Oh girl where do I even begin.... let me start off by saying I refuse to get my nails done elsewhere. I've been coming here to Sandy's studio for well over a year now and I'm not stopping anytime soon. She has been the only person who has actually been able to grow out my nails. I've always had short stubby nails and they've grown so much, I almost can't believe they're real! She is a true artist and expert! I've done so many different cool designs and she only gets better and better. Her gel manis last so long, much longer than other places I've been to in the past, which is yet another reason why I'm not going anywhere else EVER. I saw a previous review that mentioned her manicure didn't last, I'm just wondering if she's confusing Sandy for another studio (since it's in a beauty mall) because her manicures LAST LONG, like long enough to grow your nails big time. I could attach a whole album of my nails, but I'll just show you how short my nails used to be compared to how long they are now (shiny blue nails are the most recent). read more

I went to this nail salon because I was in the area... I walked in and a woman took me right away for an acrylic manicure! the women there were very nice! It did take longer than usual, which I was free so that didn't really matter to me. Just expected if they took a long time then my nails would be stunning. There was nothing wrong with the actual people. But the quality of nails was down right bad. I asked for square but more round, didn't get what I asked for so I had to physically round out ACRYLIC nails, which is not easy. Also I'm writing this post a week after I got my nails done and 5 of my nails have completely tore off or chipped. Never wasting $50 here again, best if you find another place! Mind you this is 7 days before my wedding day.... I was hoping to have these while family and friends were here , for parties and gatherings before my big day. EPIC FAIL read more

I have gone through multiple nail salons and technicians. I've had semi good experiences and really bad ones too. But today as my first time going to Chroma Glam Studio, I had a wonderful and peaceful time. Unfortunately I didn't have the joys of meeting Sandy, but me and my mom ended getting our mani and pedi done by Melissa. Even though it's a small place with two nail techs I can truly say that it was peaceful, cute and relaxing. It's always nice to be treated right and also get quality work done as well. We had an appointment at 2:30 pm today and we were seen right on time. We actually got seen a couple minutes before 2:30. It's so nice when you go to a place and they follow their appointments. I've paid the same amount for a gel mani & reg pedi at other places, ($45) but the work was sloppy and/or were treated rudely. It's inside the beauty mall in London square , it's colorful, vibrant and clean. Inside their salon it's clean and I even saw Melissa clean and wipe down the pedicure chair and tub after each use. I truly believe we've found our permanent nail salon and nail techs !!! I definitely recommend everyone to go here for quality and good pricing. Hope to try Sandy when she is back in town. read more

After years of trying many different nail salons in the Kendall area, I got tired of feeling like just another number, and also many times started to worry about the overall cleanliness of many of these places. On a whim, I did a yelp search on nail salons close to home and Chroma Glam Studio popped up. I saw it was less than a mile away from my home. After reading reviews and seeing the gorgeous pictures I almost felt like this place was too good to be true so I decided to reach out and and see if I could get an appointment. I text Sandy, the owner, and she immediately text me back. She informed me a gel manicure with a regular pedicure is $45.....what?!? That is an extremely great price! After hours of going back and forth trying to find the right time that would work for me, she was able to fit me in on a Saturday afternoon with Melissa, her co-worker. I must mention, that the entire time I kept texting Sandy with my appointment needs/requests, and turning down several available times, she was extremely polite and did not seem annoyed with me in the least. It's important to note, this is not a regular nail salon with rows and rows of nail techs, it is a small space with just Sandy and Melissa, two manicure tables and two pedicure chairs, it is a very nice/intimate setting. When I arrived to my appointment, I sat down in the chair right around the appointment time, which was another plus. Many times, at other salons I have visited, even if I had an appointment I had to wait. Melissa instructed me to pick my color, and let me just tell you, that was no small feat. There were tons of amazing colors and excellent brands. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I mentioned that I would be going to Disney World the following week and Sandy gave me several great ideas which I loved since I am usually a girl that picks one simple color yet, drools over other girls beautiful color combinations or nail art. I decided on doing a white color with a Mickey mouse design on my ring finger. One thing I can say is, Melissa took her time on me and I never felt like she was rushing me through. She frequently checked each nail to make sure they looked perfect and even redid the Mickey Mouse design twice when she felt like it was not looking correct. She was fantastic. A few things I noticed while sitting in the chair: I saw Sandy thoroughly clean each pedicure chair in between clients, she not only scrubbed at the basin but also wiped down the faucet and knobs, also the utensils that were used were continually placed in a disinfecting liquid. Overall it was a very sterile/clean environment. This is a great place to sit back, relax, enjoy some great music and listen to some great girl talk! At other salons I have visited you barely speak to anyone, well not at Chroma Glam, this is the type of spot that you speak to everyone there, even the other girls getting their nails done. When I said that I was going on a trip to Disney, a girl in the other chair was showing me nail ideas, and even wished me a nice trip when she left. How amazing is that? The location may be hard to find, as it is inside the Beauty Mall, which before visiting Chroma I had never been in before, but it is right above the Sergio's and Chroma is one of the first salons at the front. Parking was not an issue, there was a huge parking lot with several spaces. Since this is a small spot, and there are only 2 technicians, I highly recommend making an appointment ahead of time, however, they were able to fit me in within days of me contacting them. I do imagine though if you want a Saturday time, you would need to request in advance. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Sandy and Melissa and before I left, even made my next appointment, wanted to make sure I held that Saturday time. I am happy to say, I think I have finally found a new "nail" home at Chroma Glam!!!! read more

Great Spot! Close to home but best of all the service is on point! I had my nails done by Melissa and she wasn't only a sweet girl but also very professional! Her nail tech skills are great! She takes her time but not to the point that I'm eager for her to finish. The time she took was not long but she didn't rush it. My nails look Fab! I did a gel and regular pedi! Cost came out to be 45 which I think for her work is ideal. I will come back! I'm very happy with my choice on this spot since it was my first time and I picked it amongst other yelp nail locations. I've been going to Sandy for 5 months now. Before I was going to her I was jumping around nail places all OVER Miami. It's not only the work you put into it to look good but the products you use and technique to make it LAST. The precision/detail she has can only be found at her place. My gel can last me 3-4 weeks if I wanted to (but I try to keep it every 2 weeks LOL). Shes very nice and approachable and makes you feel at home when you're getting your nails done! I love my regular salon but it's a bit of a distance fro my home and after bringing home a micropreemie from the NICU I searched for a reliable, close location to get a much needed mani/pedi. Sandy answered my text message at 9am and had an appt available for me at 12. I was able to even bring my son because she has a quaint suite at the beauty mall and doesn't share her space with anyone. She did a great job with my hands (which were wretched from nail biting and slamming a finger in my double stroller...a story for another review) and was very sweet and understanding. Today was my first time going to Chroma and as first impressions go, it was great! Sandy was able to fit me in for an appointment on such short notice. I did my nails with Melissa, she was friendly, worked quickly and really well. Melissa and Sandy were both inviting and helpful (couldn't decide on a color lol). The salon itself was clean, quiet and I love the fact that it's so intimate. I am so pleased with the service! Horrible! I called last minute because my regular email tech was out of town & Sandy was very nice & accommodated me right away with one of her other technicians. Since this place has 5 stars, I didn't think I'd get a bad mani pedi. The tech who did my nails was slow and left my long, strong nails extremely brittle. i have no idea what she did, but I now have three broken nails and chipped gel, which rarely happens to me. (i do take care of my nails) unacceptable! extremely unhappy with this place, $50 down the drain. read more
