and is such a sweetheart. I've recommended several people here, and everyone has left very happy! read more

I have been coming to Five Star for about a year now.. weekdays are the best time to come .. .if you do not want to have to wait for service. Lisa (nail tech) is my favorite. The quality of her work and hand/feet massages I have to say are the best there. It is a relaxed environment and the owners do their best to make you happy. for $30.00 for a mani/pedi I think its a great deal and it is as good as some expensive nail spas. read more

So after the second time of my nail tech bailing out on my appointment and not calling me to tell me before I waste my drive to her, I decided to ck this place out before my hair appointment one day. They scheduled me with Lisa. She's AMAZING! She was so gentle and nice with my pedicure. She always put me to sleep lol. I'm not sure how she is with other services besides pedicures but if you need a nice good one, go to Lisa. read more

The wait time is never long here especially if you just need a pedi. Their work is up to par. I've had different techs do different services on me and they all left me satisfied. I have my favorite but I rather keep her to myself!! :P The staff is awesome. It feels like you're visiting family- they're all very friendly. The receptionist is professional and helpful and the owners here are very attentive and dedicated to keeping the client happy and comfortable. They have coffee, water, and wine available and usually have donuts set out for the customers. The receptionist often goes around and offers to bring any of those things to you. It's a great salon with great people so you're bound to have a great experience. I recommend it. read more

1st time visitor and I was able to make a last minute appointment today (Friday of Memorial Day weekend) only a few hours after I called in. I was a few minutes early to my appointment time and I was seen right away. They took off my old gel polish free of charge and did a pretty great job on the new gel mani. Lisa took her time and was extremely meticulous with the manicure.... I will definitely be back in a few weeks to get a mani and a pedi. I recommend it! read more

Highly recommended. They truly care about your nails, very honest, professional and quality work. I came here thinking about getting acrylic nails, but the nail technician suggested gel instead since my nails were already a great shape and long. I loved the results!!! I only wish the doors would be left open, that way the nail polish smell would be a bit less intense read more

If I can give this place zero starts I would. I did my nails before the hurricane and them closing the store. The day after my gel polish chips off the my gel acrylics. Only TWO nails. I paid 75$ for a new set with gel polish and pedicure. Now that I get power I call them and ask if there is anything they can do to fix these two nails for me and they told me they will be charging me 15$ to fix it. Like seriously couldn't take into consideration everything with the hurricane and want to make a buck out of people even then. Smh I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt even when seeing all their reviews. But all the pictures shared with crappy paint jobs on manicures are so true. Never going or recommending this place to no one. read more

I love coming here! They do a great job and do it quickly. Prices are reasonable, place is clean, huge selection of colors. Everyone is very nice and the place has a relaxing vibe. Won't go anywhere else! read more

I love this place... Ruthie, Keyla and Annilady are all great manicurist... You should make an appointment due to many frequent flyers. You may not be able to get your nails done with one of them if you do not have an appointment. The salon is very clean and everyone is really nice. I have been coming here for over a year now and I have never had a problem. The only problem is they do not have a wide selection with OPI Gel nail polish. Other than that the place still deserves 5 stars. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went on a Thursday as a walk in with my mom, she did regular polish and I did gel. The girl who did my nails was really nice but she did cut me a lot. First time at this spot and it was actually I good experience. I didn't have an appointment as I was a walk in, and even then was helped instantly. The lady who did my nails did a great job and I truly was pleased. While getting my nails done I watched friends which allowed time to go a lot quicker. Everyone was pleasant and I felt like I've been going there for a while. My mother also did her nails and she really liked this spot too. Win win! Will def. Come back! read more

This is my first time here and they did such a great job!! Got a gel manicure with Jessica and she was so so good. 5 Star Nails absolutely deserves 5 Stars. The owners and her staff were courteous and very professional. My mani/pedi, along with a nail design, was flawless. Most importantly, the salon is impeccably clean read more

I was quite distraught to see how they sanitize here. Used tools are just lightly sprayed with alcohol before using them on another person. This is not enough, sorry! Same for the pedi sink. A light spritz of alcohol, water rinse, and on to the next person. The towel the manicurist was using on me was dirty. Pumice stones being swapped between pedicurists. I just wanted to run out the door. read more

Tried this place a couple months ago, never went to any other salon after. I pay $45 for a gel mani pedi, that's without tip. I like the location and I also like how they have these amazing massage chairs. The place is clean and professional, and have ample amounts of colors to choose from. They even offer the glittery powder that can be applied to the nails as nail polish. My favorite lady is Ana, Sofia is also very good. My only problem is the wingstop next door that makes me tempted to break my healthy choices. And call ahead to make an appointment because this place is usually booked and packed. read more

I have been coming to 5 star for about 1 1/2 years, I don't necessarily have a specific person I see but till this day I have yet to have a bad experience. Basically, to avoid a wait, make an appointment. The times I have gone without an appointment , Thad the owner as well the the receptionist have always done there best to accommodate me as soon as possible. They often even offer coffee, water, and around the holidays..egg nog! I was a previous client of Million Dollar Nails and it was a very stressful and tense atmosphere, they were so busy at timers the quality of work was compromised. Overall it's a friendly and relaxed nail salon with knowledgeable employees that get the job done and done right! (The decor can use a little help) read more
