I love this fast food chain but have never been to this location nor have I tried the chicken tenders. This location had great customer service. I used the drive thru to pick up my mobile order of chicken tenders. I also ran inside to ask for more honey mustard and both interactions were on point. Okay so this was wild. I order two entrees for $25, easy peasy, I like their food (hence the 2 stars) but as I approach the window, there's a young woman doing her job well and taking my order, and two strange, creepy men working behind her loudly yelling and complaining about "Who the hell gets fast food? 'Oh I want a cheeseburger' so retarded" and the other laughing. I say "hey guys maybe this is a closed window conversation" and they ignore me and continue to loudly insult me and the car behind us. "Two cars??? We gotta get them the fuck out of here. What the fuck" all this insanity... and man... I'm a chill customer. I don't know what was going on, but these dudes need to quit if they hate their job this bad. It was around 7:30pm, at this point, I really don't trust they didn't mess with my food. I wasn't anything but respectful, the young woman taking my order was very visibly uncomfortable too. They seem to be just teething with hatred, possibly drunk even. I mean...It's a Roy Rogers. Do I need to say more? They've got a rather limited breakfast menu (but you can do a la carte and build your own...whatever). The people working on this cold, rainy Friday were pleasant, and the food was warm and tasty. The fixin bar was a bit perplexing, as I'm not sure which breakfast food the lettuce, tomato, and onions were supposed to go on. I don't usually review fast food, but I've never seen a standalone RR before (just some randomly at NJ Turnpike rest stops) so I was excited. It wasn't quite all I hoped for. I don't want to fault the cashier because it may have been the first transaction he'd ever done, but he didn't seem to know what a combo meal was (and that we weren't ordering the side and drink separately). If it wasn't his first day, then it's a little weird. Luckily the store was empty but he really struggled. I got a 2 piece and asked for 2 specific pieces and that's not what I got, but I was already leaving by time I noticed, so it was too much to expect. Food was good, and they have a toppings bar. I wonder if it's easier/more sanitary than saying "please add the lettuce in the kitchen." Otherwise it's nice to have a choice of sides, so good was good/service was slow and questionable. I wouldn't mind seeing more RR's across the country though. read more

Good fried chicken. Chicken tenders are dry and chewy. I like the fries because that are just plain thick cut fries without any coating. I like that that have a condiments bar so you can customize your sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoes onions, pickles etc to your hearts desire. read more

In town from GA and hadn't been to a Roy Rogers in 35 years. Service and food was great.

It's the first time we tried this place. We all loved the crispy fried chicken that were well seasoned and juicy. The burger on the other hand was below average: the bread was soaked and chicken was not well tasted. The cold slaw also had no taste. read more

The Roy Rogers in Brunswick only has a 2 star rating on Yelp and for good reason. We placed a curbside order and my husband had to send people back in 2 times to get everything we ordered in addition to that our large sprite was all soda water. In addition to that the manger (a kid) had terrible customer service. Do not order from here unless you choose to eat inside the restaurant to ensure you get what you paid for. We will not be giving this Roy's anymore of our business. read more

We have always complained about the overly cooked and dry chicken from this location. But this past time was the worst because it came back up all night. It gave me some form of food poisoning. For 2 days I was sick. They only thing I had that day was their chicken, fries and the biscuit. Within an hour I was not feeling well and within 3 I had my first session as driver of the porcelain bus. Since this issue wasn't resolved or contact made after email I've decided to post this review. We went thru the narrow drive thru to get a late dinner. I ordered the beef cheesesteak sandwich and my wife chicken gold rush sandwich and my daughter chose chicken tenders. My cheesesteak sandwich was soggy, 4 onion pieces and a small amount of beef. Now i had this sandwich a week earlier and the bun was firm, it was loaded with beef and onions. Worth the price of admission. This last one sucked. For the 799 price i had damn well get some beef and onions. Subway is looking good right about now. read more

I don't usually review fast food restaurant but after tonight, I decided it was time to start. My significant other and I came in to enjoy a meal after work, we ordered a sandwich to share and a milkshake. I had a question about the content of the milkshake so I politely called an employee over to my table. After not even asking my question (what i'm assuming is) his manager yelled over to us "get behind the desk! there is no socializing with friends!" she proceeded to look at ME and say "we had a meeting about this type of stuff he may not socialize." I tried explaining the situation but got cut off by the lady. I hope next time I return, she won't be here. read more

Visited today 5/6.. $15 for a large fry, reg roast beef sandwich and 3 roast beef sliders.. no drinks.. fry's ok, sandwich and sliders were so dry, the roast beef tasted like cardboard.. we've had multiple questionable experience at this location, but returning in hopes for an improvement.. well today will be our last visit. If we hadn't drive home before eating, or at least attempting to eat, I would return for a refund.. never again! Awful!!! read more

Food typical of Roy Rogers, but I was in a hurry and service was slow as crap. I should have used the drive thru, as it would have been a little quicker, but needed to use the bathroom and could use a break from driving. Should never take 10 minutes after ordering to get just a roast beef sandwich. It didn't seem to be a staff problem as there were plenty, didn't seem like there was a shortage of kitchen staff from what I could see, but everyone just seemed to be standing around. Finally I asked where my sandwich was and when I would get it. They checked with the food preparers and said they were making me a new one. What was wrong with the old one?!? Oh yes, they must have given it to someone else who ordered after me. If I had had more time I would have gone to any of the other restaurants in Brunswick that I passed. But I like Roy Rogers roast beef and chicken and decided to go there. Big mistake! This could be a successful place, but you need to get your act together and that starts with the staff. read more

This is the first review I have ever done. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the food is hot. I waited 17 minutes for 2 chicken sandwiches, a large fry, and 3 chicken tenders... Which the fries and tenders were already made. At 1 point, all the employees disappeared. I could've hopped behind the counter and made my own food. When I saw 1 of the employees come back (a young girl), she looked at me, and mouthed "he's pissed" to someone in the back and giggled. The manager told me it would be 4 minutes for the spicy chicken sandwich after I had already waited 10+. When I was handed my food, all that was said was "sorry for your wait". My boyfriend and I were wanting to grab something close and quick for lunch so we stopped into this Roy Rogers. I cannot remember the gentleman's name who took our drive thru order but he was incredibly kind and professional. It was refreshing to see that kind of customer service. He made sure our order was correct by repeating it back to us and then was very friendly at the window, making sure we had everything we needed. Our food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! (We ordered a gold rush, a roast beef sandwich, fries, and mashed potatoes!) We will definitely be back. read more

There aren't words to describe how frustrated I was when I was fired from my position at this location. I had gotten sick for the second time in the two months I had been working. I put all the boxes away and filled out paperwork for inventory every friday morning. Which in turn had me running four trips on my bike in the cold every Friday. The GM told me I had to have a doctors note if I wanted to return to work. But the law in Maryland states if an employee is sick for more than three consecutive days they had to have a doctors note. I'm 18 and living by myself my situation is difficult and I'm left in a very tight spot now still fighting to find a job thanks to the manager making up policies and enforcing them on her own. read more

I wonder if it's possible to get a bag big enough to actually hold your food order. Got lunch today and as usual the food was all the way to the top of the bag so there's no place to hold the bag. This is obviously corporate policy because the bag is never, never large enough Today the bag broke as I got out of the car because I could only hold a tiny area at the top of the bag. The only good thing about this place is the fact that the food is always good (once you finally get it...), but the service SUCKS. Went in this evening because the drive thru was backed up. No one in that place has ever had customer service training. There was a kid mopping the floor and the entitled .... hit me twice with the mop while I was trying to get sauce. Seriously? Drive thru: pulled up to the menu screen and waited for someone to ask for my order. Presently a young woman asks for my order and I tell her I would like a breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese and asked if I could have a slice of tomato instead of meat. She replied "what??!" And I repeated my request. She said "no we only put meat on our sandwiches". I said nevermind. There was no one behind me so I backed out, parked and went in. I was very surprised by the total lack of anything resembling customer service. There were two young women behind the counter, the one with the headset was obviously complaining to the other one about customers who don't order menu items. I went over and said I had asked for egg cheese and tomato and wondered why that wasn't possible. The clerk not taking window orders basically repeated the earlier phrase. I asked if she was saying that there are no variations or substitutions available, she replied "if you want tomato you can get it from the toppings bar". I didn't point out that a restaurant employee who worked to have happy customers could also do that. I just left. I also didn't point out that every time I've ordered this substitution at McDonalds, Burger King, Hardee's, or anywhere else it's been no problem. Not "fast food" at all. Every time I've ever come to this chain, I've spent an eternity in the drive through line. Going inside might be a little quicker, but not by much. Don't drive through unless you plan on sitting with your car in park for 15+ minutes, even if there's only one or two cars in front of you.
