We've found the best fries in bham! Whisky Foxtrot has perfectly thin, crispy fries on the outside with just enough pillowy potato texture on the inside. Think McDonald's fries but homemade and all around better. I absolutely loved the "Elvis" burger which has cheddar cheese, peanut butter and grape jelly. This sounds insane but all the flavors worked so well together. I opted for one patty instead of two but definitely could've gotten two because they're so thin - just how I like them! David got the Foxtrot burger which has two patties, cheese caramelized onions, pickle and Foxtrot sauce and he deemed it our new go to burger place. Made our first visit here tonight with friends and we were very pleased with the food and hospitality. The prices are reasonable. My wife had the Classic burger and I went with a Chili Ray Cyrus hotdog. We shared a basket of fries. The burger got high reviews and my hotdog was really good. I had to eat it with a fork. This is my teenage son's favorite burger spot in the city. He gets the Foxtrot Burger with extra caramelized onions every time! He says the meat is seasoned well. As a non-beef eater, I always opt for a side of tots, which is definitely shareable. The tater tots are always hot and fresh and they have a touch of seasoning on them too. The staff is always friendly during our visits for takeout or dine-in. There's never a big crowd when we're there, but I don't know if people don't know about this spot, but it's definitely hidden gym for burger lovers. This is a nice little burger spot. Braxton took our order. He is the sweetest and friendliest person. He helped us make our burger selections and shared his favorite with us ( it has PB&J on it). We chose the classics with bacon. I got fries and my friend got tots. Great seasoning. The fries are hand cut there and cooked just right. The portion of fires and tots was huge! The place is a little bit dark, and has a definite 1990s atmosphere. We were here for lunch and they really loved our burgers and the fries are amazing. Oddly, my wife and the hostess were the only two females in the store the entire time we were here. A large number of gentlemen in their 40s, most apparently service workers, came in for lunch. So this is one of the neater places we've eaten at. It's about 25-30 minutes away from Montevallo, but on the way home for us, so we decided to take the drive to this "dive." The decor is cool. Has an old school pinball machine and video game, movie posters and antique signs. It's just a neat place to sit and eat. And speaking of eating, we ordered the Say Cheese, which is an all-beef hot dog covered in Mac and cheese, which is also very good. I had the Chili Ray Cyrus. Same all-beef hotdog covered in chili, cheese sauce, and onions. T had the Blueprint burger. Double patties and also delicious. What's interesting is that the burger and the hot dogs came on Hawaiian sweet roles. Yes, the hot dogs also, but not in a hot dog bun. They take three sweet rolls and make a hot dog bun out of them. Ok, this is a new spot to me in this area. I found it on the Birmingham's Own app. We were seated immediately and greeted as well. The selections of burgers and hotdogs were amazing! They use wagyu beef for the burger and the hotdogs are all beef also. Once you make your order, it doesn't take long to get your food. I had the foxtrot which had caramelized onions, pickles, cheese, foxtrot sauce and two nice size burger patties. The burger came out sizzling and oh, the hand cut fries were just as hot. The entire meal was outstanding!! The foxtrot sauce is a great compliment to the meal. If you want a really good burger and some great hand cut fries then you need to make your way here. Stopped by here on the way back home from the beach (8 hour car ride). Needed a good burger and cold beer, and that's exactly what I got. The Foxtrot burger (I added tomato) was hot, fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious. They also had hand scooped ice cream. Great decor as well! This would have been a 5 star experience but the service was a little strange. I have no problem with the order at the register type place, but the cashier seemed almost embarrassed to talk to me. Once she brought out the food, I asked for chipotle aioli for my sweet potato fries () and I guess she forgot which one I wanted so she had another young woman bring me horseradish aioli. I let her know I didn't need the horseradish aoili, which she still sat on the table. She then brought me the chipotle aioli, which was delicious. I never saw our original girl again.
