Three illuminated menu boards at Shake Shack Southdale in Minneapolis display various food and drink options. The central board features a Black Truffle Burger with an image of the burger, while the left board lists drinks such as lemonade and soda. The right board highlights strawberry lemonade, chicken sandwiches, and side dishes like crinkle cut fries and flat-top hot dogs. The boards are positioned on a wooden floor with a dark wall background, and each board is mounted with a small light fixture.

It's been a while since I had Shake Shack, so I ventured over to the Edina location. This spot is spacious and works for any occasion. They have self-service kiosks for ordering, but you can also order with a cashier. Since there was no rush, I used the kiosk--quick and easy, though I didn't get a greeting from staff. I ordered a Single Shack with bacon (no tomatoes), fries, and a strawberry lemonade. Keep in mind, everything is à la carte. The burger was okay--smaller than I remembered. The fries? Amazing! Crispy, perfectly salted, just how I like them. The lemonade? So good I had to go back for seconds. Shoutout to the team member who offered to clear my tray and grabbed me more lemonade--small gestures like that make a difference! Overall, a solid spot for a quick bite.

A cheeseburger featuring a beef patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, and tomato slices, served in a bun. The burger is wrapped in white paper and placed on a tray with a patterned paper liner. Next to the burger, there is a large plastic cup filled with iced tea or a similar cold beverage, with condensation on the outside and a green straw. The background shows an outdoor seating area with a wooden table and a black slatted fence.

I love a good Shake Shack burger, and this location didn't disappoint. The building and outdoor patio area are attractive, clean and spacious. There are kiosks to place order or you can check out with cashiers. Great service!

Cocoa Malt, Cheeseburger, Fries - The image shows a fast food meal consisting of a cheeseburger with a bun, cheese, and meat patty, along with crinkle-cut fries in a white box. I am writing this review based on having the food delivered to me by DoorDash, I do not know about the ambiance of the restaurant, I do know that the food always comes well packaged with nothing missing, so their takeout and packaging service is good! On to the food, its SO GOOD! I am definitely a Shake Shack girl when I'm craving a burger, fries, and a shake. I don't eat fast food/fast casual burgers very often, but when I do this is what I want. The burgers are always made exactly the way I request them with fresh ingredients and the perfect amounts of toppings and sauce. Their shakes are just as thick as I want them with yummy flavors, that's all I can ask from a fast casual restaurant. I pretty much loathe DoorDash but I deal with it so I can get some Shake Shack!

A tray holds crinkle-cut French fries with cheese sauce, a small cup of dipping sauce, and a burger wrapped in paper with visible lettuce. The fries are golden and crispy, with some sprinkled with salt. The cheese sauce is creamy and yellow, covering some fries. The dipping sauce appears to be a seasoned or herb-infused sauce. The burger is partially wrapped, showing lettuce and a bun. The tray is on a wooden table, and a person's arm is visible in the background.

Delicious! We stopped here for a quick meal before a movie and it was super fast and convenient. We ordered on an iPad and found a spot to sit in the restaurant right away. They brought the food out to us within 10 mins! I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger and it was so good! Also got a side of the crinkle fries. It was pretty quiet and calm when we went, which was nice that we could enjoy our burgers without a ton of noise. Overall I would recommend!

Service was super fast I ordered on the kiosk had a great meal I love all the tvs too so my cousin could catch the games on. It was so nice someone stopped by and checked on our meal too. Only minus was I wish the burger had a little more seasoning on it but the ketchup fixed that :D

Pick up area - Employees are seen working behind the counter at Shake Shack Southdale in Minneapolis, MN. The kitchen area includes food preparation stations, shelves with boxes, and various supplies. Bottled water and utensils are on the counter in the foreground. The environment is a commercial kitchen with stainless steel surfaces and overhead lighting.

Shake Shack review? Slow service, missed items in order, bland yet over salted burgers and fries. Only positive was the malt is very good. Not even close to ok No idea why service is slow. Plenty of staff and they pile up the burgers and fries under the heat lamp, while stalking up the beverages. They pulled a families order and left it on the counter letting it get cold while they yelled for the nuggets. Pro tip- if the order is not ready, leave what is under the heat lamps, not out on the cold counter top, until the order is complete I mean Culver's makes you burger to order and then they bring it to your table, all faster than the dozen of us standing around for our to go orders. And Culver's tastes good Honestly the burger they serve in the cafeteria at Fairview Southdale Hospital is better. I would rather eat at McDonald's, which is not a compliment

Fried Green Tomatoes with spicy aioli (5/5) - The image shows a white bowl filled with fried green tomatoes, each topped with slices of red chili peppers and chopped chives. In the center, there is a small metal cup of spicy aioli sauce. The background features a wooden table surface, indicating a dining setting. The dish is part of a menu item at Shake Shack Southdale in Minneapolis, MN, as noted in the caption.

My friend has been talking about how good her chicken was on her Cesar salad was for quite some time. I finally decided to go to a restaurant for a salad, haha! She wasn't wrong. The grilled chicken was very moist. I will say the salad itself was over $20, so it's not the most bang for your buck, but it was delicious. Fried green tomatoes is one of my most favorite appetizers and this dish did not disappoint. The tomatoes themselves were sliced thinner than I prefer, but the spicy aioli was dang good. Would definitely come back and get either of these dishes again. We were sat at 7pm on a Sunday night. The bartender was the server and we weren't told that. We waited about 10 minutes until my friend had the bright idea to ask the bartender who is serving tables.

Shackburger - A hand holds a cheeseburger featuring a beef patty, melted cheese, lettuce, and tomato slices inside a soft bun. The burger is held in front of a car's dashboard, which includes an infotainment screen, air vents, and control buttons. A water bottle is visible in the cup holder area of the vehicle.

I was shopping at Macy's today at Southdale, starving, and decided to go to Shake Shack. I had only had it one other time at the MOA location and loved it. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries on the app and headed over. It's a really nice store and I'm sure they are very busy. The first thing I noticed is that there were a lot of employees both in and out of the kitchen, could have been shift change, it was 3:46pm when I picked up my order. I sat down to wait bc I was a bit early. All of a sudden I heard a female voice e from the kitchen, yelling to the staff on the line, "I don't want to hear any attitude. If anyone has attitude there's the door," she pointed to the door. I assumed she was a supervisor. Im not sure what went on prior to that outburst but it was still very inappropriate. I've been in a leadership and HR roles for many years and I can't think of a single reason this behavior was appropriate by a manager at any time, especially in front of guests. In this climate, I would have walked out. Any ff chain would be delighted to have any of these staff working for them. I would like to personally thank all of the staff at this location for putting up with this kind of toxic leadership. The burger was under seasoned. That is all.

We really love their burgers and the fries but they did forget both of our chicken bites orders. The milkshake was decent though and the lemonades were awesome.

Cheese fries! - Crinkle-cut fries topped with melted cheese sauce are presented in a paper tray, which is placed on a metal tray lined with paper featuring green food-related icons. The fries are golden and crispy, with the cheese sauce covering most of the fries. A wooden skewer is inserted into the fries for easy handling. The setting appears to be a casual dining or fast-food restaurant.

I've been a big fan of Shake Shake but not of this particular location. Came here after an afternoon of shopping to grab a little snack! It was in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. The cashier seemed as though I was bothering her just to order my cheese fries. Bummer! But the fries were delish. I'm also a big fan of their shakes and burgers. Hope next time is a better experience.

Really good burger, didn't know what to expect with the cherry peppers but the burger was on point The coffee & donut shake took a couple of big gulps before it started tasting good The kimchi fries were so good and I would get again. I visited with my brother, we both ordered and pod individually at the kiosks, we both grabbed individual numbered order table markers, we both dined in. He got his order brought to our table, I had to go get mine. Minus 1 star. If that was the only customer service experience, because there wasn't any greeting when you walk in, I could have been consistent for both us with food brought to the table. The flavor of the burger and fries will bring me back though

Milkjam Creamery is a small but inviting ice cream shop right next to World Street Kitchen. From…read morethe moment we walked in, the staff was immediately very welcoming and kind. There was one group ahead of us, but that gave us time to look through the list of unique flavors they had to offer. Most of the flavors had goofy names that added an element of fun to the experience that I appreciated. With only one employee working at the time, we waited a couple of minutes before being helped, but it was very reasonably quick. Given the fact that a lot of the flavors were unique, we wanted to try a lot of them, especially because it was our first time. Each month, there are a few rotating flavors. This month featured a Valentine's chocolate lineup. I ended up trying five flavors and felt too guilty to try more. I honestly was not a fan of most of the flavors I tried. I expected to enjoy the PB vs Everybody (a peanut butter banana ice cream with oreo chunks), but the banana really threw me off. The Tru Luv (milk chocolate truffle with chocolate almond crunch, caramel chocolate fudge) also had a "weird" kind of chocolate flavor that I didn't really enjoy. In retrospect, I'm not really sure how to describe it. I ended up choosing the Lemon Drizzle Cake and Ridin' Duuurty (oreo milk with oreo chunks and salted peanut butter). The Lemon Drizzle Cake had a very pleasant textural contrast, and the lemon flavor was not too strong. It was just enough to come through without being bitter. As for the Ridin' Duuurty, I was actually very hesitant to pull the trigger on this flavor. Typically, cookies 'n cream is one of my favorite ice cream flavors, and I also tend to really like peanut butter-flavored sweets, so this seemed like it would be a no-brainer. But when I sampled it, the ice cream base tasted weird. It had "oreo milk", which I wasn't sure about, but definitely wasn't quite what I was expecting. I ended up going for this flavor just because I was pretty sure I would still enjoy the flavor of two components I typically love in my desserts. I was surprised to see I actually enjoyed it slightly more after the fact. The peanut butter comes as a little cube that I didn't really get in my sample bite, which definitely helped. As for the ice cream itself, it had a very nice consistency. The ice cream wasn't overly creamy, yet it was still very rich and smooth. Although Milkjam has a lot of unique flavors, all of them are on the sweeter side. Even the default vanilla flavors are "sweet cream" and have "sweetened condensed milks". Because of this, I don't think Milkjam would be everyone's cup of tea, but they have so many interesting flavors that are at least worth giving a shot. Scoops are on the pricier side, with single scoops starting at 6.50, jumping to 8.50 for a single split scoop, and 11.50 for a double. If I were to come back, I probably wouldn't get anything more than a single. Scoop sizes aren't very generous, and an additional two dollars for the split scoop definitely didn't feel worth it. Milkjam wouldn't be my first choice, but every once in a while, I would be happy to come back to try out their rotating flavors and give others a shot.

Milkjam Creamery sets the standard for what great ice cream should be. My go-to flavors are Uncle Grandpa, Uma Thurman, and Pineapple Lychee. Uncle Grandpa is comforting and rich, Uma Thurman is smooth and indulgent without being heavy, and Pineapple Lychee is bright, tropical, and incredibly refreshing. Even if you're not usually a sorbet person, this one converts people. What really says it all is this: Milkjam is the one ice cream shop I make a point to visit every single month. I don't do that with any other ice cream place. The quality is that consistent. The shop has a fun, welcoming vibe, the staff is great with samples and recommendations, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting. If you love ice cream and live in (or are visiting) the Twin Cities, Milkjam is non-negotiable.

But if you, like me, may have any interest in cheese curds, or spicy chicken, or a burger, god forbid; i suggest you carry on reading. I should preface this with an in depth disclaimer: i am not a picky eater. i eat things that others find repulsive, i eat things in ways other people would never dare to consider. when i cook, i consume a mouthful of each ingredient im using before i add it. i want to understand the taste! (this is not an exaggeration). i eat anything. and that's why it's so strange to me that for the first time in my life, the power of bebe zitos has rendered me incapable of finishing a dish. This food sucks, man. it's like, made by people without tastebuds. The food here is so aggressively bland, it's rather impressive. Not underseasoned... unseasoned. Every dish tastes like the kitchen staff has a personal vendetta against flavor. Chewing it is like having a mouthful of familiar textures with very little taste, if any. it's quite maddening. Here's what really gets me: they'll proudly serve a vanilla ice cream with MSG added, and use words like "umami" on their menu. But a burger? Fries? Those don't deserve salt. The cognitive dissonance is staggering. You understand flavor science well enough to dose your ice cream with MSG, but you can't be bothered to season a patty? it's bland incarnate, masquerading as classic diner fare, but deconstructed and self aware, in all its greasy goodness. And those precious little boxes everything comes in? The ones that look so adorable on Instagram? They're a disaster. The second your food goes in there, steam turns everything soggy. Your fries get limp, your burger sits in its own condensation. My mind has never before been a host to the abstract thought forms of "french fry" and "erectile dysfunction treatments" in my mind at the same time Speaking of which - I paid extra for avocado on my burger. What I got was half an avocado, uncut, just plopped on top like an afterthought. Not sliced. Not mashed. Just a whole hemisphere of avocado that's somehow both slimy and weirdly warm from sitting in that steam-trap box. Look at this thing. This is what $3 extra gets you - a sweaty, unsliced avocado half slowly dissolving into mush on top of an already soggy burger. Did anyone in the kitchen actually think about how this would be eaten? Or was the photo op the only consideration? The complaints keep piling up elsewhere too - overcooked tots, what appears to be frozen pre-packaged chicken, grossly overpriced for what you get. This is an ice cream shop pretending to run a kitchen, and it shows. The irony is that they clearly know how to make something excellent - the proof is in their ice cream. Creative flavors, perfect execution, a depth of understanding the chemistry of taste. So why does the savory menu taste like an afterthought prepared by people who've never actually eaten their own food? Come for dessert, skip literally everything else.

We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree.
