I got the works, and it was soooooo delicious. I thought having a tiny Parmesan cheese was weird but it actually was great. The onions were grilled to perfection and of course the bacon wrapped hotdog. They also added some ham and of course all the condiments. The service was very nice. Hotdogs tasted like it was microwaved- not even fully cooked, small hot dogs, and you don't get your money's worth. I took a bite and gave it to my boyfriend because it was gross. Great hotdog, loved how they tried to be creative with the traditional street dog formula. Jalapeño pico was delicious and the avocado sauce was fantastic. I loved the little bit of spice on the dog. My only critique would be to salt the caramelized onions a bit more because they didn't have as much flavor as I thought, I did those at home myself and it elevated the dog a ton. I also would prefer a more crispy bun rather than the steamed bun. Other than that such a local gem and it was great to stumble upon this! I've been following them for years. Currently, they usually post up on pyramid by Big O tires on the nights of Thursday through Sunday. Sonoran style dogs, but you can customize if needed. I recommend getting everything. Great service and always super friendly. Tonight, they were busier than normal, which I see as a great thing, so we had no issues waiting. I Happened to be driving home the other day and spotted them setting up on Pyramid, took a note and went there for a bite last night. They're pretty popular so be ready to wait at least 20 minutes for your order, especially if they're busy which they seem to be around the clock. The wait is worth it though! Their service, as always, great and friendly! The food itself, so full of flavor and interestingly enough, you taste a bit of everything in every single bite. If you're kosher, this place isn't for you. All they serve are hot dogs wrapped in ham and bacon (such a delicious combo). If you don't like spicy, be sure to let them know as they add a green sauce, jalapeños and a "serrano toreado" (grilled serrano pepper) on top. read more

They add grilled, caramelized onions, ham and cheese, and wrap the sausage in bacon. All the flavors mixed together is heaven in your mouth! After speaking with the owners who are also husband and wife, I was really impressed by their story. They've been selling these hotdogs for 12 years now and it's always the two of them working. You can tell that they actually enjoy doing this by the satisfaction they get when they know their customers leave happy. I have only been to Amy's one time, so far. It was kind of late the other night and it hit the spot. My son ordered a really basic dog with just the bacon, ham, and cheese. I had all the toppings except the jalapenos. Basically, the dogs are wrapped in bacon and then there are several toppings that make them even more unique. I cannot remember how much they cost. I do remember, though, that it was a bit pricey for hot dogs, but not too pricey as long as you are not buying several. If I remember correctly, it was a little over $14 for the 2 hot dogs and one coke. Amy (I am assuming was the one serving us) was wonderful! Really nice and great customer service. My first time to try Amy's Hot Dogs and my first thought was why did I wait so long! Upon arrival I was contemplating what kind of dog I was going to order but they made that choice easy as they offer only one style.
