A solid choice if you're craving Peruvian chicken in the Frederick area! Located off of 40 around in the West Patrick exit and the corner of H Mart when entering the shopping center. I always prefer white meat for my chicken so I ordered the 1/4 white with two sides. All of this for only $7 now that's a steal! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The yuca fries were crisp to perfection and the chaufa rice was decent and not oily which was a plus. They bring the order to your table and if you're feeling saucy you are more than welcome to ask for more free of charge. I've been to a few places where they charge for extra sauce but not here! An awesome choice if you're ever around the Frederick area.

OMG! If you love Peruvian chicken and want to support a small business, this is the place to go! My colleagues and I eat in there several times a month and I just told my cousin about it and he and his wife loved it to! The food is good quality and the prices are very fair. I've tried all of the different taco meals and the ribs. I haven't tried the fried tilapia yet but probably will my time in. Highly recommend!!

Supporting the business, this restaurant was very good to us. Today, my brother, my son and I thought to stop by and give this restaurant a try. We are big Peruvian chicken lovers and heard that this place was serving Peruvian chicken. Without a thought, we felt very welcomed. The front guy who we believe was the owner of the place was extremely laid back and friendly. The side choices aren't much, but it tasted very fresh. Hopefully they'll add more sides like veggies or yuca. The chicken was very juicy and seasoned just right. A bit different from any other roasted chicken I have ever had. But it was still delicious!! It also comes with the regular white and green sauce which is always a good fix with the chicken it self. On a side note, my son really enjoyed the dancing chicken outside the restaurant. It was cute and kept waving at us even inside the restaurant. My son got quite the laugh through out the whole visit. Very friendly staff. I would definitely come here again and recommend this place to anyone!

What a disappointment, the chicken was dry and taste only of cumin, but edible, sides were not! Chaufa was flavorless and gooey, pinto beans slimy and bland, the green sauce had a nice cilantro flavor but needed that kick, but what is up with the pink sauce? Ketchup and mayo diluted? Hmmm money down the drain...

Me and my kiddos came here on a Friday evening and ordered a whole chicken with pinto beans and veggies as our sides to go. The food was on point!!! The chicken was very delicious and not dry. The pinto beans were also full of flavor. The veggies were ok, I'm trying to keep it somewhat healthy. The service was great, what more can I say. A huge selection of items on the menu and decent size drink selection. The dining area was clean with plenty of space (even though we ordered to-go). Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to try some the other items on the menu. read more

Stopped by in the middle of a snow storm. They were open and very accommodating! My husband had the Peruvian chicken, which was great. I had fajitas, rice and fried yucca. They have a great selection of sides and unique drinks. You can dine in or carry out. They are conveniently located off Route 40/the Golden Mile in Frederick. read more

Four stars for the rotisserie chicken because it's the star of the show. It's delicious, moist, and juicy because of whatever it's marinated in. Yum!! I like to get a whole chicken and just eat off it for a couple days. The reason I can't give five stars is because of the rest of the food. Every time I've been in there, all the vegetables and sides looked over-cooked, and like they've been sitting in the warming pans for hours, getting limp and drying out. Not appealing at all. H mart had quite the line for food so thought I would give Del Rancho Chicken a second try. Last time about 2 years ago we tried the whole chicken which was a little salty for our taste. Well this week it on point. Everything was so tasty. I may have gone in a little too hungry, but so worth it. The lady was also super nice when we ordered. Amazing food! We were looking for a rotisserie chicken for lunch and saw the sign. We stopped in and they have birria tacos on the menu! They were our appetizer and amazing! We took the rotisserie chicken home with plantains and vegetables and everyone was impressed! Glad we stopped in. Definitely letting my friends know and will be coming back myself! read more

This place is all about the food. The chicken is constantly being cooked and they don't cut it up until you order it. As far as the taste, yes it is genuine. This chicken is the best I've tasted in Maryland. The good thing about this restaurant is the chicken is not the only star; the sides are just as good if not better. read more

A really really good alternative to Sardis in Fredrick. The owners are very involved and very courteous. We had a wonderful Saturday lunch and were happy about the choices. The chicken is flavorful and delicious. If you are looking for a very much reasonable and better seasoned alternative to Sardis - this is the place to go to. The food is so much better. The sauces however are limited to two kinds and not three - however the green sauce is really good. I haven't been a fan of the red sauce so didn't try it. Loved the fried rice, it is flavorful and served hot. read more

Ok, so the last couple times I got food here I was disappointed with the service, so my last review was 2 stars. We decided to go back today and they have upped their game! The service is GREAT and their chicken is absolutely delicious. Their sauces are full of flavor and their side dishes are amazing! We got yucca and cole slaw. We also got a free holiday mug which was unexpected and nice! They also have Mexican Coke in the glass bottles, so we had to grab a few to go with our meal. Yum! read more

Get takeout from Golden beak for the first time and I have to say that I do like their food slightly better than the Sardis here in Frederick. I'll definitely be back for more in the near future! So I decided to get food here again (07/28/2015) because my mom didn't get to eat much of what I had yesterday because she was too full. So she went to order the food after she got off work and they unfortunately didn't have any ready so they made a new whole chicken and gave my mom extra chicken and yuca for the wait. VERY VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE!!!! I was craving pollo and the 7th street chicken place was closed dec 26th... I remembered seeing a pollo a la brasa on W. Patrick. I don't know why I kept thinking this was a chinese restaurant!?! I walked in skeptical and asked the man if they were good? He said yes and told me "YOU'LL COME BACK" with such confidence... Little hidden gem. Best Peruvian chicken in Frederick. The curry chick peas are a family favorite. The chicken is done right, the flavor is there, and not over peppered like some places. The sauces (green and white sauce are always a necessity) are spot on. They take pride in them enough to let you know about them, especially with their addition of 'fry sauce' which is a Utah thing my family has experienced in our travels. This is worth a try. The dining area is clean with TVs on low. You can definitely carry on a conversation. There is water to drink if paying for a bottled soda is not your thing. If I had to improve anything, is to get rid of any canned veg product. Stick with the good stuff that is fresh like the rest of the food. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Wonderful food. The chicken is juicy and nice and spicy. I loved the curried chickpeas... which they tell me do not contain any animal fats so my vegan friends will be happy. Plantains were sweet and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Delicious! I have driven past this place so many times and would never stop because I thought "fried chicken". Boy was I wrong! My son ate there with a friend and said I had to try it. The chicken is rotisserie charcoal. It smells amazing! No MSG!!! The sides were original. Fresh cut fries! Cooked in canola oil. We had the chic pea curry with rice (my favorite ) and mixed veggies. The veggies could have been better. Looked like they took a bag of frozen veggies and razed them up with onion and spice. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were super friendly. All in all an amazing quick and tastey dinner! Dont let the name deter you. Ill be back! read more

A good choice for many rotisserie style chicken meals. They offer fried, rotisserie, and wings in varying meal options with two sides. The rotisserie chicken perfectly spiced and great. My wife got the fried chicken and she wasn't impressed with it, as it was a bit dry. The fries were great, you have the choice of two sides, mostly beans and vegetables. The atmosphere was nice, they have a varying choice of Import and domestic non alcoholic beverages. Overall I think I will try it again, but may want to steer away from the Fried option. read more

Great little Mom/Pop shop doing chicken very similar to Sardi's but a hint cheaper and with better green sauce. Also has a more expansive menu if not everyone in the group is a chicken lover. read more

im new to the area and was looking for a quick dinner after a day of moving in and work. The place is on the way home so we stopped and got a whole chicken to take away. Both me and my husband loved the chicken! It is very flavorful and moist. I have never been a rotisserie chicken fan until i tried this one. A few weeks later we went back and this time got a Combo C - whole chicken and 2 sides. We got fries and salad. I was very impressed to see that they make the fries to order so they are fresh. The salad could be improved, it was just big chunks of iceberg, a few circles of radish and cucumber, but after all its a chicken place, not a salad bar. Just popped in here really quick today because it's close to where I work. It was a little busy, so I kind of had to shout my order at the person behind the glass. Waited a few minutes on yucca fries to go with my order (which I'm not complaining about at all - the freshly cooked yucca was delicious!). The chicken (1/4 dark) was OK in flavor, but it was juicy and not dry at all as some of the previous reviews state. Only thing I was annoyed with was that they put my COLD side salad in the same to-go container as my HOT chicken. By the time I got back to work to eat, my salad was warm and that is just gross and ended up not getting eaten. read more

I am from Eastern NC, so I have a pretty good idea of bbq and BC staples. I decided to try the flounder rather than the bbq this time. The founder was disappointing. It was a bit on the bland side and the batter is a little confusing. I was expecting a cornmeal style batter or similar, but got something different. The fish itself had potential to be very good. The beans also left a lot to be desired, just lacked flavor and taste. The business looks like they do a lot of catering as opposed to dining (possible a lot of to go orders, too).

I stopped by The Golden Beak today and LOVED it! The staff are all very friendly and the interior is very inviting! I asked for a quarter white meat combo which comes with two sides. I asked for the white rice and black beans. Then I was pleasantly surprised when they offered another side because if you get your beans over your rice it counts as one side...SCORE! So I got the fries as well. They were amazing. I waited a minute as they got fresh fries from the kitchen. The man behind the counter said they cut their fries fresh at the restaurant. Loved the wall of sodas...they were colorful and pretty. It almost added to the decor:) I asked about the wood paneling on the walls and apparently it's repurposed wood from an old barn. The kind woman at the register told me their to-go boxes are compostable and the flatware is bio-degradable! It's not too often you find an environmentally conscience "fast-food" restaurant! Delicious high quality food. I love finding locally owned businesses who clearly work hard to provide high quality products. My husband and I brought our two year old with us, we shared (and brought home) the steak and cheese special and a half chicken dinner, both were prefect, the bread the steak and cheese comes on is a very large, fluffy, white or Italian role, yum! The chicken was flavorful and juicy, we got red beans and rice, fried plantains, and fried yuca, all were plentiful and delicious, we actually ordered extra plantains to bring home. The staff was very helpful and friendly, one of them even stopped by to talk to our two year old and shared pictures of their child. Great experience! I happened to be in a meeting in Fredrick and saw a chicken costume on the street. It was lunch time and I stopped by. I ordered lunch and the food was absolutely delicious. The seating facility was clean. Everything was clean. The staff were very welcoming and delightful. Last time I came here I went to Sardies and the food was average. The place was filthy and was just not comfortable to eat. In my opinion the restaurant just opened so it's gonna take time to realize it's 100% cleaner and better than Sardies. I checked out this place on my way to Pennsylvania, the décor is nice and the place looks very clean and inviting. I checked some of the reviews on this place and noticed people were stating the chicken was different, I am from Peru myself and know that this is a Peruvian style rotisserie chicken which is different than american style.
