I needed catering for an important family event, and Paul, the owner, handled everything personally. I am so grateful for their patience, attentiveness, and willingness to accommodate every request. What impressed me most, beyond the quality of the food, was the people behind the business. They genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The owner went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Their professionalism, kindness, and thoughtful attention to detail truly stood out. The food was delicious, everything was handled beautifully, and the level of care they showed made all the difference. Whether you are stopping by for a meal, grabbing lunch, or looking for someone to handle catering, I highly recommend McAlister's Deli. They exceeded my expectations in every way and will have my loyalty from this day forward!

After checking my receipt, I was only charged for the 6" so I declined as I did not want my husband's food to get cold. His sandwich was just so greasy that the bread was soggy and was falling apart (what we ate vs the advertised sandwich). I'm glad I didn't get it. This is our second time trying McAllisters and will be our last. Our last sandwiches were also greasy. Disappointed as this is just another fast food sandwich shop and not a true deli.

This was the first sandwich place I went to upon coming to Frederick. I ordered the Hero Sub, and it was pretty good. "Pretty good" from me is high praise because I was raised in New York and have routinely expected high-quality "hoagies" since I was a teen. Their roast beef sub is good, however, their signature "Steak & Cheese" sub could use higher quality meat. The peppers, onions, and cheese make up for the less-than-optimal quality beef (that reminds me of a high-quality "Steak Umms" from when I was a teen). Adding mushrooms to the mix would make it a premium sub. If you ask for extra onions, they will happily put them on your sub at no additional charge. A 14" sub costs about $16, and it is worth it.

I had to ask one of the workers to not touch the fries inside of the dairy and egg free kids meal. And replace it because he had already touched the bread that was buttered. So just to be mindful for those who might have dairy or egg allergies. The bun has egg and they butter them during the toasting process. Burgers: 4/5 As for the burgers, they are a Smashburger style and they have a crisp outside texture and juicy inside. Overall, I would say that the burgers are pretty solid burgers. The fries and the onion rings are pretty great, but the onion rings are really good if you are a fan, totally get them. Overall, this is a casual burger place that has a bar attached, a solid burger! It is a little bit expensive. I think we dropped $70 for two kids burgers and three regular burgers with fries and onion rings. But I'd go again!

It looked busy from the outside but I figured I try it out. I was able to find an opening at a large (and very full) bar. It took the bartender a few minutes to come greet me, a little longer than I would've liked at the time. I started thinking this was a bad move. Once she did come over, her personality changed that thinking. She ended up being one of the best bartenders I've encountered in a long time. I had a few drinks, and kept going back and forth on what to order. I'm not a fan of bottomless anything but decided today to go for the boneless wings since they looked pretty good as others were getting them. I ordered them with hot sauce and within five minutes a had a massive pile in front of me that looked great; and they also tasted great. The sauce was a typical Franks Red Hot flavor, which I enjoy and probably appeals to the masses because it's not too hot. The portion is big, very big and for only $10 you can't beat it. I did order one more portion because I wanted to try the Korean #2 sauce. Bad idea because it was way too much food but the sauce was good. Sweet with a slight kick and savory. I'm not sure when I'll be back to Frederick but I'm going to seek out some of their other locations. This was a good meal!

That's ok; every place has its own way do doing things. I waited. Noticeably, I was the only person of color in the entire restaurant. Still, I waited because no tables were available and they could see I was there. They made eye contact several times, walked by me several times. Finally, a table was turned over (very very slowly). I anticipated that would be mine since I'd been waiting and no one else was there. While the table was being turned over, another party came in. They were not spoken to either. When done, the woman who had turned over the table greeted them and walked them to the fresh table. She looked at me and turned away. I watched, confused. Someone who appeared to be a manager or owner hopped down off her stool at the bar having seen what happened, spoke to the hostess and asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar. I declined. I had waited and I wanted a table. The woman just turned and walked back to her seat at the bar. No apology (though she saw what happened), no indication of making it right. The hostess appeared annoyed but not apologetic and said nothing. I ended up leaving because the people there made us feel so unwanted - blatantly and boldly so. So if you're POC or visibly queer, skip this place.
