Altogether the new Whopper has slipped way down my burger list - far down. If I wanted sweet I would have gone to Dairy Queen. The clerk didn't waste time with pleasantries. The food takes awhile to prepare. I waited about 15 minutes after I ordered as they fresh bake the crab cakes. A tip jar sits by the cash register. The place is cute inside decorated in a harbor/seafood theme. There are 5 tables inside and 2 counters that seat 4 people each. It's the kind of place that you'd meet a friend for lunch and a beer and hang out. There are a couple of Adirondack chairs out front. A tv monitor was playing basketball reruns. The crab cakes can be purchased unbaked to go (along with a host of other seafood). There is a small full bar and coke products. The bartender was our waitress. (Important note because we could see her basically the whole time and what see was doing) and respectfully she wasn't that busy. But it took almost 20 to 30 minutes for her to even come to the table and get our drink order. So we ordered our drinks in food at the same time. Food came out. It was okay, something's tasted better than other things. But for the price and how long it took, I don't think it was really worth it. While eating, I needed a drink refill, again I can see our waitress behind the bar. Not doing nothing but from the time our food was dropped off to the time we finished eating, she didn't come over to check on us. Which was annoying. When she did come over she was nice and friendly, but not really apologetic because I don't think she knows how slow her service is. Year 3: okay 1 good trip - 1 bad trip, so we needed a tie breaker. Didn't say "sorry about the wait" "wings should be up shortly", nothing. And yet again i can see our waitress and other staff standing behind the bar. I got a chicken sandwich that was a little extra crispy lol and my boyfriend got fried catfish? I believe? I will give credit, the wings were good and had a nice crispy skin. The main meals were both just alright. But again for the wait and the cost ($70) it's just not really worth it. After finishing the meal, we waited 10 minutes and then had to go find someone else to bring us our check. I wasn't trying to be there all night... FINALLY! We get to go downstairs to the Ice Cream Shop (which is why we came in the first place) at 8:05 and they were "technically closed" - pretty sure the restaurant closes at 8:30 but okay whatever. The girl kind of offered to still scoop us some Ice Cream but at that point I'm over it. So we got our Ice Cream Stamp at left. Already decided next year will be a strictly Ice Cream Only trip. Such a shame because it really is a cute place. But I don't like paying $70-$80 to basically be ignored for a hour and a half.

Nothing special…read more.. Someone said that when we were in Frederick that we needed to try the milkshakes at Maxwell's. We were and we did. On the plus side was the pleasant staff. The kids that were working there seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. I also liked that the restrooms were spotless. On the negative side was that the place was cramped and dingy. And, there were also some foul, food-related, smells on the way the the spotless restroom. And, on the "meh" side was the milkshake itself. I ordered a strawberry shake. What I got was some vanilla custard(-like stuff) with some strawberry syrup and a bit of jam stirred in.
