Prices are a bit high but I think it lends to their (mostly) attentive service. Of the four times I've been so far, only one waitress was disappointing. When I brought my children, they were so helpful getting booster seats and a comfortable location for our large party. When I've gone alone or as a date, the vibe always accommodates the mood for the dining experience. Truly versatile The baked figs are dynamite. The pizzas are lovely. The cream based ravioli that I ate on one trip was dish-licking delicious. I will say the blackberry creme brulee was a bit disappointing BUT the cookies and cream Smith Island Cake was fantastic. I am sure we will be back many times in years to come.

We've been here about ten times since Tony P's took over, and the experience has generally been great. The pizza is outstanding, and every fish dish we've tried has been enjoyable. I also appreciate I'm able to get a well‑made mixed drink. But here's my gripe: the pasta. It's consistently below par. The texture is gummy, and yesterday's lasagna confirmed it again. When delivered parts were warm, parts were cool, the pasta was mushy, and the red sauce was minimal. My wife warned me -- her last pasta dish here wasn't good -- but I didn't listen. I ate about a third, took the rest home, and halfway through the walk (we live close) I tossed it in the trash. I only write reviews when a place earns an A+ or a D‑. Everything else here is solidly in the A range... but the pasta needs serious attention. Think about it. I'll be back however a bit more selective in my order.

The fish and chips (my go-to) was good and ok. The fish was incredible (Cod flakey and great batter) the fries were meh. 2. The burgers were pronounced good, same meh for the fries. 3. The chicken gyro was pronounced good The menu is wide, the selections were all good other than the fries. A great place to visit for an end-of-week night out! The desserts were good. Overall the food was very good I will add this to our "places we will return to" list.

The servers work hard and are always attentive. Sometimes there is a bit of confusion when the person who delivers the food was not the same one that took the order -- the food sometimes being taken to the wrong table. The grill master is the one major variable when I order burgers. For one thing, I usually do not get the advertised full discount for the Wednesday night special. Things like cheese and add-ons can run up the burger a bit, but there always seems to be an automatic charge for cheese (either $1 or $2 up-charge) which I do not order. That is why I say I usually don't get the full advertised discount. Aside from that, there is wide variation in how the meat is cooked. "Medium" one night can be "Medium rare" or "Well-done" depending on the person on the grill. You best not order it "Well-done" unless you want to risk it being dry and crispy. The tacos are always excellent. Grilled or fried, either way is a diner's delight. The sauce has a nice burn without being too spicy. The two-taco meal may be enough for most diners with the three-taco portion being quite enough to satisfy. As far as putting Memories Charcoal House on my dining list, I will continue to patronize the establishment for its friendly atmosphere, cordial staff and wide variety of menu items.

With warmer weather and things opening, we ate inside for the first time last week and loved the vibe inside. Great seating space and friendly staff! Some of our favorites are the Chesapeake Burger, burgers in general, the chili cheese dog (split grilled!) and the fried pickles! This will certainly be a place we go for after ball games and when family comes to visit!

Some are hit or miss; some like Cryin' Johnnies are very good. Have had several of their hot dogs and flavor wise they do not suck. My go to has always been the Chicago dog. The don't use Vienna Beef dogs but Dietz and Watsons aren't bad. They also don't use poppy seed buns so the taste is a bit different. Tonight I ordered two (missed breakfast and lunch - sue me!). I had to order sport peppers (one of the defining flavors of a real Chicago dog) which was a surprise, the celery salt was missing, and the dogs themselves were cold. May have been the weather, may have been the ride home, but definitely cold. Good taste though (did I mention D&W?). I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because I've really enjoyed them in the past. May update - or even delete - this post the next time they come to our 'hood. One this is for sure: I will eat from the CJ folks in the future.

I look forward to revisiting and trying their lunch and dinner options too as they looked equally as good. The long and short, the food is fantastic. It's good quality and great flavour. Where some improvements could be made is the condiments or sides, eg: better orange juice instead of what tasted like a concentrate and real maple syrup instead of fake. What we got: Legendary French Toast - 5* fluffy, delicious, and super filling. Country Fried Steak - 3.5* the gravy was amazing (can't wait to try their biscuits and gravy), the potatoes were fried perfectly and improved with self applied salt and pepper, the biscuits were delicious (though jam options could be improved), and the eggs were cooked the way we asked. The steak was good initially but got old fast, it was salty and a tad overcooked and we were glad we were splitting both meals because eating the whole serving would've been hard.

It was a lovely evening the night we went, so we ate outside. I started off with a Raspberry mule. I believe our server may have forgotten about it because I didn't get it until right before our meal arrived. But it was really good and a great bargain for $7. For dinner I had the shrimp tacos, the shrimp was blackened and it was served with a slice of avocado and sriracha mayonnaise. It had a good flavor and the right amount of spice. My husband had the Chesapeake omelette which was served with spinach, lump crab meat, mozzarella and a Chesapeake sauce. He said his dish was delicious. This was our second time here and it will not be our last.

She was knowledgeable about the menu, answered our questions with confidence, paid close attention to detail, got our order exactly right, and everything arrived in a timely manner. Great service made an already enjoyable meal even better. We started with the Chicken Tenders & Fries, which were crispy, flavorful, and served with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ and honey mustard--perfect for sharing. I ordered the 8" Cauliflower Crust Pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions. The cauliflower crust had a great texture, and the caramelized onions added a delicious sweetness that paired well with the mushrooms. My husband chose the Caramelized Spicy Italian Sausage Pizza, featuring Ledo's signature sauce, spicy Italian sausage, caramelized onions, and smoked provolone cheese. It was packed with flavor and had just the right balance of savory, spicy, and sweet. The highlight of the meal was dessert. The Carrot Cake was easily one of the best we've had in a long time. It was incredibly moist and full of flavor, with fresh carrots, pecans, coconut, pineapple, warm cinnamon, and layers of tangy cream cheese filling. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service from Elizabeth, this was a great dining experience. We'll definitely be back the next time we're craving pizza and that amazing carrot cake!
