Due to a recent move, the original shop authorized me to bring the car to this affiliate location, a 30-mile drive from my new home, for a warranty diagnosis. Upon drop-off on 11/18/2025, the front desk employee immediately became cold and dismissive when I mentioned the words "warranty repair." The Issue & The Refusal to Diagnose: The problem is specific and reproducible: when the car is cold, driving downhill causes the transmission to shift into what feels like neutral. Pressing the gas results in rising RPMs but no movement, forcing me to shut the engine off and restart it to re-engage the drive. After two days, I received a call informing me they could not reproduce the issue and were refusing to work on the car. I explained to Miguel that the condition requires a cold start and a specific downhill coast, asking them to try again or keep the car longer. He flatly refused any further testing, stating they were done with the vehicle. Integrity Violation and Fraudulent Documentation: Since they refused to honor the warranty, I requested a written reason for the denial of service, which is standard procedure. Miguel went to review my paperwork. When he returned, he presented a form and demanded I sign it before he would provide any written explanation. This form was an explicit waiver where I would acknowledge that the issue I claimed was not present and that their testing proved my claim was false. I refused to sign a document that was contrary to reality, as the transmission issue is demonstrably still present. The Threat and Escalation: Because I refused to sign the false waiver, Miguel refused to give me any written denial and escalated the situation. He told me he wouldn't help me anymore because I was "not a nice person." When I stated I would write an accurate review of this unprofessional experience, he raised his voice and began threatening me: Threats of litigation. Explicit threats of physical harm to myself and/or my property at my home. Threats to contact my employer to have me fired. I immediately took my keys and walked to my car, with Miguel following me out of the office, continuing to curse and issue threats. This behavior is far beyond poor customer service; it is menacing, unprofessional, and a direct failure to honor the ATRA warranty program. The shop refused to perform due diligence, attempted to force me to sign a false legal document, and threatened my physical safety. Avoid this business at all costs. They are operating out of a residential address at the moment, but were happy to guide me when I called to ask for clarification because I couldn't see any signage. During the consultation, they walked me through everything, explained how the brakes work and what could be causing the noise. I felt like I had a good understanding how what was going on. They ended up giving me a fair estimate so I went ahead with their service. Despite dropping off the car around 1pm the day before Thanksgiving, they gave me a call on Thanksgiving to let me know it was actually the rear brakes instead of the front so they'd need an extra day to get the parts because of the holiday. They called me around 1pm on Friday to pick it up. Brakes are now great and no squeaking! Paid about $380. Did notice about a $20 difference in hourly labor costs from the estimate at time of pay, but all good. Overall, Alberto and his son are fair and honest. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area!

I've been in the automotive industry for 10+ year I've installed over 75 of this exact transmission never without a problem. I recently within the last 3 year made a switch to heavy equipment and just didn't have the time to do the work myself. I removed my transmission out of my Tahoe took it in to do a exchange and I good transmission which the supposed to of have in stock. After waiting for a couple hours I was informed they did not have the trans I needs so I needed to come back and get it at a later day. That was strike one. So when I finally got my trans back I installed it. Drove around for a bit maybe 10 miles or so. The next day I decide I'm gonna take it to work (30 miles away). Well on the way to work I lost 4 gear. So I called and let him know what was going on and he wanted me to bring it in. So the next day I took it in the whole Tahoe. That's strike two So he looks it over and calls me. This guy tried every excuse he could think of to put me at blame for his transmission failing. After a very heated conversation ( I told him not to touch it we would figure it out with the BBB) he tell me he's gonna fix it "and if I wanted to pay him for the extra repairs he was gonna do then that's fine if I didn't that was fine too". So after a week or so it's done. So I go in to get it and it was another 500-600 bill. So I paid it after all he did do the work so I felt it was only right even tho it was his trans that failed within 40 miles. Strike three So here we are 6 and 18 days later and guess what? It failed again. So my wife calls just to find out with they would honor any kind of warranty. The guy gets on the phone being super disrespectful and angry. And surprise surprise he will not honor his work. Pretty much told us to bad it's not my problem anymore. So please people for the love of god do not take your vehicles to this shop. Mark my words you will regret it. For all the money I ended up paying this guy for the shotty work and now I'm gonna have to buy another trans I could of bought a brand new trans from GM.
