I came in as a last minute hair cut appointment with Alejandra. She was running behind and I was asked if I would like to wait or go with another stylist that was available. I didn't mind and went with another stylist, Luz. She was so sweet and amazing! I have thick hair and my hair had absolutely no shape. She really made my hair feel and look beautiful! It was the best decision I made. I definitely recommend Luz. She asked for photo references and it looked just like the photo! She pays attention to detail. I cannot wait to go back in a few months. I had been growing out my hair to donate it to Children With Hair Loss (a non-profit that provides wigs at no cost to children and young adults with hair loss. Instagram:@cwhl_org). I had never been to "U Beauty Bar" before, but I was happy to get a next-day appointment with the talented Alejandra Sanchez (Instagram: @styledbyalejandra)! When I arrived for my appointment, the staff was friendly and offered me coffee. Alejandra was very welcoming, friendly, and listened to my requests. She gave me a balayage on my natural undyed hair and the results were amazing! She was very thorough and attentive to all of my questions throughout the process. Alejandra also made sure that I was comfortable and explained all the steps to me so I would know what to expect. I found this location on Yelp while visiting family. I walked- in for a manipulation and pedicure for me and my Mom. There was only one tech available, AND she was wonderful. There wasn't time at the moment, so we went next door for food. The location is nicely designed and VERY clean. We received white wine in flutes and our tech, who was recently from Cuba and only spoke Spanish, was VERY good and gentle. We both received gel manicures and regular pedicures. The experience was very much concierge. The manicures were very well done. Highly recommend if you are in or near Kendall, FL. read more

The owner is amazing! The salon is modern and the music and TVs are playing relaxing ambience. They were able to accommodate me on short notice. Gaby was my stylist and she made me feel at ease through the whole process. I'm brunette going blonde and getting rid of previous hair dyes that turn orange/ brassy can be a challenge. Grateful that they took me in as a new client on New Year's Eve. My hair is still long and feels silky and a beautiful bronde. I actually found this place after visiting the coffee shop in this shopping center. I was greeted at the door and was attended to promptly. My manicurist, Gaby, is legit the GOAT-- and I say that very seldom. She is meticulous, knowledgeable and an expert at her craft. I have only found one other manicurist to this caliber and she's in Orlando lol. Will definitely be a regular here now so long as Gaby is there. I also loved the salon. Very chic, trendy, and there's a salon pup who is the most handsome boy and he honestly made my experience so much better lol. Who doesn't love dogs?! Anyway, I had a gel mani and regular pedi done. Most of their polishes are OPI, which is standard for most salons, but I prefer DND. They have some DND but not very many, however Gaby said she will be buying more. Really nice place, I've been looking for a while for a good nail salon, btw this is a Regular salon and they have only 2 technicians for manicures, but scheduling is super easy, the first time I went I had my nails done by Arasay, and have continued making my appointments with her, I really like how she does my manicure and pedicure, she's not harsh on my feet with the stone and I love that, she know exactly how much is needed, and I love that they don't use the electric machines to file your calluses, I only have very few spots, and I don't need to create more, which is what happens when you file unnecessary places. As per my manicure, my nails look absolutely beautiful, I only do gel, and they look so natural, like never before!!! I want to be clear about why I came to this beauty salon, it gave me a lot of confidence because I trusted them with my hair for a keratin treatment, let's say it worked but not enough, my hair is very strong and not everything reacts to it like the rest. The point is that I went to fix my nails on the 27th and the same day the product began to fall off. The girl's name is Josy, to be honest, I've been to other places and I know how to make dip powder. The girl is very inexperienced. Gotta say that Patty was awesome. My wife went in this morning at 0900 and she took her time, listened to what my wife had to say, and didn't rush the process. Awesome stylist and knows her craft. I'm from Hawaii and my Wife is from Germany. We are new to the area and don't speak Spanish (we are learning though) but she speaks perfect English. It might be a bit pricier than others but I can tell you that having my wife happy about her hair - you can't put a price on that! Place has a nice atmosphere. Clean and comfortable. I had an amazing experience at this salon, I had an appointment and from the moment I walked in they were ready to start with me. Nice, professional staff. I was offered a glass of wine while y hair was being done and another while my nails were getting done. Mike was may hair dresser and he was amazing! He washed my hair and massaged my head thoroughly. He took his time combing my hair and then flat ironing the roots and then doing waves that lasted all weekend.... He was amazing!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! I went to get my hair blowdried and curled for my first day of senior year. When the lady (Greter P.) started to curl my hair, my hair was not fully dry and the iron was on full heat with no heat protection. I left the salon with my hair fried off. My hair smelled burnt and the hair from my chin down is completely fried. I had just gotten my hair cut about 6 inches a week prior so it was very healthy and strong and I have never dyed my hair or touched my hair with any chemicals. I am now dealing with my hair permanently being brittle and fried. They did give me a full refund and told me to go back in for a hair treatment that would "fix it" but it did nothing. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Okay so I was superrr nervous about coming to get my hair cut since the specific cut required a technique that wasn't well known and frankly I've had so many experiences with old ladies who give my hair a terrible haircut every-time i ask for something a little trendy or modern that i was contemplating doing it myself. THANK GOD I DIDN'T. The guy who did my hair was extremely familiar with the technique and gave me a sort of wolf cut that worked with my hair type and made it look phenomenal. The pedi was disappointing but not as bad as my hands. Do not do your nails here. After only 1 week 2 nails broke and I had to go get them redone somewhere else. This is the first review that I have ever posted on Yelp and I'm honestly not the type to bash small businesses but I honestly think anyone trying to visit this place should get a heads up. The hairdressers are kind and professional, the beauty salon is nicely decorated and clean. However, don't let them fool you... They literally charged me $125 dollars just to dye my hair brown (that's usually the price I would pay for more complex services such as balayage, ombré, etc) I could have gone to Walgreens and bought the hair dye and done what they did myself for less than $30 dollars. The cut was $25 dollars and the blower $55. When I asked the owners why it was so expensive they didn't seem to care and just gave me a blunt answer- that today's economy was to blame. The owner actually put a customized price on my receipt. She charged me $120 for the "dye" just because she felt like it, it wasn't a price already set in the system (please see receipt attached and notice how other services I got already have the names of the services linked to the price except the two custom items) The custom item towards the bottom of receipt was a $15 tip that I left for hairdresser. The $125 is what she charged me for the dye just because she felt like it. It wasn't anything special. Read another comment on here from other customers that had a similar experience. Glad to know that I wasn't the only one that felt like I was getting scammed by these people. Seems like they need all the help that they could get due to the pandemic and they're trying to milk their customers. Wishing them nothing but the very best but if they can't be honest with their customers that's a big no no for me. read more
