By far my favorite place to get a burger in Reno. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger all the way which includes two full size patties. I got the little bacon cheeseburger which includes only one patty. I really like to go to Five Guys for their variety of toppings on their burger. My favorite burger consist of lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, and barbecue sauce. For the two of us we were able to split an order of regular fries which is plenty. We always get the cajun fries that have a Cajun seasoning on them they are delicious. I really like the soda machine they have there... It's Coca-cola brand and and they are the only place I know in town that has Mr Pibb zero which is my favorite! Wow. Just wow. Ordered 2 burgers and large fries. Burger was lathered in mayo, falling apart. Fries were 1/2 full and overly coated in seasoning where no one could eat them. Such a disappointment having been to the original in Virginia. Fries should be overflowing into a separate bag. Not all in one bag and hardly filled to the mid-level of the cup. Went in for my first time because my boyfriend LOVES this place. Upon first walking in, I wanted to turn around and leave. This place was loud, bright, full of kids and messy. I didnt realize this place was a fast food restaurant. The floor was littered with trash. We get into line. The wait was not long at all. The young man up front was nice and friendly. The food was fast, we didnt wait long considering it was so busy. I would most def go back. You get a lot of food. Good price fir the amount of food. Tastes so good. Maybe it is just the newness of serving only pick-up and to-go orders, but our dinner was disheartening. OK, it was bad... Even though they claim they won't make the fries or shakes until you arrive for on-line orders, the fries were cold before I got one out as I headed for the door. They had clearly been out of the fryer for some time as I did not see them drop them and was there for nearly 5 minutes before receiving my order. The grilled onion were barely even slightly translucent. Really just warm onions, not grilled to any degree. Same with the mushrooms. barely warm. We had them "wrapped" in lettuce plus regular lettuce, but that was a joke. a couple partial pieces that barely covered each side and impossible to pick up and use as buns. Did I mention the cheese wasn't remotely close to melted. Oh, and they forgot the "extra" cheese and added that as another nearly cold slice on top... Please keep in mind we went there during lunch 1250 pm on a Friday. When we walked in from the back of the building, I felt lost. There are a bunch of tables that you have to maneuver around to get to the order line. Once we got to order, we had to work our way around the maze of tables to get to the drink machine. It was relatively loud and had an overall busy feeling. We ordered two regular drinks, shared a medium size fries, a regular cheeseburger and a little cheeseburger for the price of about $23. Although the price was a little high, the quality was there. The burgers were seasoned well and although the fries were not "crispy" but more like natural style, were salted just right. My husband LOVED the burger and it was good enough to eat again. My only knock was the layout and set up, totally not conducive to a good flow for customers ordering, paying or for those sitting and trying to enjoy their food without a ton of people walking around them. My teen son and I thoroughly enjoyed our first time at Five Guys Burgers and Fries! He now wants to go there often. ;) He ordered a Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Bar-B-Que Sauce and several of the free toppings. I had a Cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, mayo, tomatoes, relish, and onions served on a bed of lettuce. They do not have any gluten free buns, but they can make your burger on the bed of lettuce like I got or as a lettuce wrap. Done on a bed of lettuce made it like a gourmet salad that just so happens to be topped with an amazing burger with lots of toppings. We also ordered the fries (that serve 2-3). These were wonderful, too. It was a special evening, so we went ahead and ordered shakes. You can have up to 3 flavors for no extra charge. They were not really large, but definitely large enough since we had so much food...lol I had mine with chocolate, peanut butter, and strawberry. It isn't like a side by side, but all blended together. This one reminded me of a yummy PBJ with strawberry jelly and some chocolate...just because. ;) My son just had one of his usual favorite shake flavors which is Oreo. He liked his a lot, too. If it is your first time there, they can explain their menu to you and how to order. It's important to know the sizes of the fries before ordering. Great fries!! Hand cut skin on. Malt vinegar for them yay! Cajun style fries OMG!! All good! Great real beef burgers with all the extra grease. HUGE selection of toppings made easy by "all the way" which includes all the basics and mushrooms. Great shakes including malts! I have never been to a Five Guys anywhere, but people rave about it, so of course I had to finally try it out. We stopped in a couple weeks ago for "linner" and a fuel up before grocery shopping. I'm glad we let the guy at the counter explain how the menu worked, because I would have ended up with way too much food if I just assumed I knew what I was doing. I ordered the little cheeseburger and added on mayo, grilled mushrooms, pickles, grilled onions, and ketchup. The little burgers are 1 patty and about the size you would expect of a normal-sized hamburger. All of the toppings are free. We also ordered a little size of the cajun fries, which is a good size for 2 people to share. Our food was ready in a pretty decent amount of time, not quick enough to know that everything was pre-made, but not so slow that you're wondering what you're waiting for. I really enjoyed the hamburger, and I'm sure your toppings make a difference. I kind of regretted not getting a bacon burger and not adding jalapenos - next time! The fries were pretty good, but I think I'd probably opt for the plain ones next time. Overall, a solid choice when you're in the mood for quick burger. read more

Five Guys is the only burger chain I eat at anymore. The location in Reno has only been open a short time, but it runs like a well oiled machine. The fries taste like real potatoes, unlike the cardboard tasting strips of potato sold at in-n-out. The burgers are juicy and the condiments are fresh. I go all the way and add grilled green peppers, grilled jalapenos and A1 on my burgers. My only complaints are, if you get it to go, it will not be as good 20 minutes later and the Reno location oversalts the fries. The drink machine is awesome read more

Oh man... they messed up our order royally on January 1st. I ordered online via the app as our flight landed. Received confirmation of our order that said it would be ready in 11 minutes. We hustled to Five Guys and waited over 30 minutes more for our order. Fries were good, but for 2 large orders, they were a little light. 2 of our 5 burgers we ordered were correct. 3 were way off, missing cheese and bacon, and we ended up with an extra with bbq sauce that we fed to the dog. Not sure what happened. Five Guys is usually spot on and our last several visits have been great. There were a bunch of kids working that night and one was quite rude when I asked the status of our order. In addition the 2 milkshakes we ordered were only 2/3 full and we again had to wait and then ask for whipped cream and the coke we ordered. Overall time from placing the order to receiving the whole order was 50 minutes! Yikes! We love Five Guys, so please fix these issues! read more

Customers come in without masks and no one tells them to mask up or leave. No indoor seating, which is fine, but the outdoor seating is filthy. I do believe that, overall, the burgers here are better than In-n-Out. Is it my favorite burger place? No. Here's what I like about the place: 1. Lots of options for toppings (mushrooms, onions, peppers, bacon, etc). 2. Delicious, hot fries made from really fresh potatoes cut right there in the restaurant. 3. Burgers not cooked until you order them. 4. A fun beverage dispenser machine with dozens of refreshing drink options. Here's what I don't like: 1. Being a chain, I expect the quality to be fairly consistent but it's not. Sometimes it's awesome sometimes is crappy. 2. It's pretty pricey for fast food ($17 for bacon cheeseburger, reg fries and small drink). That's it. The pros outweigh the cons for sure but the cons are biggies, especially when you get a raw burger. Last night when we ate here my burger was literally raw in the middle. I did tell one of the workers though and they made me another which I brought home and put in the fridge but I'm kind of grossed out by it. I'll probably go back but it will be awhile. read more

Hands down the best burger franchise joint I've tasted so far. This beats In N Out Burger by far in my opinion. I like that there are numerous choices to pick for toppings on your burger and it's no extra charge! I got a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, ketchup and pickles. Other condiments are mustard, mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, jalapenos, A-1 steak sauce, etc... The potatoes are fresh hand cut fries. There is a sign in the front that tells you where the potatoes came from for that day. Usually it's from the Idaho area. There are also a box of peanuts you can help yourself to if you are waiting for your food. The Coke machine was awesome! Different flavors of Coke and it's other products that you use a touch screen to get it to work. You can mix and match sodas and make unique sodas. There is even an app for your phone to work the machine to make which drink you want. The most impressive thing was that this is the first fast food joint where they come around and ask you how you are doing and how your meal was. Very friendly service and vibe. read more

If you want a pretty good burger and well seasoned fries, go to Five guys. The great debate is In n Out versus Five Guys but in terms of quality and amount, I think Five Guys takes the win. Their burgers are decently sized, leaning on the hefty side. They're also fully customizable and not to mention DELICIOUS! However my favorite thing is that they offer Cajun seasoned fries. By far my favorite! I honestly need to go to Five guys more often because I feel like they are very underrated and deserve a lot more recommendation. read more

It has already been a busy day of last minute Christmas shopping. Is it Christmas yet? Atmosphere - Just like other Five Guys, they fit them into the space, typically a strip mall. This place was a Marie Callender's divided into 4 units. The place is very visible but a pain to get into unless heading East on S. McCarran. They also have another quality burger joint across the street, Red Robin. Potato sacks line the path to the registers, each labeled proudly of the farm they game from, and a chalk board indicating where the fries came from today near the register. Not like it matters to me as I do not know one farmer from other, but it reminds you someone worked hard to get you your food. Food Drinks - They have the billion dollar multi-flavor soda machines from Coca-Cola. I went with a straight Coke, what a waste of technology. Appetizer - None. My Main Course - I had a fast food cheeseburger for $6.59 with the works, the works part is free. You get two patties which the board does not indicate, really should. Part of the works that I was impressed by was the two thick slices of fresh tomatoes, which added to the juiciness of the burger. Dessert - None. Service - Our cashier waived us over to her. First thing she asked is if we have been here before and if we have any questions that she can answer. Very friendly, she asked if were from the South as my wife ordered two pops, found out her dad uses that term for soda. My first time trying Five Guys was this afternoon. They've been here in Reno for a bit now but I never managed to get to that area of town when I was needing to eat as well. Today I finished up with a dr appt and was heading home when I decided it was a good day to grab a burger bowl and head home to check out what all of my Keto Buddies have been raving about. I LOVE that they offer the burger bowl and have so many keto friendly options for them. It was quite filling and quite delicious. Such a fresh burger. I'm definitely going back but I would really love if they opened a location in Sparks. Preferably at Legends. It would be an excellent location for a new location fingers crossed!! read more

It was unbelievable how long it took to get our food!! We placed our order at 6:23 and received it at 6:47. We've eaten at five guys several times before at various locations, and have never had to wait this long for our order. I understand that now with COVID a lot of people our placing online orders, however in the event that a restaurant is receiving an exorbitant amount, walk-in customers should be made aware of the delay so they have the option to go somewhere else. Or better yet, work on a system that prioritizes walk-ins so that customers can get in and out more quickly. I mean, it has to feel uncomfortable having guests give you a death stare for twenty minutes while they're waiting for their burgers and fries. Am I right?? read more

In all honesty, Five Guys is not that good. The food quality is poor and extremely high priced. If you truly want a good burger place that is reasonably priced I would check out In n Out or Scoopers over this place. The staff is nice but not very friendly. They seem very shy, focused, and just want to get your food out so you can leave right away. Now, the food. The buns are typically soggy as soon as you get them because of how much grease is on the patty alone. On the burger, the veggies seem old. They are wilted and are also soggy. The cajun fries are OVERLY seasoned. It literally will take the breath out of you if you inhale them. It's truly disappointing and I know this place could have potential but I don't recommend. First time in, I drive by it all the time, but rather than going into Chipotle, we opted for Five Guys. Clean, somewhat crowded at noon, decor is, well, I'm not sure how I'd describe it, other than bags of potatoes on the floor. Fuddruckers comes to mind. Line in to order, and it's burgers and fries. I say if you do something really well, you don't need a huge menu. They do burgers REALLY well. They do fries exceptionally well. The burger was big, it was juicy, it was perfectly cooked. It was wrapped in foil, to keep all the juiciness from dripping all over. Just the right amount of lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. The fries had the skin left on, the small order was enormous and we couldn't eat all of the fries there were so many. They were crispy and delicious.
