Top quality burgers. They make a meal. Save money and only order fries to share. The free peanuts are there if you're still hungry. The burgers remind me of the way hamburgers tasted 50 years ago. I have always liked stopping at Five Guys on occasion for a decent burger and fries. This last trip will make me think again. TheSign says juicy and well done burgers but there was no juicy to my last burger and very well done. For about $5 I got a 1/4" thick piece of meat about the size of a silver dollar on a oversized bun. All the burgers my family ordered were the same. Think times have changed a little since my last visit. I give it a two star rating because the fries were very good. read more

Good burgers, lots of yummy toppings, and great fries. I also love the free peanuts. Once in awhile you will get a burger that has sat on the fryer too long, but for the most part they're purty good - a step above a typical fast food burger, but maybe not as good as a home made one. One thing to note though, never get the large fries unless you have 17 people with you to help you eat them. They basically fill a paper sack with fries and I end up throwing some of them away. So if you have 16 people or less in your party get the small fries to share. Oh yeah, parking in this shopping center can be a pain sometimes. Just park in the first spot you see an walk. As many before me have said, this place is very good! The toppings are great and is about as fresh as you are going to get at a burger joint. When ordering go for the small everything. The small burger is one patty and plenty. The small fries could feed a small army and free refills on the drinks. The jewel is the tea machine. You can select from various sweet tea options and this is wonderful! Then waddle back to work and slip into a nice food coma for the rest of the day! read more

Five Guys for the most part are fairly standard, you go to one you have been to all. Or so I thought. I guess I have just been lucky and gone to Five Guys where there is a standard of service and food. That all changed about 10 minutes ago when I got home and saw my 'food'. Five Guys I feel is known for the abundance of fries you get. I always order a regular fry because I know it is more then enough for two people. That is what we got going in tonight. Upon getting home and opening my bag imagine my inner disappointment when I not only did not have a heaping serving of fries but the single bucket wasn't even full. So not only no heaping over offering of fries but not even the amount that I should have received. The cherry on top was the fact that my fries were stale, cold, and old. I guess that is what I get for assuming that being open until 10 means I can get fresh food at 9:15. I ordered a bunless burger as I can't eat gluten. Normally I just remove the bun scrape off any remnants and am good to go. The BF pointed out the bunless option so I chose that. BIG MISTAKE, I didn't get a bunless burger. I got a piece of beef haphazardly slapped on a piece of lettuce. My toppings were missing and my bacon was cold. By far the most disappointing trip I have made to Five Guys and needless to say I will not be going back. There are other Five Guys locations throughout Frederick. I would recommend patronizing these locations or hit up McDonalds, at least then your expectations won't be too high. read more

Oh, Five Guys. Glorious, beautiful Five Guys. I have NEVER had a bad meal here. The burgers are perfect, juicy and topped just the way I like it. The fries are always hot and fresh. Service is fast and friendly. My one qualm? You always get too many fries! Make sure to share a regular order of fries with another person (or 2!) or you will never be able to finish them. They have recently added a "Little" fries size which seems more reasonably portioned but is still a generous amount. read more

Have loved 5 guys in Frederick for years. Have been a costumer of the Monocacy, Downtown Frederick (Closed) and West View locations since they opposed. For the last 2 years I have been a regular at the Kingfisher Drive location as it is ideal and the staff is amazing. Fries: Freshly cut and perfectly seasoned fries are amazing. Burgers: Each patty is cooked and served to order. well seasoned and you can get any topping. Drinks: All I can say is refills all day. Shakes: Perfectly balanced shakes and just like the burgers, you can get them in any flavor combination with as many toppings as you like. Service: The onsite team of Kim (GM), Care (SL), McKenna, Tyson and Brenda made us feel extremely comfortable and provided over the top service. Simple menu that's well executed. Great burgers - with all your favorite toppings (opt for the jalapenos - they're fresh, not the vinegary-mushy-packaged ones). Free in-the-shell peanuts to munch on while you wait. Reasonably priced. Ample portions (Guy S is dead-on with his fries comment). What's not to love? The only way they could improve is to hang one of those emergency heart defibrillator kits on the wall in plain sight - eat a few meals here a week and you'll need it handy ... :-) read more

I love Five Guys! Sometimes you just need a juicy, saucy comfort-food burger! YUM. I've been to a few other locations and this one was definitely one of the nicer! A tad small so I'm not sure what it would be like during busy hours on the weekend. They wee quick and the place was really clean. Attentive staff. I would definitely go again. Good burgers, although I think they were better a few years ago. I have been getting the impression recently that the quality has been going down a bit as they continue to expand. Anymore, it seems whenever I see a place go out of business, it's not long after that a Five Guys appears in its place. I'm waiting to see a Five Guys go out of business, just to see if another Five Guys appears in its place. My children now have a game where they try to guess what the Five Guys 'used to be'. The fries are exceptional. I love the boardwalk style. Reminds me of what I used to get at the fair when I was a kid. With that said though, maybe 2 out of 10 times as of late, the fries have been undercooked and soggy. They used to always be spot on. I would say that's more a 'cook' issue than an overall 'franchise' issue. Overall, it's a nice option for a burger and fries. read more

Still 5-stars in my opinion. I ordered the double cheeseburger w/ tomatoes, mustard and ketchup. I also ordered a cup of "small fries." Like the last time, the burger was fantastic! The melted American cheese, combined with two thick juicy beef patties, to make a memorable meal. As usual, 5 Guys goes over the top w/ their fries. The fry container was ridiculously over filled with French fries, enough for probably 3 people. This place is still serves one of the best burgers in Frederick. I love this 5 guys! Love the new remodeling they have done! It looks way cleaner (not that it wasn't before) and it looks like they have all new employees as well! A complete fresh start. Not only that, but they have hand spun milkshakes now! And let me tell you- I cannot believe it... It is the best milkshake I've ever had in my life. My boyfriend seconds that! We got vanilla, but they also had Oreo cream, coffee, peanut butter, strawberry and chocolate. I don't even like chocolate, but they were so good I know I would've loved every single flavor! This place is pretty awesome! I get the same thing every time tho, (little cheeseburger with fries) so I can't speak for the hot dogs. But the burgers and fries are absolutely delicious! So I have been here a few times more since my first review of this place. Why did i t take so long to get rang up on a carry out order?? I must also say that I am disappointed because they have gotten my order completely wrong on three different visits! They offer you an opportunity to get free food on your next visit but who wants to come back when they can't even get the order right? I can't explain how sad I felt after me and a friend had placed a carry out order and I arrive back home only to find out that my veggie had a few things wrong with it. First there was mayo (I said no mayo), soggy bread, and onions(I dont like onions!). I had to scrape the limp veggies off the soggy bread and try to salvage a sandwich by using my own bread. It was the worst dinner I had eaten in a long time. I had given these guys plenty of chances thinking maybe it was just a crazy day and they would get better but nope.....I wont be back. The offer given by the manager of my next two meals being free just isn't enough to make me want to bother again. read more

The food was fine, it was what I expected. However, when I went there last their was two teenage looking guys working who were obviously having fun talking about us after we picked up our food. It's not exactly a quiet place, and they were loud enough for us to hear. Obviously they have no common sense. Everyone knows to go in the back or talk lower when talking about the customers.
