I was a bit surprised to only see 6 flavors, I believe but you can swirl certain flavors which was cool. I ended up getting the cake batter & angel food swirl then adding heath bar bits. They have a decent amount of toppings you can add which is nice. It's a smaller establishment but it wasn't super busy so I'd say they have enough seating if you wanted to dine in. They have many toppings, especially boba ones. The cookie dough topping selections were underwhelming compared to the competition. It's self service top your own frozen yogurt. If you don't know how this works, you've been under a rock for a decade. Ask whomever unfroze you from hibernation. This is a perfectly normal execution of that concept. Bonus point because they have some cool toppings -- popping Boba, mint oreos, and multiple kinds of gummy. Points off because they need to hold the yogurt at lower temperature -- or comes out runny. Still, the kids liked it and I didn't mind! And it's local, which is great. read more

I called down there before I left and was only in Minneapolis for a week (from CA), so I really wanted some frozen yogurt! However, when I got down to the area, I also noticed a Starbucks. I needed coffee & I needed to fill up my rental car for the return. And, I could not find Freeziac! For some reason, it was difficult to find on the maps and I arrived at 7:31, but they closed at 7:30pm, so I never got to taste it!! I was pretty disappointed! read more

I'll start with a positive and say for a very cold Saturday afternoon, this place was still pretty busy. They had about 6 flavors to choose from, which wasn't very many. I went with yellow cake batter that only had a hint of cake flavor. The toppings were so-so. Some of them were empty and they were organized in a way where you're spinning in circles trying to find if you're looking for something specific. The fruit all looked very fresh. I went with the caramel sauce and it was very thin, almost water-like compared to any other caramel sauce I've had. Maybe I'm picky, but the sprinkles were a nuisance. They had the long sprinkles in shakers so you'd sit there and shake for 2 minutes and maybe you'd get 15 sprinkles. The price was also pretty expensive for something I was disappointed about - 2 bowls for about $25. I went out of my way to come here, so I probably won't be back. read more

The ambiance in here is confusing and lonely. It reminds me of waking up from a nap in childhood and discovering that the sun had gone down. Extremely disorienting. I accidentally put all the toppings that they had to offer in my cup--the total was around $20 and I feel like I'm dying, but that one is on me, I will admit. In fact, I'm typing this review to avoid finishing my cup, and it is all melting (though they say some like it that way). I would come back. I would give my first born to freeziac. Froyo, otherwise known as frozen yogurt is my other half. And this place serves exactly, and only that. Delicious frozen yogurt of all kinds, and you get to pick the toppings! Think of it as pasta bar style, with all of the toppings in a line. So here's how it works. You walk in, grab your bowl. and start your creative froyo abilities. Some flavors include: Pomegranate, Juicy lemon, chocolate and vanilla. They offer an abundance of dry and liquid toppings, with tons of fresh fruit as well! The best/worst part, is that you pay by the ounce! Best: because you get to choose exactly how much you want of everything. Worst: I often get carried away with the fruit selection, and my bill gets to be a little heftier than I would like. Usually, mine amounts to around $3.50 or $4.00. Decor-wise, this place is very modern, with cute little couches, and even has free WI-FI! Beware, as this is "the place to go" for high schoolers, and those cool wannabee middle schoolers as well. So, what do you do when you're craving Froyo in an area you don't frequent? Whip up Yelp and find some god damn froyo! Did that last night while in EP. Lets start with the good, it's Froyo. It satisfied said need to have Froyo at that moment. Very small flavor selection, only 8 taps running and a smaller condiment (I'm not sure they're actually condiments, but, I'm calling them that for this purpose) bar with one boba selection, a few berry toppings, and a few other sweets. Dry mix ins were a little more plentiful, but, still don't compare to other places I've visited. The quality of the froyo was severely lacking as well. The blue ras was far beyond tarty to the point of needing something mixed in with it to make it tolerable. Peanut butter, like every other place, was terrible. Vanilla was extremely sweet. Like, far sweeter than a vanilla should be. Cake batter? Yeah, if you say so. Overall, I enjoyed the fact they had Jenga and Apples to Apples in the location more than their froyo. On the bright side, at least the granola and fruity pebbles weren't stale. So, that's kind of like a win? read more

A little out of the way, but if your willing to drive while visiting the cities you can find some decent frozen yogurt here. Toppings bar was pretty decent and kept clean and organized which is difficult to do in these types of places. One suggestion, get my yogurt chips as I so crave them. read more

Pretty cool ice cream shop that does it a bit differently. Stopped in after reading all of the reviews here on Yelp. The best part is the fact that you can get a big bowl of ice cream and it has zero fat(unless you add it with toppings). Not only that, but if you stop in during happy hour M-Th 9-10pm all ice cream is half off. It would be quite expensive if you go during other times. A typical bowl is about $5-6 if it isn't happy hour. If you haven't been to a place like this, essentially you walk down a salad bar type line for ice cream. First you grab a bowl, add whatever soft serve you would like, then top it off with any one of about 50 toppings. Then the staff weighs you dish and you pay by the pound. Its very tasty and pretty fun to do. Overall, pretty cool concept, this place is usually packed with local high schoolers, but they don't bother me much. I'll be back! read more

Honestly, if freeziac was in Minneapolis/ Uptown or basically any other city that had more than one froyo restaurant it probably wouldn't do very well. It has limited flavors and toppings compared to uptown's Yogurt Lab or 16 Candles, but given that it's the only Froyo option in EP/ chan and has a monopology on the market, it seems to be packed every summer night. Bottom line: it's an okay option for froyo, but given the choice, I'd drive a couple miles down the road to dairy queen. read more

Freziac is the absolute best frozen yogurt. I love froyo and try every shop I find, nobody is better. The very vanilla, the chocolate, and my favorite the coconut frozen yogurts are the stuff I dream of because I live 3.5 hours from freziac. Great toppings too, my new favorite is the warm peanut butter sauce, and the boba (weird fruity balls). Yum all around. Try this place! When I'm in the area I drive way out of my way to have it. I replace my dinner with this stuff. I'm so disappointed their other two locations have closed. I was really hoping this chain would spread. We were just at Freeziac and it's the best frozen yogurt we've had. My husband and I are eating healthy and they had great options to mix and match plus a nice variety of nuts, granola, healthy fresh fruits and of course, plenty of candies and cookies! The new owner is super friendly and helped us navigate options and gave us some free tasters too. Before reading the rest of this just know that all fro-yo taste the same to me. I come back for the convenience, the awesome toppings selection, and because of the price. Amazing selection of toppings (more than I have seen at any other fro-yo place in MN), great selection of fro-yo (from sweet to tart), and they weigh by the ounce so you can pile the toppings on as much as you like for the price you're willing to pay. This is a frozen yogurt shop. I love that you can get as much as you want and pay by the ounce. Although, it can get a little pricey if you are into the heavier toppings. They have tart and sweet yogurt flavors as well as standard vanilla and chocolate. I love the tart flavors. My favorites are the Juicy Lemon and Pomegranite! They are really tart! My boys only like boring vanilla, but they love it here. You self-serve whatever amount of yogurt you want, then get your toppings from the many, many topping choices, then go to the cashier and pay by ounce. If you go frequently, they have a frequent buyers punch card to give you a discount once you fill it up. Plus they have a happy hour. read more

REVIEW TIME: Freeziac, it is time that you step up your game! What I mean is that as a consumer and frozen yogurt fan I am more willing to drive 20mins to my closest @theyogurtlab then my local Freeziac in Eden Prairie that only is 2mins away. It is so bad that I always leave feeling disappointed. My wife who worked at several frozen yogurt places in SoCal also highly disapproves. I am not saying she is an expert but she does knows her Frozen Yogurt. Here are some suggestions: 1) Increase your selection. 6 flavors is not enough and your topping selection is also poor. Try adding things like mochi, small yogurt chips, etc. 2) Solidify your yogurt a bit, it is way too runny. 3) Service is poor and there is no excitement in your product from your employees. It could end up that The Yogurt Lab will move into your neighborhood and steal the market here in EP. I am not fooled by the Yelp reviews because they have not had a quality place like the Lab yet. You would win many more if you made some improvements that could really boost your business. Not sure if this is a local or national chain, but I love it, and I believe it is better than DQ. just on flavor alone. A nice lad greeted me and showed me the procedure, and gladly let me sample. They offer 2 tart flavors, 2 sweeter flavors, and chocolate and vanilla. The c&v, taste just like ice cream, I put both in a cup together, and ended up mixing them at the end, and that was a great flavor. I like eating in. They have cool see through tables made of a hard plastic. As you walk in there is a little area that reminds you of a doctors office. I only wish they offered cones for those who just want some simple froyo and not all the fixins. read more

I used to really like this place since it was the only decent frozen yogurt place around (plus they offer discounts if you follow them on facebook), but after trying out some other places like Yogurt Lab and Chilly Billy around the Twin Cities I find that Freeziac comes up short. I'm mostly disappointed by the lack of interesting flavors and toppings, mainly, the lack of seasonal fruit flavors like mango and strawberry. Of the flavors they do offer, they are usually good, albeit safe (vanilla, chocolate, cake batter, etc). The consistency is a bit melty sometimes, but it's not too often. It's great if you just want some plain old' self-serve froyo. As for toppings, they have a decent amount of dry ingredients like cereal, candy bars, etc. I'd like to see something like mochi and more fruit, though, in their selection. I suppose they are a bit limited in terms of space, so I'm not sure how that would work. Anyway, I'm giving this a 3 star rating because it's satisfactory froyo, but not particularly unique or outstanding. Hopefully they'll bring out some more interesting flavors this summer. read more

Where is everyone getting these flavors they are talking about?! I walked in the door and they had four, I repeat FOUR flavors of ice cream. My cousin was dairy free and there was one option for her out of four. (Four)... It was all of the generals - chocolate, vanilla, tart and raspberry. I don't want to be a froyo snob, but there are so many places that serve way more flavors and toppings - why would someone come here? There weren't even that many toppings either. And the whole time I was standing in the place (which was about 10 minutes because we were being the most awkward people on the planet just staring at the four options), no one greeted us! Actually, I don't even remember anyone working there!! Or at least I didn't see anyone during that time. The screen at the cash register had a weigher and the screen invited you to swipe yourself, so I'm sure I could've just done it myself. I still think it's odd that I didn't see a staff member. After all of that awkwardness, my cousins and I just walked out. I even added the Freeziac sign to my snap story, but little do my friends know, I never even ate it! Haha, jokes on you! It was a great stop on our Saturday bike ride. A good motivator for the kids. They made mine exactly how I wanted it - hot fudge and cashews. They have a few frozen yogurt flavors and also a non-dairy pomegranate that my kids loved. Their favorite part was picking the toppings - gummy bears were chosen by all of them. read more

I used to bring my kids here a few years ago and honestly was never really that impressed but it appears that they've stepped up their game. Freak April weather hit 70 today. Our usual place, Freestyle in Chan, wasnt open for the season yet, so we headed one burb further East. First of all, their fro yo flavor selection is LIMITED. Basically 4 flavors and two additional "tart" flavors that are just sherbert like. Drag when two of the four flavors are chocolate and vanilla (lame). Then their employee said they were out of hot fudge. Five minutes after we paid for ours, we watched a second employee bring out a new hot fudge. Lastly, we needed to use the restroom quickly. The "we're out of hot fudge" employee tells us that theyve lost their key to the bathroom and recommends the Caribou Coffee at the end of the mall. Great. Mmmmmm Freeziac is soo delicious! It's my absolute favorite fro yo in the cities. I found out recently they serve locally made yogurt (which I love) and their fruit is so fresh. It's nice to have a "dessert" I can feel good about eating. Last time I was there the owner actually when out and got chocolate covered almond because I had mentioned they would go well in the chocolate yogurt. Definitely a great place to try. They also had games there, its nice to go somewhere that doesn't just shove a TV in your face and actually has a relaxing, real environment to try to make more fro yo into those cups. That's my only complaint, I'd like bigger cups so I don't have to get two next time. (Just kidding..maybe) read more

We had the most disgusting experience today at the Freeziac in Eden Prairie. The manager was extremely rude and completely disrespectful. He kept shouting at our 8 year old several times directly while we were standing a few feet away, asking him to get away from the topping selections, implying that my son was trying to steal toppings. When I told him that he needs to go through adults/parents and not shout at kids directly in front of their parents, he said he has the right to stop anybody "stealing" from his shop. He kept arguing and arguing and when asked for information on the owner, refused to give contact but mumbled some vague email address. Extremely bad experience...will not go there again... read more
