I usually enjoy dining here. But tonight I had a terrible experience and probably won't return and they (management) probably won't care. I placed an online order and went to pick up my food and my drink was left out of my order. I called back to ask for a refund and the young man who answered the phone was being very short and rude. He rudely asked "you want a refund for the whole order or just the drink?" To which I replied, just the drink. I chalked it up to the place being busy although they weren't that busy when I picked up my order. He placed me on hold and then came back to the phone asking for my card number to do the refund. I asked if he was able to get that from my order and he said he needed the full card number. I proceed to give him the card number and he repeats the card number back aloud. At that point I was concerned as to maybe someone was listening and writing down my card info. You can't be too careful. So I said that's ok I'll just eat the $2.79 charge for the drink and this young man slammed the phone down in my face! I didn't even call back cause I didn't want to get out of character but this is unacceptable and terrible customer service. read more

I'm not sure what all the hype is about this place. A friend of mine and I went and got our customized burgers and fries. I wasn't impressed by the burger (which was greasy and soggy) or the fries. I'm not sure if we just went on a bad day or what, but the food was not worth the cost. read more

The customer service was good. They weren't super friendly but they were courteous. There were 10 of us in a group and they did a good job of getting our food to us very quickly. I loved the variety of options available on the two coca-cola machines. The fries were delicious! I got a bun-less cheeseburger. It was huge and very flavorful! I would give this place another star if the prices were commensurate with the food you get. The burgers are quite tasty, but the cheeseburgers are also nearly $8 a piece...with no side of fries or a drink. The bacon burgers were even MORE expensive. I do like that you can add all of the toppings that you like (grilled mushrooms and onions, etc.,) but that still doesn't make up for the price, give this is a "fast casual" restaurant (and therefore doesn't really have any ambiance at all.) The fries are awesome, and at least two people can generally split the "small" size. Maybe the $8 burger price would be justified if they at least threw in a drink. The tab for two cheeseburgers, one small fry, and two sodas was nearly $30! There are plenty of sit down restaurants in town where you can have great burgers and come out cheaper...which is really ridiculous when you think about it... read more

I am not a fan of burgers, but when I tried this place, I instantly fell in love. The burgers are cooked to perfection. The burgers are fresh and cooked to order. I got the Jr. Cheeseburger with customized topping, which costs about $5 give and take. It is on a pricier side, but worth it. The fries are okay to me. I got the Jr, but you get a lot for at least two people. You can place the order on the mobile app, and pick up within 7 minutes and eat there. It's fast and convenient. Tried their online ordering system. Don't think I will do that again. I arrived a few minutes after the time I scheduled, found that I couldn't skip the line at the register, and even after that my order wasn't ready yet. And even as I waited silently at the pick up spot I felt hidden glares from the French fry cook as she pointedly seemed to have no urgency in completing my order. A quick service no frills burger joint with not much else to offer. Mooyah is simular/ virtually identical to a 5 Guys. It appears there may be a few variations /Mooyah may have a few additional toppings. However, thats where Mooyah's advantage ends..... Crispy salty hot fresh cut fries are on tap at this location and I'm a huge fan. My order is always hot and accurately prepared. I'm uncertain as to which came first but 5 Guys has the advantage in Birmingham in number of locations as well as quality of product and overall customer satisfaction. This is the quick service burger joint of my choice. All 5 guy locations I've been to even in airports are consistent and provide an equally sound product. read more

This is a great Five Guys location. The staff is friendly and the store is consistently clean. Ordering a Little Cheeseburger with veggies is plenty for an adult. One small order of fries will easily be enough for 2 people to share. Toppings are always super fresh, and I leave highly satisfied. If the prices were lower, I would eat here more frequently. read more

Ok funny story. I am from the north(gasp) and I had never eaten at a Five Guys. We went in and ordered 3 cheeseburgers and fries. This was for 2 adults and a very skinny 12 year old. Holy cow we did not expect what we got. A regular burger at Five Guys is a double and 1 order of fries is enough for 3 people. So there we were with 3 double cheeseburgers and a huge bag of fries. Whoops. Well thank goodness it tasted great! Had leftovers for the next day. This store was very clean with a super friendly staff my burger was very tasty and not a greasy mess you usually get with large burgers. Love this place. I just orders malls now. read more

If you're looking for -- surprise! burgers and fries, you can definitely get a burger here as you want it, even veggie. An assortment of toppings and sauces. Also offers dogs (even kosher), and grilled cheese. They're always busy and the food is fresh and hot. I love how they display where today's potatoes are from. read more

I recently gave Five Guys (and this location) another try, after promptings from others that I didn't give it enough of a chance to allow it a decent review. Well, unfortunately for Five Guys my opinion hasn't changed much. Maybe if there weren't other options available it might win a few more points, but at the current moment, I'm still not a fan. The place has great customer service and speedy food, but there aren't many options for the burger - American cheese only...really? and the fries tasted like salt with a little bit of potatoes added. Disappointing b/c they're still the closest thing to Boardwalk Fries I've found, and they still somehow manage to miss the mark. And that's pretty much the story with the place IMO, incredible potential but just misses the mark. I'd much rather go to Baha Burger, which has more options, better flavor, and a less sterile atmosphere; or even Mooyah which has, well, all the same stuff as Baha, including *milkshakes*, for the price being paid at Five. I like their burgers. Good taste and good toppings. The fries are good. We had cajun seasoned and they were a bit spicy. But my problem is that the cost is really high for what you get. My husband and I both had burgers and sodas and we shared a medium fries (could have done with the small) and our bill was $27! read more

Really good burger that feel really healthy with the peanut oil they use. Their fresh, salty (the perfect salty), and tasty fires are some of the best out there. The customer there really care and you can enjoy a really good meal there. The peanuts are sometimes stale but for the most part they are good. It get a little cold during Winter/ Fall, but feels better during Summer/ Spring inside. Also if they accidently mess up your order they will gladly fix it for you because of their amazing customer service. It's kept clean and always love a good burger from here. read more

The food here is pretty good. You can get pretty much anything on your burger and it it's pretty much always hot and fresh. It's just OVERPRICED. I went in there one day and spent nearly 13 dollars at lunch for a bacon cheeseburger(single, not a double, mind you) and its just not worth it!
