I kind of hate that I love it here. I know there are much better non burger chains. I know they are kind of overpriced. But I absolutely LOVE their fries and their burgers are always delicious. I enjoy that you can customize your burger with whatever toppings you want without any additional charge. And that the fries are always freshly fried and packed with salt and flavor. They also offer a wide variety of milkshake flavors and you can mix and match if you choose to do so. It is always clean and bright in there. I've been there multiple different times of day and they always seem to be working on cleaning some portion of the restaurant. Even when their are long lines, the staff seem ready to take on the challenge. The one down side is that they are on the expensive side. For a fast food type environment, $20+ is a lot for one meal (if you get fries, a drink and a burger) but it really is worth the splurge from time to time. read more

Always loved Five Guys, so when we were driving home and wanted something fast but good, we stopped here. It's always been a reliably good meal. Not today, though. It started with ordering. There was a man at the register & two other people before us in line. It did not go quickly. I think the guy taking orders was new, but no one was supervising or helping him. And he kept getting stuck, so we had to wait while he went and chased down the manager. She come & answer his question then leave again. And that was repeated several times before we finally got to order. There were plenty enough people preparing the food that she could have stayed with the new person to help him. We had to ask for something to put the peanuts in. There weren't any containers like usual. It wasn't because of COVID, otherwise they wouldn't have had the peanuts out with a scoop in them. It was because they weren't stocked. After ordering, we went to get our drinks from the self-serve location. They were out of lids and straws. Had to ask the manager for some. THEN she was able to work the register so the guy could come restock. Funny how that worked. We waited a little while for our food, but nearly as long as I thought it would be considering how long it took us to order. But, like I said, there were plenty enough people preparing the food, so it went quickly. Fries were hot and my cheeseburger was good. Kiddo, however, had a problem with her bacon hot dog. There was hair on it! Needless to say, she wouldn't eat it after finding that. I would have said something, but I didn't feel like waiting forever to get another one ordered. And the poor new guy. I felt so badly for him. Manager was yelling at him for cleaning the tables because there were people waiting in line to order. Apparently she can only take orders if it means keeping her from doing any manual work in the dining room. Guess she prefers dirty tables. I'm guessing they'll be losing at least one employee soon under those conditions. I'm now having to rethink my love of Five Guys. Today's visit was unacceptable. read more

I can't believe the hype for this place. My partner and I decided to try the Five Guys in Monroeville yesterday. Upon entering, the place was a mess. Tables we not cleaned, there were fries and garbage on the floor. We thought "Ah, they're busy", but they actually weren't for the restaurant to be in that condition. We ordered two double bacon cheeseburgers, two large fries and two medium drinks. The cost was over $50! Seeing this place rated as two dollar signs is totally misleading. This place is a glorified McD's and charges prices that are higher that Burgatory (which is worth it!). We had to wait 20 minutes for our order. The burgers were great (not worth $12 though). The fries were just gross. There was so much salt on them we couldn't even eat them. Overall, not a good experience, a waste of money and we will not be trying Five Guys again. At this Five Guys restaurant, I ordered two burgers, two fries, and two drinks. The employees were friendly, and they cooked my food within several minutes. My little hamburger had soggy bread, which was probably from the toppings of fresh vegetables. The cheeseburger was huge and larger than expected, and it tasted good. The fries were a little greasy but had the right amount of salt. The total cost was $28. The restaurant has tables and chairs at which to sit, but they were closed because of the pandemic. As a result, I ate the food out in my car in the parking lot, which had plenty of parking spaces. Other items on the menu include hot dogs, sandwiches, and milkshakes, and most of the items are customizable with different ingredients. I can't say enough positive stuff about this location of Five Guys. The last time I was in, there was a small error in my order that I didn't notice until I got home. It had actually occurred once before, and so I did call just to let them know. They said the would have a $5 gift card waiting for me, which was more than the cost of the error so I was happy with that. When I came in today, they kindly got my gift card from the office. I ordered, and when I was ready to use the gift card the cashier said, "Oh no, keep that. You don't have to pay today." It was totally unexpected and really over the top. I work for a local business in Monroeville Pa (Pittsburgh). I spent several minutes on line ordering a lunch for my employees...an order that amounted to almost 100 dollars. I received a message on the app that said "we cannot complete your order you must call the store". I spent 40 minutes trying to get though. When I finally got some one to answer I told them I wanted to place an order for pick up the said...and I quote "Na....we closed" I called the location when I got home from work at 4:00pm and they indeed are open. So your "establishment" lost out on a 100 dollar order...we ended up spending that 100 dollars another local restaurant. We will never order again read more

Five Guys never disappoints. No matter which location we visit we always leave satisfied and it's no different in Monroeville. The fries are fresh and crisp, the burgers are delicious, and the shelled peanuts are always a nice snack to have when you're waiting for your food. We are huge Diet Coke fans and there's nothing better than a fountain Diet Coke from one of their Coke Remix machines. It was very clean and even has update Coca Cola dispensers that let you mix and match flavors, so try to come up with something unique. They offer burgers, hot dogs and fries. You can choose from either a hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger or a bacon cheeseburger in two sizes a "little burger" single patty burger or two patty burger. All toppings are free including: mayo, relish, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, jalapeno peppers, green peppers, A-1 Sauce, bar-b-q sauce and hot sauce. I always get a bacon cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, green peppers and bar-b-q sauce! I'm from out of town, and where I live I don't have access to a 5 guys. Already I'm a huge fan and was really looking forward to a solid 5 guys bacon cheese burger! Right away, as soon as you walk in, I was greeted by multiple staff simultaneously, which always brings a smile to my face. Everybody was up beat and very friendly! The girl at the counter misheard my order and I received a Burger with grilled onions vs grilled mushrooms. When I returned with my burger, the guy behind the counter looked so upset, but in a good way. The way that made me think he takes pride in every burger he puts together, and that one was done incorrectly upset him! Providing a consistent experience is important. This Five Guys is pretty good. The people seems pretty nice though there wasn't anything exceptional to point out. The menu is almost completely devoid of non-beef options the only options are a veggie sandwich and grilled cheese. You have to buy fries separate from your sandwich, which in this instance were very salty. The food is served in a brown bag, sandwich at the bottom and french fries right on top of it. The sandwich is ok at best, same with the service. If you are looking for a broader menu this is not the place to come to. I actually love five guys. It's one of my favorites however I won't be coming back to this location. When I get in line to order the cashier seemed genuinely annoyed. I asked if I could have a second to review the menu since I have two daughters that can be picky and I didn't want to waste my money on food they wouldn't eat. We went here today for lunch and we had an absolutely amazing meal. It's been a long time since we've had a burger so good before, we'll definitely be stopping again next time we're in the area. The staff are friendly and they are prompt with your order. Everything comes out as fresh as possible! I definitely recommend you stop by if you have a BIG appetite since the portion sizes are large (hamburger or cheeseburgers are double-cheeseburgers by default). But, we came hungry, and they delivered. PS: We left with a milkshake on the way out because they were rumored to be really good, and guess what? Yuuuup. They delivered on that too.
