Terrible experience--rude, unprofessional, and poor-quality work! Tried Miami Nail Bar in West Kendall since it was closer than my usual salon. Big mistake. From the start, my nail tech was argumentative and did a sloppy job. My nail shape was uneven, lengths didn't match, and she left old polish on during my luminary refill. Instead of applying a proper layer, she used a thin, polish-like product and didn't bring it back to the cuticle on multiple nails. When I politely pointed this out, she argued and called over another employee (who was very kind) but continued talking about me in Spanish, assuming I wouldn't understand. When it came to choosing a polish, she refused to explain the color properly, and I had to get the front desk to step in. The tech kept getting defensive, mockingly asked if I liked every nail, and later told a coworker in Spanish she didn't know when I'd be "done" because I might have "more problems." Then, when I was supposed to get a polish change on my toes, two employees refused, pointed at me, whispered about me in Spanish, and laughed. They argued over who "had" to do it. The front desk had to intervene again, but by then, I felt so uncomfortable I refused to continue service. I tipped the two kind employees but will NEVER return. Terrible quality, unprofessional staff, and blatant disrespect. Avoid this place if you expect decent service and basic professionalism. I was disappointed with the quality of service I received during my recent visit. The technician cut my cuticles in several areas. Additionally, my nails were trimmed significantly shorter than the length I requested, and my nails appeared uneven and crooked. I have never had anyone do this poor of a job on my nails before. While on vacation in Miami, I broke two of my long acrylic nails and needed a fill and repairs. After browsing Yelp, I decided on Miami Nail Bar. I was running 10 minutes late due to an accident on the Turnpike, but the nail tech greeted me warmly and seemed friendly at first. We discussed the services I needed, and she made good recommendations. My nails turned out great in the end, and I was happy with how they looked. However, the experience overall was far from relaxing. What typically takes 1.5 hours--even with intricate designs--ended up taking 2.5 hours without any design work. The cuticle cleanup was overly aggressive, cutting into my skin to the point of bleeding, which was painful and unprofessional. Throughout the visit, the nail tech was very hot and cold--nice at times, but also dropping passive-aggressive comments. She even blamed me for being late and claimed it disrupted her next client's schedule, despite my short delay and the extended service time being largely due to her pace. The salon itself is super cute and very colorful, and I could see it being a nice place to relax under different circumstances. l really wanted to love this place so much...but each time it was just worse and worse. Here's my break down of the pros and cons based on my 5 visits. Before we begin I just wanna note: I thought the reviews were just exaggerating or thought those people were very sensitive when they would complain about being cut but BOY OH BOY they might as well just do your cuticles blind folded because the amount of times they would cut me has to be a world record. Pros: -The receptionists are very friendly and very kind. -It's a very clean environment and they always keep things tidy. -The wait time once you arrive is never a long wait. -They offer wine or champagne (they never offered it to me but I know they have it) -If you need an urgent last minute regular mani/pedi I definitely recommend if you can't go to your regular nail tech because they're booked. Cons: -Nail techs never take accountability for bad work or for cutting you. If you tell them anything they blame it on you instead of just apologizing and asking how they can make it better or just simply apologizing for even cutting you. -If you need to make an appointment you need to schedule at LEAST 2 weeks in advance (sometimes a little more) to get the tech you want. -The nail techs gossip about EVERYONE. clients, reception, and even about not getting enough work OR too little work. And they always blame reception for that. I'm here to do my nails not worry about work gossip, I have enough of that at my own job and I'm there to relax and get my nails done. -Nail techs here come and go. That alone says enough. -Nail techs need to learn common courtesy. i.e. don't shake your towel full of cuticle or nail dust from drilling in front of the face of the client. Do it under the counter or in the back or something so it doesn't come back to the clients face. This last time I went to do a full set with Lisandra. She did my refill the time before (I had done my full set with Adrianna who was no longer there by the time I needed to refill) but Lisandra she did a terrific job with the refill so I decided to do a full set about a month and a half later with her and that was not her best work. Side note: I do full sets on myself but every so often I like to treat myself and have someone else do it for me which is one of these instances. I can take the pain when it comes to getting a full set because I've been doing acrylics since I was 13 years old. I'm 31 now. When they would cut me I never got an "I'm sorry" or anything it was simply "if you move I'm gonna cut you so don't move. Tell me if it hurts so I don't cut you" please explain to me how I'm supposed to predict that you're gonna cut me so I don't react??? There are some nail techs that are great with nail placement and others that are not and Lisandra cannot do a full set on my hands because the nails came out pointing upward and I couldn't even say anything because 10/10 chances are that she would blame my fingers even though I've never had this issue when I get a full set or even when I do it myself(I definitely didn't have this issue with Adrianna). I WILL give her this: the design came out amazing BUT the actual nail placement is terrible. They are definitely pointing upward. I did them on a late afternoon Saturday appointment. I noticed they were pointing a little upward but since I hadn't had a full set in a little over a month i thought I was overthinking and when I woke up today on Sunday I realized they were indeed pointing upward and I couldn't even call them to let them know because they are closed Sunday and Monday. So I'm stuck with weird looking nails until my cuticle heals from them cutting me to remove the nails myself. This isn't even about the money because when it comes to my hands, if have to, I will drop up to $600 easily if they know what they're doing. The nail techs here are in for a quick buck not realizing the real money is in the returning clients. Such a shame because I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I won't be coming back. read more

Today was a remarkably different experience from my last appointment, and I am very satisfied with everything! My first time around wasn't the greatest and so I didn't rebook for a long time. Today I was in a pinch so I decided to give them a second chance and I'm very happy I did! My pedicure was perfect, no cuts and done very gently but thoroughly. I also had a broken nail and was able to add on a quick apres-gel nail repair to my appointment which I was grateful they were able to accommodate last minute. Unlike acrylic, which is an extension solely at the tip, Aprés covers the entire nail bed, fostering a safer space for natural nail growth with far less trauma. I really thought they looked great. Yesterday, I booked an appointment online. Since it was the same day, I went with the first available technician. I had Yanet do my hands with gel FX. She did a great job. Thank you!!! However, I was assigned Lia for my feet, who was pleasant, but let me start off with the way she slopped the scrub on my feet, and then scrubbed my feet with the purple pumice sponge, so lightly I thought she had no energy or desire to exfoliate my feet. She proceeded with the pedicure, and then she was about to start painting my toe nails, and I see that she's dripping nail polish from the brush on to the floor. WTH?!?! She then painted my toe nails, and when she was finished, she had nail polish on my toes. She then proceeded to clean up near my toe nails with a brush dipped in acetone. I thought, she was going to clean up the paint she had gotten all over my toes, but she didn't. When she finished. I noticed that I the nail on my right, big toe was longer than the other. I told her, so she filed it down, then I tell her that the nail polish edges near the cuticles of both big toes is all crooked. I asked her to fix it, so she applied another coat and then a top coat. When I got home at almost 2 AM, I took a closer look at my toes. There were specks of nail polish all over my toes, there was nail residue under my nail bed, my cuticles weren't properly cut. Bottom line, my toes were a hot mess, worse than when I do them myself, and I don't have the best eyesight. At 2 AM I was removing the polish and there was even polish residue from my previous pedi. I then applied a clear coat of polish since I didn't want to walk around with such a dreadful paint job. Now I have to go elsewhere and pay to have them repainted. All I can say is that I'm really disappointed since I expected a lot more from this establishment based on its modern appearance and pleasant aesthetic. I also thought I would be more satisfied with a $30 pedicure, when most places in Miami charge about $25. Although I should have known better, especially after my first encounter with a young lady with long dark hair, was extremely rough. To end on a positive note though, Gaby, the young lady who charged me, was extremely pleasant. All in all, I won't be back, nor will I recommend this nail salon to anyone else. read more

I just left this place and my experience was AMAZING! let's start off by saying the owner is SUPER DUPER SWEET!!!!! It's the only place open right now and it's super up to code with the COVID rules. They have dividers between you and the technician while your getting pampered which is a huge relief. Their pedicure selection is off the chain with soooo many choices it's unbelievable, The decor is what any nail salon should aspire to want to look like but hey my ladies this place definitely has style and class! My first and last time coming was on New Year's Eve. I called to have my toes and hands done and they said come on in that day. I get to my appt and the girl at the front desk said I'm only getting my nails done even though I asked for both, so that made me upset from the start. The girl at the front desk told me she'd let me know if anyone cancels for a pedicure even though my appt was supposed to be both and of course no one did. The lady called for me to come back and started my nails. she asked what I wanted, I told her I wanted tips put on and the dip powder as well. She had all my nails picked out and glued on and when she started filing them, all the nails flew off and she was getting agitated after each one just fell off which wasn't her fault. She let her manager know and I told her I just want gel dip powder manicure with my real nails no tips. She started and did the whole process backwards, I know this because I've had this done to my nails and I've never seen anyone do it like that before. She cut my cuticle and immediately put alcohol on it to stop the bleeding but it hurt! My nails are too thick, they're chipping and cracking, my cuticles look awful and I now have an ingrown thumbnail. Overall I'm very unpleased with how it all turned out and I will not be coming back for any service. read more

Needed to go in to repair 2 dip nails that chipped badly (from a different nail salon). I needed to get these nails fixed ASAP, since I had an event to attend later that evening. I called Miami Nail Bar and they were able to fit me in within an hour! I had told the receptionist which color I needed and when I arrived, they had my color ready for me at the nail tech's station.
