I'm always surprised by the amount of fries they load in even when you order a small fry. This time around I also ordered a Oreo milkshake and it was the perfect combo. The service is quick and they were very busy too. It's been years since I've had Five Guys since I tend to go to In N Out, but my family wanted Five Guys. For 6 of us it cost over $140! So it's definitely on the pricier side. I had a cheeseburger with lettuce, Tomato, grilled onions, mayo, and ketchup. It was very good. Didn't realize they came with two patty's. Unfortunately the bun got soggy and fell apart quickly. Next time I'd get the sauce on the side. Id also add fresh onions. The regular fries were good and the large size gives you a massive serving. We weren't a fan of the Cajun fries as they were quite salty. The shakes here are much better than In N Out. read more

We had a couple of errands to run at lunchtime on a Friday and not a lot of time. We were going to try out the new Chick-fil-A but the parking lot was completely full and there were other options very close. (We have been to Chick-fil-A before and anticipated it to be very similar.) We have also been to Five Guys and expected them to be similar as others. We also expected it to be less busy than the nearby recently opened Chick-fil-A. We found parking and walked in. It was about 12:15pm. There was a line of about 10 people, the dining area was pretty full. They have peanuts near the door, a scoop and containers to put them in. Nice snacking touch for waiting in line. The line moved very fast and we were at the counter very quickly. The menu is very simple and basic. We placed our orders, filled our own drinks and had a seat to wait. We both ordered the little bacon cheeseburger with various toppings and decided to share an order of fries. Our order number was called very quickly, we picked it up and returned to our table. It makes it easy that they number the outside of the sandwiches to match the receipt. The order was also accurate considering the various toppings. The burgers and fries were all very good. Five guys is the new In 'n Out, for me anyways. I still like In n Out's fries but the fries at Five Guys is really good and they give generous portions of them. They use what looks like soda cups not the traditional French fry box. They fill the cup, put it in a paper bag and then add heap of fries to top it off. I used to get the Large for me and my kids but we never end up finishing them since there's a lot so we just get the "Little" size fries which is just right. read more

Came here for lunch and it was really good. I came here at sorta a weird time it was 2:30 in the afternoon. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger with toppings and also the Cajun fries. Both of them were the small size but way more than enough. I got my order pretty fast which was nice. The burger was exactly how I wanted it. It tasted fresh and was very flavorful. The fries which I ordered the small size came with a ton of fries. The Cajun seasoning was spicy but not overwhelming at all. They were also crispy which is how I love my fries. I also might have indulged in the peanuts too. : ). Normally Five Guys is a solid 3 star burger, good enough for a quickie, but definitely not on the menu if you're willing to go somewhere that serves a real burger and don't mind waiting for a while. I could get 2 burgers with fries there for the money I spent here. They skimped me on my fries. My fries were not hot and not seasoned as I asked. I ordered them salted with just a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning. I received overseasoned Cajun fries that were barely warm. I guess I'm being a little nitpicky with this, but this is how I've always ordered from 5 Guys. I usually get a cup heaping with fries and an extra scoop covering the burger. I didn't. I finished them off after driving a few blocks. I'm used to them lasting at least several miles. The burger was typical 5 guys except the prices have gone up considerably in the last decade. I ordered it with extra mayo and mustard, which was barely even there. They did put a nice serving of bacon on there, so no complaints with that. I've never had to ask for extra grilled jalapenos, but apparently you need to here. In the past I went to Five Guys two or three times a month. I had not been there for two years. I went there yesterday. Cheeseburger, fries and a drink, almost $20.00, ridiculous. I can go to Chilies or Applebee's and get the same for $11.00 and it is served on a plate, not in a bag. Five guys should be able to serve a good cheeseburger, fries and drink for $9.00 or less to get me back there. Their french fries are some of the best in town, and they jam pack your bag full of them, which is perfect because it's tough to stop poppin em into your mouth! So why the 4 stars? Well... there was a long period of time where this restaurant was woefully inconsistent, sometimes the burgers would be way too overcooked to the point of being borderline inedible, sometimes the patties would be undercooked, making them feel wet and mushy in our mouths. During this period the employees were very unkind, we always felt like we were ruining the employees day by simply showing up. While this is no longer the case, things have improved vastly over the past few months, the quality has become more consistent and the employees seem nice. But there's always that thought in the back of our minds "what if this burger sucks again, what if we spend another 30 bucks on another mismanaged meal" it really soured our experience. Should things take a turn for the worse again, this place would drop down to a 3 star rating, but I'm giving them a 4 for now because they really have turned things around! I got the cheeseburger with all black letter toppings and gf got a bacon cheese dog. Five Guys, welcome to Reno. You live up to the expectations, hype and reputation. Is this a cheap garbage burger that you get for $2-$3? No...it's a fully customizable burger with not only meaty goodness but also a plethora of toppings to satisfy nearly every want. The Super soda machine is great. And the fries are awesome, especially the Cajun seasoning. And just a note, the seasoning can be gotten on the side for a family that has mixed palate. I haven't ordered on line but it is an option. The one negative would be the cramped seating area. Maybe there is some sort of "business psychology" going on with the overly packed dining room. But that really is the least of my worries when I bite into this burger. I waited til the second time to do the bunless burger. It seems to normally come "bowl" style but I requested it wrap style. The Five Guys I've been to in other states, would give you fries that filled up the bag, this location barely fills up the cup. Very annoying when I know how more than 5 separate locations I've been to give you an abundance of fries. Next, it's NEVER ready on time. I always do pickup. Even before COVID-19 and not once has it ever been close to being ready to the time of scheduled pick up. By far my favorite place to get a burger in Reno. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger all the way which includes two full size patties. I got the little bacon cheeseburger which includes only one patty. I really like to go to Five Guys for their variety of toppings on their burger. My favorite burger consist of lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, and barbecue sauce. For the two of us we were able to split an order of regular fries which is plenty. We always get the cajun fries that have a Cajun seasoning on them they are delicious. I really like the soda machine they have there... It's Coca-cola brand and and they are the only place I know in town that has Mr Pibb zero which is my favorite!
