Tres Leches Strawberry Snickerdoodle ice cream
Angie S.

We came specially for ice cream this trip. Bebe Zito really had some of the best flavor combos of ice cream you'll find anywhere in the Twin Cities! I tried the Tres Leches Strawberry Snickerdoodle, which was such a unique flavor! It had chunks of a sweet strawberry cookie, inside a very creamy ice cream base. Nothing was too overpowering and I'd get this flavor again. They also have a good menu with their take on a fast food burger, fries, cheese curds and special sauces. The burgers are delicious! The cheese curds are unique as square chunks of cheese which I recommend dipping into the honey sauce they come with!! The shoestring French fries are also a must!

Came here for the burgers, but didn't know they close their kitchen at 8pm. We were a minute late, but they were nice enough to make our order! The cheese burgers were perfect. Smash burger style, so they had a really nice char on the patties. Great pickles, lettuce, cheese, and a tasty sauce to top it off. It was messy in a good way. We finished our meal with ice-cream for dessert. The blueberry London fog was delish. There was both indoor and outdoor seating, with a cute selection of merch. I'd definitely come back!

I really wanted to love Bebe Zito's. The ice cream is fantastic - genuinely some of the best I've had in the cities. if you want ice cream, and only ice cream, and absolutely nothing else, then stop reading and consider this review 5 stars. But if you, like me, may have any interest in cheese curds, or spicy chicken, or a burger, god forbid; i suggest you carry on reading. I should preface this with an in depth disclaimer: i am not a picky eater. i eat things that others find repulsive, i eat things in ways other people would never dare to consider. when i cook, i consume a mouthful of each ingredient im using before i add it. i want to understand the taste! (this is not an exaggeration). i eat anything. and that's why it's so strange to me that for the first time in my life, the power of bebe zitos has rendered me incapable of finishing a dish. This food sucks, man. it's like, made by people without tastebuds. The food here is so aggressively bland, it's rather impressive. Not underseasoned... unseasoned. Every dish tastes like the kitchen staff has a personal vendetta against flavor. Chewing it is like having a mouthful of familiar textures with very little taste, if any. it's quite maddening. Here's what really gets me: they'll proudly serve a vanilla ice cream with MSG added, and use words like "umami" on their menu. But a burger? Fries? Those don't deserve salt. The cognitive dissonance is staggering. You understand flavor science well enough to dose your ice cream with MSG, but you can't be bothered to season a patty? it's bland incarnate, masquerading as classic diner fare, but deconstructed and self aware, in all its greasy goodness. And those precious little boxes everything comes in? The ones that look so adorable on Instagram? They're a disaster. The second your food goes in there, steam turns everything soggy. Your fries get limp, your burger sits in its own condensation. My mind has never before been a host to the abstract thought forms of "french fry" and "erectile dysfunction treatments" in my mind at the same time Speaking of which - I paid extra for avocado on my burger. What I got was half an avocado, uncut, just plopped on top like an afterthought. Not sliced. Not mashed. Just a whole hemisphere of avocado that's somehow both slimy and weirdly warm from sitting in that steam-trap box. Look at this thing. This is what $3 extra gets you - a sweaty, unsliced avocado half slowly dissolving into mush on top of an already soggy burger. Did anyone in the kitchen actually think about how this would be eaten? Or was the photo op the only consideration? The complaints keep piling up elsewhere too - overcooked tots, what appears to be frozen pre-packaged chicken, grossly overpriced for what you get. This is an ice cream shop pretending to run a kitchen, and it shows. The irony is that they clearly know how to make something excellent - the proof is in their ice cream. Creative flavors, perfect execution, a depth of understanding the chemistry of taste. So why does the savory menu taste like an afterthought prepared by people who've never actually eaten their own food? Come for dessert, skip literally everything else.

Love the impossible burger. The shoestring fries were also a hit. The vibe was what you expect from a place. But the service???? I'm telling you, the lady at the counter was amazing. Perfect attitude. I believe her name was Eileen or somethin - shout out to her. And the ice cream was quality

Dads coffee & Dulcenia mixed with a cone on top!

My boyfriend and I had made a habit of coming here almost every week last summer. I love the funky flavors they offer and every flavor I've tried has been great! I almost ALWAYS get the dad's coffee and dulcenia as a split scoop and it is a generous portion of ice cream. I really love the vibe and decor in the shop and enjoy eating outside at one of their little tables! The staff is always very friendly! It is a tiny bit expensive but I honestly think its worth it !

Have heard the buzz abt this ice cream shop and happy to finally try some The Romeu&Juliieta was soo delicious I was pleasantly surprised- salty and sweet Brazilian classic! Cream cheese custard and fresh guava ripple is the description and it was soo creamy and bang full of of flavor-nice change from chocolate flavors that I usually get Can't wait to try some other flavors as they all sounded so interesting and different than your average ice cream store

Bebe Zito has an awesome selection of unique flavors that will appeal to all! The storefront is pretty simple and small with some indoor and outdoor seating. You can tell the quality of ingredients is high, which does make the ice cream a bit expensive. I like that they offer rotating seasonal flavors to keep you coming back for more! They don't allow samples but do say that you can get a different flavor if you don't like the one you chose. Given the uniqueness of the flavors, I do wish they'd let you try one or two before choosing. Will be back to try more flavors soon (as well as their hot food)!

Fun Latin inspired local ice cream chain. It's silly sometimes you live so close to something, but you never visit it. I used to walk to the Wedge and was litch a quarter block from a location and even went by some days and never stopped inside. Well I can safely say those decisions were a mistake. The Ubebe has won my heart. It may not look the most appetizing with the caramelized sugar over a purple color palette, but don't judge an Ubebe by its cover. The different toppings are paired well. The crunch of the top with marshmallows evokes the s'mores of an autumn camp fire. Below the caramel ice cream dances with pecans. I wrote this review some time since delighting in its sweetness, but the memory is fresh as new snow. Unfortunately, this is a seasonal :( so will have to wait until next year for another round. But in the meantime, would definitely be encouraged to try the other flavors.

I'm probably not going to make a lot of friends with this review, but I wasn't in love with Bebe Zito. We had excellent service in the cute little shop and there tons of cool flavors. However, I wasn't in love with the texture or taste of my ice cream. Honestly, I thought it tried too hard - sometimes, less is more. This is one of those instances where less competing flavors and priorities would have been better for me. However, when I'm back in town, i will definitely try it again - everyone deserves a second chance.

It was just okay. Seems like they have some cool flavors that I would have loved to try, but they don't have any samples. Wasn't ready to commit to paying for a full scoop of something I'm not sure about. Went for the safer options. For the price, the ice cream is pretty average. Not bad but nothing memorable.

Stumbled upon this spot a couple blocks from my airbnb and it turned out to be the BEST choice of the day. I am a sucker for unique ice cream and this place does it right. The chicken sandwich and fries came out hot and delicious. Everyone working had a smile and was super kind to tell us what was in all the flavors. Would definitely come back again.

The vanilla with oreo crumble was a hit!

Finally made it! What an amazing stop. We started with lunch. The food was so fresh and every bite was delicious. My hubby loves the dark meat chicken strips. We could not leave without a little frozen treats! The kids loved every bite. The service was so great from beginning to ends we got lucky and it was not very busy on the Sunday we stopped by!

Best ice cream in the cities! Plz plz plz visit any of their locations! I love their ice cream so much. All their ice cream is just packed with flavor. I feel like most ice cream is just bland and sugary but not this one. They def know how to make bomb flavor. My fav is the caramel brûlée! :)

Wanted to love it but ice cream flavors are very unusual and good for a taste but not a whole serving. A little too out there for me.

The seasonal rhubarb ice cream was unforgettable: perfectly balanced, fresh, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical ice cream shop. The experience went beyond the ice cream itself. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun, making us feel less like customers and more like neighborhood regulars. They're mini scoops, which makes it so fun to try different flavors without committing to just one. My top picks are the caramelized white chocolate, the sea salt caramel pecan, and the salted honey. All three are incredible. You can also grab pints to go, and the prices are super reasonable. A five-scoop flight for $6 is such a steal. Pump House is always worth the stop, and easily one of the best ice cream shops in the Twin Cities.

Street parking available on hip and trendy Washington Ave! They also have a decently priced valet for diners not looking to search nearby for parking! The interior is moody and hip with dim lighting, exposed brick, and a social energy. It's always busy without feeling stuffy or crowded. The service is top notch...fresh silverware and plates with every course, consistently filled water, servers that are around but not overbearing, and courses that come out with exquisite timing! We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree. The Gnocchi are little pillows of heaven, and the orange sauce is such a pleasant surprise. The real star for me was the Mushroom Agnolotti: little pillows of creamy, mushroomy goodness topped with a plethora of additional mushrooms. Chef's kiss. Can't wait to come back again and again!
