I stopped in at Boxcar Burgers for lunch a couple of weekends ago when I was exploring Brunswick for a few hours, and I thought it was a very good burger! I went with their signature Boxcar Burger (lettuce, tomato, pickled beets, and Boxcar sauce) and added some cheese. Have I ever had pickled beets on a burger before? Nope. Did I think it weirdly worked? Yes. It was just a really good burger - juicy (one of those burgers you don't want to put down and pick back up; make your mess and finish) and delicious. I also thought their fries were very good - and I'm a little picky about fries! And because I was just having too good a time, I also had a kiddie size cup of strawberry frozen custard. The restaurant is casual, comfortable, and a little retro. And the service was great as well. Overall, I Just had a pretty good lunch here - one I'd be happy to repeat. And I'll be thinking about that beets on burger thing for a while!

Stopped in and got the daily burger deal. I believe it was a burger, fries, and can soda for $15, which is a great lunch deal! The service was great and they have two options to order. A self-service kiosk and a traditional employee to take your order. We were fretted upon entering and thanked for stopping in. They even had RC cola as a drink choice! The burger was outstanding and locally sourced from Frederick County. It was very juicy and filling. The fries were made to order and nothing too special but they were hot and fresh. I can't wait to go back after finally trying this place out after living here for the past year and a half.

We came here since we were in the area and they had the highest ratings. We got a Local Dog, Raymond XL Burger, French Fries and Onion Rings. To start the flavor of the food was good. The Local Dog was good, the bread was a little hard, almost like it was left out and got air stale. The Raymond XL Burger had really good flavor but I am not sure about the XL part. It was a small Burger packed with flavor but lacked in size. The Onion rings were sweet and the batter was good, just wish we had more. The portion was a bit small and because they were good I definitely wanted more. The French fries were great. Cooked well and seasoned well and there was good portion size. I would eat her again if I am her but wouldn't make a special trip because the price didn't match the portion, but the flavors were good.

They serve South Mountain Creamery Ice Cream. We got burgers their loaded bacon fries which were spot on delicious. (Get extra bbq sauce) Their BBQ burger was very good too. Kind of like a smash burger with a perfect amount of char on the meat yet still moist & juicy in the middle.

Cannot remember the name but it was the special of the day.

Delicious food, excellent service. Parked outside a brewery. Pleasantly surprised and will visits again.

I was biking the GAP/C&O from Pittsburgh to DC when I crashed about 30 miles from Brunswick. I was able to bike into town and get it to a bike shop, while they were working on it this place was a total score. The folks at the bike shop recommended I come here, and they were absolutely right. I had the special which was named after Cyril Figgis! It had some kind of jam and delicious goat cheese on it, along with some of the best cooked bacon I've ever had on a burger. I think they were closing, honestly didn't look because I was so frazzled. Nevertheless, they served me with a smile/compassion and it was 100% an amazing dining experience. Don't miss this place

Great burgers! Fun place to stop along the way! Highly recommend it. Burgers were fresh and juicy and the onion rings were the best.

Too expensive and not good. They also don't have normal drinks. Burgers don't have much flavor and the fries suck.

They do have a small parking lot and some benches around back but not ideal for colder weather. The menu is pretty extensive with many options of hot dogs, burgers and dessert. We got the Chicago dog, chili dog, patty melt and onion rings. The onion rings were the best! The breading did not fall off and stayed with each bite of the onion! Not to mention the crunch! The hot dog was also delicious! The way they dressed it was neat and you got a solid bite each time! The patty melt was juicy and the rye pairs so nicely!! The service was quick. It seemed like our small group of 6 may have overwhelmed them slightly with the amount of food we ordered but nonetheless did not take too long !

Beef 'N Buns 'N Paradise is one of those hidden gems that feels like summer. This fast casual burger and hot dog stand is walk-up only, with outdoor seating and a handful of parking spots (which fill up quickly during peak times). You order at the window from a huge menu and wait for your name to be called over the loudspeaker. We tried a few of their hot dogs, the Chicago Dog and the Chili Nacho Cheese Dog and both were awesome. The dogs were snappy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. We also grabbed the double patty melt, which was superlative. The patties were juicy, the rye bread was perfectly griddled, and the whole thing just hit. The onion rings deserve their own shoutout too, crispy, hand-breaded, and the perfect side item. And of course, we had to finish with dessert. We got vanilla soft serve cones with black cherry flavor burst on one and coffee on the other. Super tasty and the perfect ending. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. It's exactly the kind of place you want to hit up on a sunny weekend or for a casual dinner after work.

We ordered a beef burger with a side of sweet tots and the steakhouse burger with mac & cheese as the side. We shared all things and they were all delicious. The beet burger was suggested by a fellow customer and I'm so glad I listened to her. I was different and the texture was minced and not sliced. The flavor combo was awesome and out of the ordinary. The steakhouse burger was also fantastic. It was a great burger, but still a burger. So I was definitely a 5 out of 5, but the beet burger won the trip for me. The sweet tots and mac & cheese were equally delicious. I don't think you can go wrong. I really liked this place if you couldn't tell.

I ordered the monthly special milkshake which was the chocolate fang-cake shake. The pieces of chocolate cake in the shake provided a bit of texture and the chocolate was nice and velvety. The fries had a great flavor and were crispy. I saved them for later and they were still edible - not like typically fries that become soggy with no taste. The burger was thick and very juicy. I gave four stars instead of five because my order didn't come out exactly right. The burger was cooked medium well instead of medium temperature and I didn't get any raw onions on my burger as requested. Also, there was whip cream on my shake when I asked for it to be removed. Otherwise, I would certainly order again the next time I'm in Frederick.

TL;DR: Amazing food and milkshakes!…read more Market Burger is our guilty pleasure. We've even joked about moving to Purcellville just to be closer to it. Whether it's a first date or your fiftieth, this spot always hits the mark. Food (5/5): My go-to order is a double patty burger ($12) (single patty burger is $10), loaded with herb mayo, American cheese, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and a fried egg (+$1), plus a full order of fries. The burger is juicy, flavorful, and totally satisfying. If you're dining with someone, go for the full order of fries ($8). If you're solo, the half order is perfect. The food comes out on a big circular tray with your burgers and fries spread out. Messy and delicious! They also serve fantastic milkshakes in vanilla, chocolate, or coffee ($9). You can add Snickers, Oreos, or Heath bars for $1. The coffee shake is my personal favorite, and it's made with real coffee! Their fries are on another level. Sometimes they have weird fries specials that are a must-try! They used to have it all the time, now it's a rare surprise. Service (5/5): Service is quick and friendly. On the rare occasion they get your order wrong, they fix it right away. Ambiance (5/5): It's a fast-casual spot tucked into historic downtown Purcellville. You order at the counter, give your name, and grab a table. Sometimes they bring the food out to your table, sometimes you pick it up. Inside, the walls are lined with historic photos of the town. There are about six tables indoor and a picnic table outside on the corner. Free public parking is available just across the street.
