I was five minutes late--just five minutes. The lady was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I even told her it was my fault because I didn't have their number to call and let them know. You can have x amount of years, but if you don't have good customer service, that is what the point of having a business read more

Told me they could do design and they I. fact could not. They also cut me very badly and continued to file in the same spot.

I wasn't going to post this but as I'm getting ready to go to work on a Sunday I am realizing I work too hard for earn money to throw away. My manicures were simple, all I ask was not to use the drill because my nails are thin but they always did anyway :( I always left a 20.00 tip, which I now regret. Out of all the nail salons in Homestead elegant nails has always been my go-to even before the new management. I never had an issue with them and the previous owner was always very kind. To my surprise when visiting today I found out there was a new owner so I was kind of skeptical but I enjoyed every minute of it. Upon arriving I was attended immediately and was told the prices. The new owner is very attentive and did my nails and eyebrows beautifully. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was because my toes seem like a different color than my hands which I didn't noticed till I left. Either way I will definitely return! First time i went it took over 2 hours of waiting and getting nails done before me and my friends were finished. They are always busy and even with appointments they didn't keep up with them. Nails were shaped awful and cut down super short. I went again to give them another try and it has been 3 days and my dip nails already start chipping. My friend had to go back to redo hers because they were very poorly done and the design she wanted looked super messy and rushed. Never coming here again. read more

Sandy used to do my nails in Doral about a year and a half ago and once moving to homestead, Doral was too long of a commute for me. I ended up finding her salon in homestead and was so excited to 1. Do not come to this place they treat you badly, the prices are much more expensive than in other places and your nails are not good to finish the drawings they were badly done, that is horrible and the nail broke two days later and they did not want to do them to me ,The person in charge yelled at me and how I complained, he said that he would call the police for claiming my right to a poorly done service, I do not put zero because you cannot, it is the worst place in Homestead to get your nails done. I'm not an active reviewer but I felt like I had to have some time to write this review. I walked in today for just manicure; nothing crazy. It was actually my first time ever. I just wanted to file them short and have a gel coat. Nothing else. I was horrified when this lady started cutting my cuticles and she unintentionally cut a little bit of skin and I started bleeding. The lady did not use any type of gloves or precaution and tried to stop the bleeding with a PAPER TOWEL and BARE HANDS! She then proceeded to apply the gel and kept applying some drops so my finger would stop bleeding and when it finally did she took a piece of paper towel again to wipe the excess of blood, my nail was a little bit stained because of the blood and she did not care to clean it and she applied the gel on top of my bloody finger nail. I just hope and pray that all the tools she used on me would've been sanitized and that she sanitized them after me. What a horrendous, disgusting, and appalling experience! I wish I could give no stars. I had my nails done there and the guy had each one of my acrylics at least three quarters of an inch thick oh, the colors look like crap, and he just did an overall horrible job. I went back and asked them to redo them because they looked horrible and John said he was the manager but he wasn't going to fix anything without me paying for an entire new service, even though it is only been a day and a half since his employee did a horrible job on my nails. I just went and had my regular girl fix my nails and she had to remove almost every single nail and redo it the proper way because he did such a crappy job. I wish I could put negative stars for this nail salon. I went to this nail salon two days ago with my friends and we placed an appointment. We arrived at the nail salon and guess what? We had to wait for our OWN APPOINTMENT. I asked for dip pink nails (which I get all the time) and a flower design. The dip nails were terrible worst nails i have ever gotten and the flower design looks like a little kid drew it. I knew my nails were bad when she finished but i was in a rush to work. Paid $45 for the poorly done nails. I called to get them and told them about my nails and they said I could come in today. I came in today, told the lady who i was and sat done right away. But nope! She would do my nails off and on. So she would file my nails, go back to a new customer, and i waited an hour in between each person that she got. So i waited a total of three hours for them to fix my nails. my friend also got dipped and it chipped after two days of getting them. The customer service was horrific! Never going there again. I hope whoever is reading saves their time and money by not going to elegant nails. read more
