Five Guys is a combination of Jimmy Johns and In-N-Out burgers. It has the strip mall size and shape of a Jimmy Johns with a similar assembly line process for taking then making your order. It has the same color scheme as an In-N-Out and the same small focused menu. Go to their website to see the menu. As for a review of the food, I'd say their burgers are the best of the fast food restaurants. You can actually taste the beef, and in this case, that's a good thing. You'll pay more for a full meal than at McD's, about $8 (burger, fries and drink) but I think the quality makes it seem cheap for the price. read more

Great place for a bite if you're out and about. One of the guys behind the counter was all smiles. We made small talk about new movies coming out until my order was up. Best fast food burger out there in the Twin Cities IMHO. Cooked fresh to order and their prices are reasonable. Their fries are very good too -- and I like that they put out malt vinegar bottles for them. Five Guys is a must try if you are in the mood for a burger and fries. read more

Good burgers and fries in huge portions. Do not get the large fries unless you have to feed a family of 8.

Comparable to Hardees/Carl Jr's (About twice as much though). However they have better fries and better customization of burgers.

I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't so busy. The food is amazing! I love that they literally give you a "fat sack" of fries!

Love this place! Everything is fresh and served in LARGE quantities and they serve it fast, even in the lunch rush. I love how they have free shelled peanuts but i never get to have any because i am either full or the food comes to fast. Love the Cajun fries. It can be loud but i think it adds to the atmosphere. My sister and I took my Dad here for Fathers Day. We needed somewhere quick to go as my Mom was in the hospital at Fairview. We each ordered a burger that were all equally large, messy, and filled with fresh toppings. Hi Fries... a regular order is enough for 2.. regular or cajun, both salty. Fries are the great handmade type and are great with Ketchup. My one kid and I love fries. The other kid likes some kinds of fries (He loved these fries). The burgers are cooked kind of well done (I like medium well, but these were even better). My step sisters ex husband owns this place, but I still gave it a chance and do not regret it. I liked the burger and not to forget the free toppings which came along :) The fries where ok, i think i ate a bit to much of the fries that i got bored of it. But the best to say is the peanuts to much on while you wait for the burger. Can go for the little burger until and unless you are a fan of double patty. ideal would be try on a little burger with a regular cajon style fries with loads of peanut and all the way toping with a selection of sauces if you ever happen to be there. Five Guys has fantastic burgers, especially at their price point. They are greasy and good, the fries, eh, those are so-so, not usually crispy enough. This location should be listed up there with Mt Everest in terms of difficult of access. There are never parking spots, and I say that having eyeballed all the spots to park up on the curb with the flashers on - seriously, even those spots are usually taken already. There is a parking ramp, but if you are running in for a carry out order they are a PITA to use. read more

I have been to the Eden Prairie Five Guys three times. The first two times, it was OK. The third time half of the burgers were not even cooked enough to be rare. At a time when properly cooking ground beef is important and when a company's business model is burgers, it is a very bad sign that they cannot cook burgers properly. I would also say there are some management issues. The guys running the grill did not seem to focused on their job. They were busy goofing around. I would have expected a manager to step in and help them focus and make sure the burgers are cooked properly. I did not see anyone who seemed to be in charge. I have been to several other Five Guys in other states. The Five Guys in the other states provided better quality and seemed to be run/managed better. read more

Nothing much to say about the place. A very crowded place, and the food is overpriced for an OK taste.The fries are a little too thick for my preference, and my advice would be to not order them as a side since they fill you up so fast that you wont have space for the burger!! Giving it a 2 star only because of the free peanuts they offer. read more

Holy cow. They give you an insane amount of food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and regular cajun fries. What I got was a huge 2-patty thing with grilled onions, tomato, lettuce, pickles and mushroom THING that I could barely finish. Let me add that I skipped lunch today so I was hungry. I really had to force myself to finish that burger and my stomach hurts right now. The cajun fries are a bit spicy, thick-cut with skin on, just the way I like them. Unfortunately, I just couldn't eat many of my fries because of the burger. I don't think I'll even be able to look at another burger for at least a month. Unless you can eat like a horse, you should probably stick to the "little" burgers. As Yoko said, they put your fries in styrofoam cups and then they dump in extra fries for you. This place was PACKED, but they move people quickly so the wait wasn't very long. I faxed in my order ahead of time because I don't like to wait if I don't have to. I don't think all of the 5 Guys Burgers hype is worth it. After spending over $14 for a burger, fries and a coke, I was expecting an amazing burger. What I got was a sub par burger at best. Not worth the $14. The fries were good, I like the option of having malt vinegar available. I have had much better burgers for far less money. It was not pleasant outside, dining room was fairly clean, but had numerous tables that needed attention. read more

I didn't think it was anything special, and I give it one star to balance out the overrated rankings that it gets. I have been to multiple five guys in my life and always come away thinking "it wasn't that good". Yet everyone keeps saying that it is a great burger. Thus I keep going back and lo and behold it has never been anything special. I might be looking for something different in a burger though. I see that many people portray them as having many topping selections, but I think they are severely limited in their offerings and their burgers are dry. For a comparable price try Smashburger, it will be much juicier and you have many more topping options like blue cheese, cheddar cheese, and pepper jack, more sauces like their texas pedal sauce, chipotle mayo, barbecue sauce, spicy brown mustard, a decent bun and bread options. Five guys is boring, but if you like sticking within the box, then I guess you will probably like it. But I can't think of a time that I have made a burger at home that tasted as bad. read more

One of the best burger I've ever had. Service is always good. Seems like employees are having fun and like working there. Fresh potatoes for fries. Price is good for the quality of burger. The burgers travel well for take out because the cheese melts in the foil by the time it gets home. Yummy! read more

Open from 11am to 10pm I arrived at 11:25am on a Friday with a line already out the door and a full parking lot. I think the wait was 15-20 minutes max. Inside the door the have free peanuts to munch on while you are waiting in line. I had initially planned to go at 1:30pm but, someone scheduled a 1pm conference call on a Friday!! As you approach the counter to order you can read the menu, the regular burgers are two patties, massive, cooked 'juicy but, well' done. You then get to choose a ton of sides, I just said everything then added raw onions for the person who scheduled the 1pm conf call, somehow relish squeezed by but, it was not bad but, had fried onions, mushrooms, just a ton of good stuff. I did not try the fry's. I took the lunch and we headed over to Centennial Lakes across the parking lot, it's a beautiful park with shaded seating all over the place with a 1.48 mile loop around the 'lakes', great place for a lunch date! read more

Just love to order a freshly made burgers with my favorite items. Add whatever you want on the burgers. Wow, the fries are just like the state fair and plenty for one order. Of course, the peanuts in the shell help the wait for the freshly made to order burger go by fast. Love the brown paper sack your order comes in, it serves two purposes for carry- out and a disposal bag. Place as limited inside seating, so only four stars for a five star burger place. read more

Pretty good burger, the comparisons to In N Out are a bit much. If you have ever had a double double these things don't compare, but still, tasty. The fries were good too, greasy, but good. Suggestion, its way too much and on my second trip I asked for half an order fries and they do not allow that. So if you go with someone, splitting fries will work cuz the burgers are big. The parking is not ideal, but you can park down in the old navy parking lot and use the centennial lakes trail to walk over, that way you can walk off the over stuffed feeling after a huge lunch. read more
