Let's start off by saying that it's extremely difficult to find a good pedicure in West Kendall/ even miami .. I've had several that you're in and out in 35 minutes and you still pay a whole bunch of money. I've also been at places for two hours and still left disappointed. Miami Nail Bar has a loyal customer as long as my tech is still there. I've had a few techs here and there throughout the years, they also come and go. But after I met Barbara, everything changed for me. I will not go anywhere else or to anyone else for my pedicure. I've "cheated" on her in the past and instantly regret it. She understands me because i have an issue with my foot- her mother also has the same issue. I'm truly writing this review because she goes above & beyond and is kind even through the language barrier. When I met her, she was learning English. Now she's able to ask me questions in English and it's so impressive to me. She has a heart of gold and truly gives me the expectation and experience that you should receive at Miami Nail Bar. She paints perfectly, and takes her time throughout the whole pedicure. They do have three categories for their pedicures. Ranging from $40-100 with different themes and add-ons such as parafin & hot stones etc . I typically get the deluxe pedicure + gel polish, no matter what because they include the parafin and hot stones for $$70 but that does not include gel which is a $15 additional charge. My favorites would have to be Cleopatra or Sex and The City. As I said, it's definitely not "the cheapest pedi in miami" so if you're looking for a $35 including gel price this is not going to be your place. But the ambience feels trendy and inviting. Usually you're given two options for pedicures not 10-15 ! I've had no chipping on my toes for at least five weeks. I'm a busy mama. I don't always have time to go every 2-3 weeks. At other places, I've had problems with chipping within days... side note with certain purchases you receive a complimentary beverage. Ranging from things like bottled water, soda, and a hand crafted beverage menu which is thoughtful. I don't mind spending my hard earned coin here. Thank you Barbara and MNB read more

I will not be returning to this nail salon after the way my concerns were handled during my most recent visit. I went in hoping to relax and disconnect while having my pedicure done, but the owner approached me during the service and told me that I could no longer wear my UV-protection gloves during my manicure because they supposedly cause my nail technician, Any, to take longer. The owner also told me that the salon had always scheduled extra time for my appointments because of the gloves, but that they could no longer continue doing so. This did not make sense to me because I book my own appointments online, just like any other customer, and no one has ever contacted me to say that extra time was being added. I have also forgotten the gloves on several occasions, so the claim that they have always made special scheduling accommodations for me does not appear to be accurate. During my previous appointment, Any went to the bathroom approximately four times, which may have contributed to the appointment running behind. Any was also noticeably irritated and in a bad mood during that visit, which made the experience uncomfortable. The manicure from that appointment did not last. My nails chipped and broke much sooner than they should have. The owner blamed the UV-protection gloves, but my pedicure did not last either, and I obviously do not wear the gloves on my feet. For that reason, blaming the gloves did not make sense to me. Although Amy can usually make my nails look nice initially, the pedicure itself has never felt thorough. The service description includes scrubbing and a massage, but she does not properly scrub my feet with a pumice stone, and I do not receive a meaningful foot massage. After spending more than $100, my feet should feel noticeably smoother. I have had many pedicures throughout my life, and this is not how feet should feel immediately after receiving a professional pedicure. The main reason I continued coming to this salon was convenience because it is located near another place I visit regularly. Unfortunately, convenience is not worth being blamed for poor results, or leaving without receiving the full service advertised. The way the owner approached me made me feel uncomfortable rather than valued as a paying customer. With so many nail salons nearby, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

The vibe and environment of the place is over all good and inviting. I just wish management knew who they were hiring when they hired Jessica. She's has the worst attitude, rude, very sloppy, extremely rushed and good luck telling her she's hurting you, she doesn't care and keeps going. She was my first impression of this place. As soon as I left I had to go get my nails fixed. I would speak up about how she was leaving the slides of my nails unpainted, she huffed and puffed in annoyance and painting over my whole finger to prove a point or something. When she was drilling off my gel, I jumped on one of the nails because she hurt me and did it to hard, she looked at me like I was crazy and kept going. And lastly, I booked for a hard gel which is $50, and instead she chose to do luminary that was $55 without telling me (aside from my add on). It's not about the $5 difference because I paid for it anyway but it's the principle of trying to scam and overcharge customers. This was my first time here, and I came with a friend who did her nails with Nancy, who treated her kindly, gently and respectfully. The place is nice to go to, just don't book with Jessica! read more

Came as a walk in early on a Friday around 930 I was sent away and asked to return at 1030. I arrived early. I was advised my the front seat my appointment was 1045 instead of 1030 almost 11 and I'm still waiting . today is my birthday disappointed and wouldn't recommend! After waiting over 30 minutes I left. they have my number and email instead of calling I received a text. HORRIBLE SERVICE WOULDN'T RECOMMEND read more

I've been coming to Miami Nail Bar for years and exclusively with Liliana for about 3 years now. I have nothing but positive things to say about the place and Liliana is exceptional in her craft. Very attentive to detail and actually cares for your overall nail health. She does miracles and very quick. Not rushed but she's just amazing. 1000% recommend. read more

Terrible experience--rude, unprofessional, and poor-quality work! Tried Miami Nail Bar in West Kendall since it was closer than my usual salon. Big mistake. From the start, my nail tech was argumentative and did a sloppy job. My nail shape was uneven, lengths didn't match, and she left old polish on during my luminary refill. Instead of applying a proper layer, she used a thin, polish-like product and didn't bring it back to the cuticle on multiple nails. When I politely pointed this out, she argued and called over another employee (who was very kind) but continued talking about me in Spanish, assuming I wouldn't understand. When it came to choosing a polish, she refused to explain the color properly, and I had to get the front desk to step in. The tech kept getting defensive, mockingly asked if I liked every nail, and later told a coworker in Spanish she didn't know when I'd be "done" because I might have "more problems." Then, when I was supposed to get a polish change on my toes, two employees refused, pointed at me, whispered about me in Spanish, and laughed. They argued over who "had" to do it. The front desk had to intervene again, but by then, I felt so uncomfortable I refused to continue service. I tipped the two kind employees but will NEVER return. Terrible quality, unprofessional staff, and blatant disrespect. Avoid this place if you expect decent service and basic professionalism. It was very clicky and because I didn't speak Spanish, they were very rude to me and judgmental and treated me like I was worthless read more

I've been doing my nails here for about 2 yrs, all the techs are good some better than others of course. They are clean which is awesome and when you have a concern they make sure to fix it . The only reason it's not 5 stars is because everything is a charge which I understand in this economy but there's things like a changing of a nail shape... I don't know by the time you pay it's $100+ Again I take because they are good but some things are just ehhh The eyebrow tech is AMAZING she kills it every time! read more

I was disappointed with the quality of service I received during my recent visit. The technician cut my cuticles in several areas. Additionally, my nails were trimmed significantly shorter than the length I requested, and my nails appeared uneven and crooked. I have never had anyone do this poor of a job on my nails before. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning. I hope the salon will use this feedback to improve the consistency and professionalism of its services. read more

I go for their wax bar and the pedi's. The service is amazing everytime, always asking if it's what I want and if I like it. Very consistent work and the place is very cozy. A good place to get your nails done, or even your brows. 10/10 recommend read more

While on vacation in Miami, I broke two of my long acrylic nails and needed a fill and repairs. After browsing Yelp, I decided on Miami Nail Bar. I was running 10 minutes late due to an accident on the Turnpike, but the nail tech greeted me warmly and seemed friendly at first. We discussed the services I needed, and she made good recommendations. My nails turned out great in the end, and I was happy with how they looked. However, the experience overall was far from relaxing. What typically takes 1.5 hours--even with intricate designs--ended up taking 2.5 hours without any design work. The cuticle cleanup was overly aggressive, cutting into my skin to the point of bleeding, which was painful and unprofessional. Throughout the visit, the nail tech was very hot and cold--nice at times, but also dropping passive-aggressive comments. She even blamed me for being late and claimed it disrupted her next client's schedule, despite my short delay and the extended service time being largely due to her pace. The salon itself is super cute and very colorful, and I could see it being a nice place to relax under different circumstances. Despite the issues, I would consider giving it another chance, perhaps with a different nail tech. read more

My daughter requested a star painted as nail art. The manicurists commented that my daughter was "asking for something too detailed," which was unnecessary and unprofessional. She referred to my daughter as a "gringa" simply because she did not speak Spanish. This comment was made in front of her, and it was unacceptable for an 11 year old girl. When one of the ladies spoke to my daughter in Spanish, my daughter did respond in Spanish, demonstrating that language was not the issue. read more

l really wanted to love this place so much...but each time it was just worse and worse. Here's my break down of the pros and cons based on my 5 visits. Before we begin I just wanna note: I thought the reviews were just exaggerating or thought those people were very sensitive when they would complain about being cut but BOY OH BOY they might as well just do your cuticles blind folded because the amount of times they would cut me has to be a world record. Pros: -The receptionists are very friendly and very kind. -It's a very clean environment and they always keep things tidy. -The wait time once you arrive is never a long wait. -They offer wine or champagne (they never offered it to me but I know they have it) -If you need an urgent last minute regular mani/pedi I definitely recommend if you can't go to your regular nail tech because they're booked. Cons: -Nail techs never take accountability for bad work or for cutting you. If you tell them anything they blame it on you instead of just apologizing and asking how they can make it better or just simply apologizing for even cutting you. -If you need to make an appointment you need to schedule at LEAST 2 weeks in advance (sometimes a little more) to get the tech you want. -The nail techs gossip about EVERYONE. clients, reception, and even about not getting enough work OR too little work. And they always blame reception for that. I'm here to do my nails not worry about work gossip, I have enough of that at my own job and I'm there to relax and get my nails done. -Nail techs here come and go. That alone says enough. -Nail techs need to learn common courtesy. i.e. don't shake your towel full of cuticle or nail dust from drilling in front of the face of the client. Do it under the counter or in the back or something so it doesn't come back to the clients face. This last time I went to do a full set with Lisandra. She did my refill the time before (I had done my full set with Adrianna who was no longer there by the time I needed to refill) but Lisandra she did a terrific job with the refill so I decided to do a full set about a month and a half later with her and that was not her best work. Side note: I do full sets on myself but every so often I like to treat myself and have someone else do it for me which is one of these instances. I can take the pain when it comes to getting a full set because I've been doing acrylics since I was 13 years old. I'm 31 now. When they would cut me I never got an "I'm sorry" or anything it was simply "if you move I'm gonna cut you so don't move. Tell me if it hurts so I don't cut you" please explain to me how I'm supposed to predict that you're gonna cut me so I don't react??? There are some nail techs that are great with nail placement and others that are not and Lisandra cannot do a full set on my hands because the nails came out pointing upward and I couldn't even say anything because 10/10 chances are that she would blame my fingers even though I've never had this issue when I get a full set or even when I do it myself(I definitely didn't have this issue with Adrianna). I WILL give her this: the design came out amazing BUT the actual nail placement is terrible. They are definitely pointing upward. I did them on a late afternoon Saturday appointment. I noticed they were pointing a little upward but since I hadn't had a full set in a little over a month i thought I was overthinking and when I woke up today on Sunday I realized they were indeed pointing upward and I couldn't even call them to let them know because they are closed Sunday and Monday. So I'm stuck with weird looking nails until my cuticle heals from them cutting me to remove the nails myself. This isn't even about the money because when it comes to my hands, if have to, I will drop up to $600 easily if they know what they're doing. The nail techs here are in for a quick buck not realizing the real money is in the returning clients. Such a shame because I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I won't be coming back. read more

Today was a remarkably different experience from my last appointment, and I am very satisfied with everything! My first time around wasn't the greatest and so I didn't rebook for a long time. Today I was in a pinch so I decided to give them a second chance and I'm very happy I did! My pedicure was perfect, no cuts and done very gently but thoroughly. I also had a broken nail and was able to add on a quick apres-gel nail repair to my appointment which I was grateful they were able to accommodate last minute. The front desk girls were also so sweet and provided really good customer service. From beginning to end everything was pleasant, and I can see myself coming back again soon. I hardly ever get my nails done. But I was going away and I wanted my nails to look really pretty. I read the reviews on yelp and decided to book with Najara. I showed her a picture and told her I only wanted to keep acrylics on for about two weeks. She suggested I do something called Arpres. In short, think of Aprés as a sophisticated press-on made completely out of gel. Unlike acrylic, which is an extension solely at the tip, Aprés covers the entire nail bed, fostering a safer space for natural nail growth with far less trauma. I really thought they looked great. I will definitely be going to her from now on if I ever need a glam up. read more

Really liked the idea of having a complimentary drink with nail service. Came here with my mom and we both had different experiences. My mom's nail tech offered her a drink as she sat down in the chair, and took her time with her mani and pedi. My nail tech seemed to be working quite quickly through my pedi, and only offered me a drink at the end of my service, after I tipped her. She also forgot the hot towel part and moisturizing/butter part of my pedi and remembered about it after my nails were painted. I'd go back but to the nail tech my mom went to. It does get busy, appointment recommended! read more

I just left this place and my experience was AMAZING! let's start off by saying the owner is SUPER DUPER SWEET!!!!! It's the only place open right now and it's super up to code with the COVID rules. They have dividers between you and the technician while your getting pampered which is a huge relief. Their pedicure selection is off the chain with soooo many choices it's unbelievable, The decor is what any nail salon should aspire to want to look like but hey my ladies this place definitely has style and class! I did my nails with Clara who I highly recommend. She was super sweet, very meticulous and took her time. My nails finally look normal again. I not only recommend this place but will be back in the future. It's a hidden gem I am sooooo happy I found. Thank you ladies for being so welcoming and sweet! read more

Yesterday, I booked an appointment online. Since it was the same day, I went with the first available technician. I had Yanet do my hands with gel FX. She did a great job. Thank you!!! However, I was assigned Lia for my feet, who was pleasant, but let me start off with the way she slopped the scrub on my feet, and then scrubbed my feet with the purple pumice sponge, so lightly I thought she had no energy or desire to exfoliate my feet. She proceeded with the pedicure, and then she was about to start painting my toe nails, and I see that she's dripping nail polish from the brush on to the floor. WTH?!?! She then painted my toe nails, and when she was finished, she had nail polish on my toes. She then proceeded to clean up near my toe nails with a brush dipped in acetone. I thought, she was going to clean up the paint she had gotten all over my toes, but she didn't. When she finished. I noticed that I the nail on my right, big toe was longer than the other. I told her, so she filed it down, then I tell her that the nail polish edges near the cuticles of both big toes is all crooked. I asked her to fix it, so she applied another coat and then a top coat. When I got home at almost 2 AM, I took a closer look at my toes. There were specks of nail polish all over my toes, there was nail residue under my nail bed, my cuticles weren't properly cut. Bottom line, my toes were a hot mess, worse than when I do them myself, and I don't have the best eyesight. At 2 AM I was removing the polish and there was even polish residue from my previous pedi. I then applied a clear coat of polish since I didn't want to walk around with such a dreadful paint job. Now I have to go elsewhere and pay to have them repainted. All I can say is that I'm really disappointed since I expected a lot more from this establishment based on its modern appearance and pleasant aesthetic. I also thought I would be more satisfied with a $30 pedicure, when most places in Miami charge about $25. Although I should have known better, especially after my first encounter with a young lady with long dark hair, was extremely rough. To end on a positive note though, Gaby, the young lady who charged me, was extremely pleasant. All in all, I won't be back, nor will I recommend this nail salon to anyone else. read more
