I tried to get a Smog and they told Frank's Transmission put the wrong part on my truck. He removed my original OEM catalytic converter and replace it with an offbrand foreign part and tell me he fixed what he took off my truck why would he steal my oem catalytic converter and replaced it with whatever just to get rid of me. Of course I had to pay for failed Smog and made sure I took it back into Frank's sat there all day and demanded it to be fixed today not in two plus days. I've paid more than enough for repairs that had me going back and forth like I have nothing better to do. Do It Right The First Time. And Always Over Charging Too Expensive. Apparently he is stealing parts off of the vehicles not good at all. I would never recommend anyone to that place. You will be sorry he's gonna pull something on you. read more

Fixed my transmission leak before it became a serious problem, my truck drives like new.

Had car trouble and didn't know exactly where to go. After a few disappointing experiences. I decided to check some reviews. One in particular seemed to catch my interest was Frank's auto/ trans repair. Everyone commented on their honesty and professionalism. After towing my vehicle I was contacted right away and explained what was being done. Then about 2 hrs later I was called again and surprised my problem was not as bad I expected. They gave me a fantastic price and Vince even threw in a free oil change. Bro, this is the place. They have gained a new loyal customer. Don't keep getting ripped off. Go see Frank & Vince ...........Now! read more

I own four vehicles and I have been serviced by almost every domestic car repair shop in town over the past ten years, and so I know good mechanic work versus Con games when I see it. Twice I took my Tahoe in for repair, and twice it was returnee with fluid leaks that mysteriously began AFTER my visit. While the part(s) installed may have had a Lifetime Warranty from AutoZone where Frank's Transmission would have bought them from, they then run this game where they re-sell the part to you under their own Tax ID # and which negates the original Manufacture's 1 Year Warranty in such a way to give you only a 30 Day Warranty. And so no matter if they installed the part correctly or not, by time you notice a problem, neither the labor, or the part are covered, and Frank will charge you a second time to fix the same problem. To be more specific, I took my vehicle into Frank's for a minor gasket leak in September of 2012. What started out as a single leak before I left home, suddenly became a 3 way leak by the time Frank completed his inspection. While I was there I replaced my Radiator due to a leak he detected while my Truck was raised on his car lift. I had no idea how all these leaks suddenly become so prevalent since my last visit, but now that my vehicle was not drive able on the street in it's current condition I had no choice but to agree to have the repair work done at. The total job came to nearly $900. A short while later, perhaps 1 or 2 months, I noticed that my Radiator was leaking again in the same area. After an exhaustive search for where it was originating I found a dribble of Radiator Fluid/Water coming from a stub with a rubber cap over it, held in place by clamp. So I took it back to Franks. While he inspected my radiator leak, I waited in the office. Suddenly I hear my name being called and I run out to the Garage, and I was amazed to see what was once a minor drip now has become a geyser that blasted the entire inner-hood of my Truck. I mean water was everywhere. After Frank turned off his pressure tester, he pointed to the same area where the stub was with the rubber cap and stated that the rubber cap was worn and needed to be replaced. I asked how could that be, it was a new Radiator. Perhaps he had forgotten they had just installed it. After checking the paperwork, he admitted that although I purchased the Radiator through him, the Radiator had come from Auto-Zone and that the the rubber plug was not included. He went on to say that although the Radiator came with a 1-year Manufacture's Warranty, he had re-sold the item under his business license, all parts and labor now had a limited warranty of something like 45 or 60 days. It may have even been 30. Whatever it was, I found it ridiculous that he would shorten the Warranty and not honor his work. Initially he offered to replace the rubber plug for Labor plus the cost of a new plug which he quoted to be roughly $10.00. I disagreed. Nor did I understand how any part of my Radiator could have worn out so quickly. And so I became curious about this "Rubber Plug" that he kept saying was not part of my Radiator replacement. As it tuns out, while he replaced my Radiator, he forgot to buy a Radiator Plug for a port, and so he re-used an old plug from my original Radiator. According to what I know about Automotive mechanics, they are not supposed to use old parts, especially rubber parts when replacing a new item into a vehicle. Especially if the failure of that part can result in a catastrophic failure of your vehicle when in operation. Long story/short, responsible mechanics will always utilize all new, and/or all certified refurbished parts when re-installing any item that has been replaced into your vehicle. Reason being if any part of that installation fails, then it compromises the integrity of the entire repair. In my case, Frank used an old rubber plug on my new Radiator, which he charged me $200 plus labor, without telling me. Setting me up for a recipe for disaster. If anyone knows about Hwy. 14, it is no place to breakdown with a busted Radiator. After reminding Frank that I had just spent almost $2000 over the past 6 months at his shop, he still would not budge, while pointing at his sign on the wall displaying the time limit for Refunds. Something of which I was not asking for. All I was asking for was for him to honor his work. At some point I offered to go to Auto-Zone and bring the part back myself and asked if that would save him some labor costs which be could passed on to me. He said, "No". For some he needed to go buy the Rubber Plug and then resell it to me as part of the repair under his limited conditions as outlined (above) However, if I bought the part myself.... no deal. After leaving Frank's I went straight to Auto-zone. I looked up the model of Radiator Frank had installed. To my surprise the plug was $0.99 cents. As I drove home I realized, I never needed a new Radiator to begin with read more

First of all great customer service. The gentleman on the front desk is friendly and knowledgeable. I went there for a transmission oil change and they had it ready in less than two hours. Once my car was done Frank came over to hand me the keys and gave me thanks for the business.I can't complaint about my experience everything went smooth and plan to go back again. read more

I found Frank's through a couple referrals from friends. Since then I have had them do a few transmission jobs on my company trucks. The most recent job was a repair on a transmission that was slightly out of warranty from a rebuild they did a year prior. Frank made the repair and covered it under the warranty. I appreciate his honesty and anybody who will stand behind their work like that has my business for life. I will continue to refer Frank's to anyone looking for a quality transmission shop. THANKS FRANK! read more

I have to say that Frank is the best, most kind mechanic I've found and had the pleasure of meeting. My husband and I have a small buisness and when the transition in our work van went out we called Fank. He had us towed to the shop, rebuilt our transmition, serviced the vans oil and fluids, and checked for any other potential complications, and had us back on the road in 3 days! Never have I ever had such fast and through work from a mechanic. Frank really cares about the people in this town and the vehicles they drive. I now take all of my cars (and vans) to Frank. The man is and mechanic god and I send all my family and friends for their vehicle needs to Frank. Thanks Frank you have been a blessing to me, my husband, and 661 mobile detail! read more

Horrible service, The guy Frank is nice while he's receiving money, then he keeps your car hostage for weeks at a time, when you ask about it he becomes rude and makes excuses to charge MORE, if you don't pay him more, he says he will leave it as is and there will be no guarantee. Hes a TOTAL Con Artist . YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. read more

Frank is a good dude! Moving forward I will take my vehicles to him and recommend my family and friends.

Mechanic came highly recommended within the automotive community. I had an issue that a couple mechanics wanted to change me an arm and a leg as well as my first born, when I bought it to Frank himself he was more than fair honest and took the time to explain to me the importance of getting work done that was precisely the root of my problem without having to do unnecessary work just to get extra money. His ethics alone are the real reason I will be bringing my vehicles to his company for all of my service needs. Frank and his staff provide you with a sense of comfort that their work is honest and professional to ensure it is done right the first time. read more

Friendly customer service, Frank goes out of his way. I had to bring back my car, frank had no hesitations just got the job done. It is hard getting in and out due to the amount of cars on lot. read more

Ive been to many mechanics around the AV and nobody takes care of you like Frank. Whatever your car issue is he makes double sure thats the problem before he starts any work, most other mechanics would repair the problem then " Find " another issue which kinda puts you on the spot right away to get it fixed and spend more money, frank on the other hand checks every possibility before hand saving you even more money!!! plus if you need a ride to work ( granted its not too far away ) he will have one of his friendly mechanics give you a ride ( in a comfy car, not a bucket that might burst into flames lol ). I highly recommend you talk to frank before hiring another mechanic, guy from craigslist or your buddy with 2 yrs exp to get the job done right the first time and a very fair price. read more

I was referred to Frank by my farther because I was leaking transmission fluid. I didn't want to move my car because I didn't want to further damage my transmission. I called Frank and he had it towed to his shop while I was at work for a flat $50 fee through his towing guy, He called me every step of the way and explained everything to me that was going wrong. I ask a lot of question because I am female and I am always afraid they will over charge me. My car is running great now and he even offered to drop it off at my home while I was at work so I didn't need to find a ride to pick up my car. Thanks Frank much appreciated! read more

My wife's 2000 Honda Pass Port was not upshifting and downshifting correctly, and the transmission shop (Valley Transmission) referred us here because their analysis said we had a bad Mass Air Flow sensor. These folks got us fixed up (they showed us the burned up MAF sensor) and the truck runs better than it has for years - and that random engine trouble light doesn't come on anymore ! They fixed it right the first time - for a few bucks less than their estimate ! We keep their business card on our fridge door - mechanics that fix it right the first time are rare in this world. To me, the best recommendation is that we will only take our cars to Frank's for work - you don't mess with success ! read more
