I'm rating this with one star because I can't give it a zero! I went to have dinner on Saturday, September 10 at roughly 8pm, I had my emotional support animal with me. The cashier said there are no dogs allowed. I told her that my dog was an emotional support animal and the cashier asked for me to prove it to her. It is my understanding that if you have a ESA or a Service Animal, vendors are not allowed to ask for proof. This was a horrible experience for me. I use to not like five guys, but I appreciate it now. Can't really compare these burgers to In n out, they're just two different burgers. It is more expensive but you get a lot of more toppings and it's bigger. This was an online order, it was ready on time. I got the burger in a bowl and my husband got the bacon burger, both all the way. The burgers have unlimited toppings. We usually order small fries, they are very generous with their fries and it can be shared by two people. We don't come here often but enjoy it every time. read more

Just terrible. They don't have anyone helping at the register, so you're just standing there for 15 min, mind you it's Sunday and no one is here. After ordering, i was surprised my total for just 3 burgers was 35 dollars, i should have known not to come to a place endorsed by Lebronze James. For the quality and price, I'd rather go to in n out. Waited about 25 min for our order, only to be given 1 burger, when asked for the receipt, it was kind of annoying since i just did pay 35 for them ‍. I'm just not thrilled by this place and i have the feeling that these burgers will be completely wrong and not what we ordered. Never again, and I've learned my lesson. read more

This place used to be great and never got my order wrong.. there's nothing updated about the inside except the drink machines which are sometimes out of order.. it was just blah the past couple times and the servers definitely didn't do their job. I really liked them but lately the last 2x I've gone. It's like their burgers, fries and shakes have been inconsistent with taste or seasoning Plus the price did increase too! I normally order the Little Bacon Cheeseburger, Little Fries, and a Strawberry Banana Milkshake. I had my bf order it and bring it home but the minute i opened my burger foil, it was dripping in relish juice the whole bun was soggy and if you squeezed it with ur finger, it oozed relish juice. Ok I never write reviews but this trip to Five Guys was so bad I had to leave this. First walked In place was empty only one other couple. Music was so loud I couldn't hear my wife order her food and I was standing directly behind her. They played hard rock In Spanish, just WAY to loud. Then my mask fell below my nose amd the worker from behind the counter scream ( she had to due to The disco tech going on) to Raise my mask???? Then the food Comes out and they forgot to Give my wife her shake. The next worker had to yell 3 times asking if We got the shake and if she wanted whip cream. Again due to the loud music we could her him. No wonder no one is in the place. We even recorded a video to share with our friends on how loud the place was. First , if you like to pay outrageous prices for your food, then this the place for you. I only went here because someone else in the group wanted Togo here. I bought a single patty cheese burger, small fries a Coke and a double cheeseburger for my son, he only wanted water. The bill was over $31 dollars. The Ambiance sucks, it is so loud in the store it is hard to carry on a conversation, plus the music stinks. The people working here are great and the only saving grace of this place. read more

The Habit and In and Out are really close to this location - just go there. $40 for a Little Cheeseburger a Cheeseburger a side order of fries and two drinks. Imagine how much you can buy at In and Out or the Habit (again, close to this location) for $40. It might be worth it if this location did something different from the rest. Maybe friendly wait staff and a clean restroom with some ambient music that isn't too loud but loud enough to fill the silence. NOPE. At first I can understand all the comparisons to In & Out Burger: their franchise red and white colors, motto of only using the freshest ingredients, marketing of merchandise (i.e., t-shirts, gift cards and other store accessories) and the open food prep counter and grill in full view for customers to watch the crew take their orders and prepare their food from scratch. The concept seems all too familiar doesn't it? But what makes them very different are mostly things that would favor Five Guys. PROS: The meat patties are also made from fresh ground beef not frozen, so you can be sure your burger will have flavor and is juicy. The size of beef patties, however, are double that of In & Out Burger! (The Little Hamburger here is essentially a smaller, one patty burger about the same size as a "regular" hamburger at In & Out.) Moreover, Five Guys has bacon on its menu item choices. In & Out Burger does not. And all additional toppings (which includes mayo, relish, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, Jalapeno peppers, green peppers, A-1 sauce, BBQ sauce and hot sauce) are all FREE! The fries here, cooked with much of the potato skin on and can also be ordered with Cajun seasoning, are much tastier! What is not to like? I like to order my hamburger will a slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, mushrooms and a dash of A-1 sauce. It's a fantastic burger for about five bucks! CONS: Five Guys does not make milkshakes. However, my only real gripe, but it's a big one, is that there are no combo meal options like at In & Out Burger and most hamburger chains. Burgers during the pandemic. I love burgers. & i really do enjoy 5 guys, my wife & I stopped by the other day after her physical Therapy, she shattered her knee at the beginning of this madness, has had surgery & slept on the couch for two months with the dogs. We needed a treat & figured what better than five guys, there couldn't have been a more true statement. The butgers were wonderful. Service is ok. The food comes out pretty slowly. On my most recent visit, I waited a good 20 minutes from order to food in hand. That is just a bit too long for a burger place. I would go back, but Five Guys is not at the top of my list of places I want to frequent. read more

Second time at this location. Second time it failed. This episode had the added bonus of making my wife and I sick. Cashier was friendly and attentive, thus the 2 stars. As usual, it takes about 10-15 minutes for the order to be ready. Forgiveable since they make it all fresh. My wife, my Mother-in-law, and myself each ordered cheeseburgers (the double-patty ones). Wife and I make them bacon cheeseburgers. The food comes and it's ok. They forgot our bacon, so had to go back to the counter. The meat is overcooked and they really skimped on the toppings. **Other locations do not have these problems. We eat at the restaurant. About 20 minutes after finishing, my wife and I both got very sick. Mother-in-law didn't. Literally the only difference between her burger and ours was the bacon and the mushrooms. We race home and get violently ill- I'll leave out the details. Other locations earn high stars from us, especially Fullerton. But this Orange store needs a lot of work. Never again. read more

Employees were singing along to some early 2000's music and I slid back to my graduation year in 2003. 3 days grace, lit, it was a smorgasbord. I'm guessing it was the manager at the register doing all of the screaming parts of the songs. Stopped by here to see what all the hype was about! OMG the line was out the door and down the sidewalk onto to the street! i had to wait something like 20 minutes just to order, but it wasn't bad because I was taking it all in and eating some of the free peanuts they have out! I love that you get to choose all your own toppings, making each burger a little different than the next. It's also nice that you totally see the cooks assembling your burgers, so you can see how fresh it is. It took about 10 minutes to get our order, but it was really busy, so that wasn't bad at al! The burgers here are really good. They kind of tasted like something you could make yourself at a backyard bbq, but I mean that in the best way possible. The fries were good, MUCH better than in-n-outs but kinda soggy in my opinion. I didn't try they cajun style though, i'll do that next time! p.s. the fries are HUGE get the regular and share! the main thing I didn't like here was the way the burgers were packages. The foil crushes the bun making it a little soggy and just all around unattractive to eat. Other than that though, no complaints! read more

Let me preface by saying I love Five Guys. This review has nothing to do with the quality of their food or reputations a brand. It has everything to do with the imbecile employees who were working when I attended. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be an experience like no other. The employees were lallygagging and joking with each other, like children on a playground. They stood over the grill singing and laughing as the line filled up with annoyed customers. I stood in line for upwards of 5 minutes while there were open registers and the extra employees simply stood around and watched the line grow bigger, doing nothing to alleviate the tension. Back to the others: Seeing the employees singing and skipping around the kitchen feels inappropriate for a large scale fast food joint with a visible kitchen. When I saw one "cook's" face, his eyes were barely open and glossed over, red as a cherry. The giggling "greened" giant then wiped the sweat from his brow with the same hand the spatula was in, shouting from the back "how many patties for you" as the spit flakes flew over the countertops. I'm really having a hard time understanding why this place is so expensive. The burgers are half the size of carl's jr. across the street and they have hot dogs but no onion rings? How? The burgers are mediocre. Something anyone can make at home with frozen patties. Their fries aren't all that good either. They don't have ranch...which was sad. The only positive thing about this place is that they include mushrooms in their burgers which earned them the 2 stars. I'm not gonna leave the staff out. Two gentlemen were very nice and welcoming and were extremely patient with me considering it was my first time being there and i had a lot of questions. It was my first time ever going to Five-Guys, maybe other locations are better than this, but Orange is a nice city and it's in a nice shopping center. When you walk in, it just looks like a mess, the tables and chairs were all scattered, half of them dirty. Then you get over to the ordering line and there's open bags of peanuts all over. That's nice to snack on, but who knows how long those peanuts have just been chillin there. The guy at the register was nice, but didn't really help us much as first time customers. I saw the $9 price of the regular cheeseburger, which is apparently 2 patties.. AMERICA. I asked if that came with fries and drink since it was so expensive, he said no, the fries are extra. $3.50 for a small fry! So I just decided to go with the smaller 1 patty burger, no fries, no drink - total was still close to $7. Mind you, I can get a combo at In-n-Out for that price. I was dining-in, but it didn't matter; the food came in a brown paper bag like it was for a homeless person. The burger was wrapped in tinfoil like I saved it for leftovers from the day before. They got my order wrong when I asked for no tomatoes or pickles. The burger itself was good, I would eat it again. But I would never order it again, not for the price or the experience. My friend ordered the bacon hot dog and fries for $11, he said it tasted like something he would make at home. The fries were so expensive and half of them were burnt. All the reviews on the wall must be a distraction until you order. This is one of my longer reviews, for a damn burger place. Compared to other Five Guys locations, I would have to say one of the worst experiences I've had. I think the crew was having a really bad day. Service was very slow. It took them over 30 minutes for us to receive our burgers after we ordered and added condiments we didn't ask for. Several other customers were demanding refunds because they were taking too long. One of the employees were arguing with the customer that he got what he ordered while the customer was showing her a receipt that didn't match what he was given. Music was loud and a bit distracting.
