I have been trying to be very patient but I can't any more. Every time I call to get an update on my car I get a run around, they say they will call back but don't. I called they transferred me to a voicemail, called right back ignored my call (they have caller ID so they know it was me) called back the girl (with attitude) says they guy I need to talk to must have walked away, I said I will wait on hold until he comes back. As I was on hold I decided to drive to the shop still on hold as I walked in, and isn't it funny how the guy I was waiting for is in the office?!? I was told last week my car would be ready today, now they are saying another week! My car has been there for over two months already. Whatever you do don't go to Five star Autobody in Lancaster they fixed my car and left a buff burn in my bumper and refused to fix it they wanted to just do a 1/2 assed job and dab a little paint I had to pay to repaint the whole bumper plus color was off from the rest of the car. My family has been using Five Star for well over a decade and brought several of our cars in multiple times and have always had stellar service. This last time I brought my car in to have it repaired from someone rear ending me the experience was terrible from start to finish. First, I never received a call to set up the initial inspection or to confirm what time to bring the car. Then, after we dropped the car off to have the work done they decided they didn't want to do the work. Essentially, we were told that the car was too old and to just get a check from the insurance instead. I only had a limited amount of time to take care of the repairs, they were aware of that, they wasted a whole week of my time and the work still needs to be fixed by someone else. It was unprofessional, and justified by sheer laziness. I will never do business here again. read more

Took them a little over a week as they wanted to paint it. Okay, no problem...Now it is 7 months later and the paint is coming off and revealing what looks like oil fingerprints on the edge of the door that was painted!!! I am no expert, but I would think that you should make sure the door is clean before paint right? Worst body shop in Lancaster. Macco one day paint is way better then this place. Took my car to the shop for a bumper damage due to a gentleman backing into my car. When I came to pick up the car a week later I brought my brother who is a body man and been doing this kind of work for 20 years, said to me that this is not a good job. Tried to talk to the service man but he just walked away from us. Went back in cause a friend of mine told me my number was falling off. So I looked and it was. Took it back and I was told I cause the damage. I hit something and I'm the one who broke it. How is it that I had the oem bumper for 8 years and nothing happened to it but 3 months later a crap after market bumper is bad. It never lined up from day one. Brand new 2012 Toyota Camry. Went thru insurance to get vehicle fixed. (Geico) Took a week to complete including weekend, they are closed weekends. The final work came out good, they matched the factory paint and the damage was fixed. I received a certificate of work done which covers the work lifetime. Overall good experience! Estimate was done promptly insurance company was notified received an appointment A few days later I was called to come in and pick up the truck to my surprise there was a flaw in the paint I have taken my vehicles there before and have never had a problem unfortunately this time they missed a spot I was assured that the vehicle would be in tiptop shape and good as new so I left it A couple days later I was called and told I can come and pick it up I win in the truck was completely detailed vacuumed washed the paint job was perfect not a flaw to be found although we did have a little slip up at first five star autobody went the distance and proved why they have five stars read more

My experience here was mixed. On one hand the body work was good. They fixed the bumper, wheel well liner and blinker and it looked as if nothing had ever happened to it. Unfortunately, That is not the full story. There were some problems, too, which wouldn't have been a big deal had they not lied about it. The full story: As I was pulling out of the lot on Friday I noticed a clicking noise coming from the wheel and I noticed the rear tire (where no repairs were reported and none should have been necessary) was overinflated, 10psi above recommended, and I always inflate my tires to the recommended level. I had to go to work so I couldn't take it back in right away. Instead I included the description of the clicking noise in the survey for Geico, as they are one of Geico's preferred shops. I failed to mention in the survey the overinflation, but it didn't seem like an issue anyway. We got a call early the following week saying that we should go ahead and take the car back in. Then I got a call from my wife; she went to the car after work and the tire that had been overinflated was flat. We called Five Star to let them know we were bringing it in within a couple hours per Geico's recommendation. The attitude we got in response was infuriating. They didn't want us to 'drop in', but I would have preferred not to have to go back at all! The tire had a metal fastener stuck in it, which was clearly the source of the noise as well as the flat. When I showed the staff at five star the response was "oh, it looks like you ran something over." I told them that I suspected the fastener ended up in the tire while at their shop and the overinflation was a result. They denied ever touching the tire, and suggested maybe the pressure increase was from changing weather. The weather, even if you assumed the tire pressure was high from extended use, would not result in a 10psi difference in pressure and the Tire pros that they sent me to after this incident agreed. Nor would it have affected only one tire, and all the other tires were fine. Again, all this would have been no big deal if they hadn't lied about it and tried to cover up their mistakes. In addition, while investigating the flat tire they told me that realignment was never performed, but they assured me when I dropped the vehicle off initially that alignment would be checked and adjusted as necessary. With this, they agreed to let me take the vehicle to their preferred tire pros for alignment and repair of the tire or replacement with another used tire, free of charge. I am fairly happy with the solution, but I was displeased by the events leading up to it. The preferred tire pros were "The Tire Store" on Sierra Highway. The Tire Store was fantastic, and I will definitely leave a positive review for them next! All said and done, I was happy with the body work but the trouble we had to go through and MOST IMPORTANTLY THE LIES resulted in my Two-Star review for Five-Star Auto. Furthermore, I will not use Five-Star again, as there are plenty of competing auto shops in the area with excellent reviews and recommendations. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY!! Our insurance company brought our car here after we had a front end accident. We received the quote and costs were sent directly to our insurance company everything seem to have gone smoothly. Until we got our car...about a week later we notice the bumper started sagging and our head light wasn't positioned correctly. Followed up with a call to them..."oh yeah bring it back no problem we will fix it". Brought the car back the lady had a attitude because the original person I was dealing with wasn't there and they were short staffed due to the negligence to schedule vacations correctly. Car was "corrected" I hoped in and went home, upon getting home I notice a new dent on my door, Immediately called my insurance company about the situation. When we got together back at the body shop again (3rd time) the Manager immediately when went off on me!!! I have never been disrespected like that in my entire life.This place has the worst customer service it really goes to show once they half ass your car and got paid, they don't care about anything else especially of the quality of their work. My car is still not fixed correctly, I will once again have to take it to another body shop but never to 5 star auto body ever again. read more

Be prepared for a lot of headache and fighting to get your car fixed appropriately. As others said, they care more about the bottom line. I had to constantly argue with Mike, the manager, to get things done properly. Like a piece of plastic I had hanging from the incident. It was still hanging when I picked up the car. They charged $3200 for the front bumper, but they would not align it well or attached the piece of plastic hanging from there. They made a dent on my car and left a paInt bubble on the bumper and sprayed my rims with primer! Good luck if you are doing business here. read more

I needed a rental As it turned out, my insurance company, the repair shop, and Enterprise car rentals work in conjunction and have a business relationship. This made the whole process very easy and efficient for me. The car was only in the shop 6 days, and they did an excellent job! I returned the rental to the body shop so it minimised my running around. I was kept abreast of the repair progress via texts, and all parties involved were customer friendly.
