    Filthy cabin air filter replaced by Vic's. Air conditioning on my 1997 BMW 328i now works MUCH better!

    I have a 1997 BMW 328i. I've owned it for eight years. Out here in the Antelope Valley, it gets scorching hot and hot weather days are coming. The air conditioning has never worked as well as I thought it should. Last year, when I moved to this area, I really suffered while driving. I took the car into Vic's for diagnosis and repair The problem? This cabin air filter. Had I known there was such a thing, I would have had it replaced years ago. My guess is it was never replaced. Filthy, huh? All that gunk blocked the air flow. Everything else in the a/c system is operating correctly (a bit surprising, given the car's age). The air blows like a monster now, like three times more volume. I'm ready for summer. This is an honest shop. A dishonest shop would have been able to claim there were other problems, things that would be expected in an old car. Thank you, Vic & Company!

    Engine Stability mount bolt!

    Good day to all you Beemer fanatics!:-) Day 1: I took my 2013 750LI to Vic's to get my 100K servicing done,which I thought would be simple, easy, and painless, due to it just being servicing. I was told to drop the car off at 9 a.m.,and that it would be ready before closing, which for Vic's is 5p.m. Being the punctual person that I am, I showed up 30 minutes early just to be safe and courteous. When I arrived, to my surprise and dismay, the car was in the maintenance stall with only part of the servicing completed and still on the lift. Of course I was taken aback by this, due to what was conveyed to me by Amelia and the receptionist. Here I stand, thinking that my car is going to be ready, and it wasn't even close! Amelia comes out to talk to me about the delay stating: "He's not going to be done today. Come by tomorrow about the same time, and it'll be ready. At this point, I politely asked about the bill, at which time Amelia and the receptionist has two totally different quotes!I say to them both,"here's what I was quoted a few days ago($960)." At this point, I just said " it's late, we'll discuss it tomorrow." Next, I was asked-"Do you have a way to get home?" At this point I'm "shaking my head" going really?! Then she offers up a rental car from Enterprise, which was an experience of its own. Day 2: Vic's calls me with an "Up" around 1p.m. to say that "I need a brake service and flush, which was $150," which I agreed to get done. Then I was called again a few hours later with some other issues which I declined. I called around 4 p.m. to ensure things were going as planned, which they stated that we were good for the 5 p.m. pick up. I arrive at 4:30p.m.,and the car is sitting out front looking like it had just went through a dirt car wash, which I wasn't expecting, since my friend had so highly recommended them(due to his car being detailed after he picked it up from Vic's!). I was in shock at the way my car was left open and filthy as if I wasn't paying for a service at a PREMIUM price. Also, there were a few items that weren't installed and just left sitting under the hood. I have photos, but don't know how to load them. If I could give them a "0" rating I would. Oh,the final bill ended up being almost $1200. If you're looking for a reputable place to take your Beemer, Vic's ain't the place! These are all the "Facts!"

Background and Initial Service: My vehicle's transmission was rebuilt a few months ago by a different authorized ATRA shop. Due to a recent move, the original shop authorized me to bring the car to this affiliate location, a 30-mile drive from my new home, for a warranty diagnosis. Upon drop-off on 11/18/2025, the front desk employee immediately became cold and dismissive when I mentioned the words "warranty repair." The Issue & The Refusal to Diagnose: The problem is specific and reproducible: when the car is cold, driving downhill causes the transmission to shift into what feels like neutral. Pressing the gas results in rising RPMs but no movement, forcing me to shut the engine off and restart it to re-engage the drive. After two days, I received a call informing me they could not reproduce the issue and were refusing to work on the car. I explained to Miguel that the condition requires a cold start and a specific downhill coast, asking them to try again or keep the car longer. He flatly refused any further testing, stating they were done with the vehicle. Integrity Violation and Fraudulent Documentation: Since they refused to honor the warranty, I requested a written reason for the denial of service, which is standard procedure. Miguel went to review my paperwork. When he returned, he presented a form and demanded I sign it before he would provide any written explanation. This form was an explicit waiver where I would acknowledge that the issue I claimed was not present and that their testing proved my claim was false. I refused to sign a document that was contrary to reality, as the transmission issue is demonstrably still present. The Threat and Escalation: Because I refused to sign the false waiver, Miguel refused to give me any written denial and escalated the situation. He told me he wouldn't help me anymore because I was "not a nice person." When I stated I would write an accurate review of this unprofessional experience, he raised his voice and began threatening me: Threats of litigation. Explicit threats of physical harm to myself and/or my property at my home. Threats to contact my employer to have me fired. I immediately took my keys and walked to my car, with Miguel following me out of the office, continuing to curse and issue threats. This behavior is far beyond poor customer service; it is menacing, unprofessional, and a direct failure to honor the ATRA warranty program. The shop refused to perform due diligence, attempted to force me to sign a false legal document, and threatened my physical safety. Avoid this business at all costs. Alberto's isn't your typical automotive shop. There's no waiting room and it's kind of difficult to find. That being said, the father and son who run the shop were very nice and efficient. My husband took our vehicle in for an oil change. The price wasn't cheap, but it seemed about what other shops were quoting so it was fair. And everything is more expensive right now. It's always scary trying to find a new automotive place. We picked Alberto's because the Yelp profile said they had a waiting room and their reviews were good and they had supposedly been in business 20 years. I think their Yelp profile needs updating because they don't have a waiting room and the father told us they've been in business 2 and a half years and the son said 4 and a half but Yelp said 20 years. So we don't know what to believe, but they did a great job! :D I don't want to give the wrong impression. We would go back there again for an oil change. We prefer supporting small businesses. I just think you need to be aware of what you're getting into so you're prepared for what the experience will be so you don't judge them too harshly.

They did a free estimate first to see what was happening. It was confirmed it needed a replacement. They offered financing and it was a fast easy process. Juan worked with us and was truly and amazing experience. My car is running really strong, it's no longer stalling, jerking or acting up during a gear change. I'm truly satisfied and Juan listened to our concerns. I feel confident and my transmission has a warranty. Thank you for doing such an excellent job. Highly recommend. The repair took two days. They were really fast at this location.
