Banana Cream Pie - Small (Kids Size)
    Crystal D.

I have wanted to go to Adele's forever after hearing amazing things. I had heard about the flavor calendar and highly recommend looking at this and the menu so that you know what you want prior to arriving. When I arrived at Adele's the drive thru was full and they were taking orders car by car instead of at the window to make service quicker. There was some minimal seating but the drive thru seemed the way to go. The banana cream pie was the flavor of the day and was amazing! It had bananas, whipped cream, and vanilla wafers in a banana pudding custard. Already planning my next visit here!

Adele's is a MUST visit if ever near Excelsior. Their custard is truly unprecedented. They have a new flavor of the day each day (sometimes even 2) and typically differently flavored frozen yogurt. You can also get concrete mixers or sundaes that are to die for. Their waffle cones are freshly made and impeccable. Additionally, their custard pies, specifically the chocolate raspberry truffle one is a huge hit at any party or gathering. They tend to always be pretty busy but get orders out fast and also have a drive through which is great! It's located in just a quaint house turned custard shop right off of highway 7 and very conveniently located. I truly cannot speak highly enough about how amazing Adele's is. Try out just a simple vanilla dish with the cookie dough on top (literally incredible), the flavor of the day, or truffle Sunday - you can't go w

Great Custard!! This was so good! I am in Minnesota visiting family and was so excited to get custard at Culvers. We decided to try Adeles and it was so incredibly good!! Loved it and would definitely go back!! It's very busy and can get a bit hectic un the parking lot. Not a lot if room inside or outside.

What an absolute treat! And it has a drive through? What else could you possibly want?! I got the turtle sundae and now I have dreams of it. Despite it being swirled with caramel and fudge, topped with candied pecans and whip with the cherry on top of course, the vanilla custard itself does not taste overly sweet. In fact, it's just perfect! Wish I lived in the area to try more flavors. The service is quick, the ladies were so nice. Quaint little town must-have!

I love ice cream and this place did not disappoint I got toffee almond ice cream with cookie dough and let me tell you they do not skimp on the cookie dough mine was piled high with it and it was delicious. I probably would get a different flavor though because toffee almond was a bit plain, however it did have real toffee pieces in it which was nice. The small size is also a pretty large amount so would totally recommend!

My friends and I tried quite the variety here and everyone was satisfied! The cookie dough is excellent, and you definitely get what you pay for. It tastes like "real" cookie dough that you would buy from the store, not just the tiny morsels of "cookie dough" that you typically find elsewhere. You can actually taste the chocolate chips, and they add a nice texture as well. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you're nearby. All of the people working were kind and efficient; they even have a drive thru window! There is pretty limited indoor seating but a decent amount outside. It's the perfect Summer spot

YUM! We love this place. They have a flavor of the day calendar that we usually plan our ice cream trips around. They are definitely the star of the show at Adele's. You can drive through or walk up. But they are FAST! A small is a big portion in my opinion so when I want a true small I order the kiddie size :)

First time here! Huge deck in the front part of the building. Smaller space on the inside. I was confused at first with what to order but the worker was really helpful and guided me through ordering my ice cream. It was delicious and they give you loads of toppings!

A great stop in excelsior to treat yourself. I'm not a huge soft serve person so giving it 4 stars but for the portion, the friendly staff, and many many options to choose from this is a hit! Perfect for any age - old and young!

Adele's is a cute summertime treat spot! Adele's is an old house turned custard spot, with lots of great patio seating and a great crowd. Great ambiance! Parking lot is small and many signs limit parking to 1 hour. Drive through and the line inside is very fast - there's tons of employees who are scooping and taking orders. Adele's has two flavors of the day made every morning in addition to vanilla and chocolate. There are also shakes, mixers, and more! All of the custard is made in house and is delicious.

Gawd the custard is so good. It's worth the drive from Minneapolis. Even the vanilla is amazing.

It was vanilla & chocolate ice cream w/ caramel ribbons & Carmel truffles. It was good & reasonably priced. They have 3 tables inside so it's smaller, there's some benches outside too. This is it--the perfect place for a summer meal. From the amazing food and great service (thanks,…read moreTheresa!) to the stellar patio, Layline delivers an absolutely amazing experience. If I had found this place earlier this summer, I probably would have spent many happy evenings here. (I truly can't emphasize how well this restaurant captures summer vibes.) The menu was great and ticked all the boxes, taking advantage of the bounty and mood of the season. For our starters, we ordered the arancini and the johnnycake. Both were delicious. The arincini was crispy on the outside and oozed with creamy cheese. The romesco sauce complemented it perfectly. The johnnycake was fluffy and delicious and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty (don't skip the jalapeño infused maple syrup--it isn't spicy; it's just an extension of the sweet and savory balance). For our salads/veggies, we split the last three on the menu: the cauliflower, the Brussels sprouts, and the watermelon salad. My friends, don't skip any one of these. The cauliflower is a cauliflower steak that is perfectly cooked (be sure you get a lovely toasty bit!) and made for delicious savory-salty-tangy mouthful with its tomatoes and onions. Doenjang and tahini? Heck yes! The sprouts were covered in a spectacular mojo verde (imagine what pesto would be if it were Indian and you'd not be far off) that was a creative and absolutely apt pairing. As for the watermelon salad, it was all summer: chunks of watermelon, crumbles of feta, basil, hazelnut, and rings of Calabrian chili. It tasted exactly like relaxing on the porch with your most sophisticated but still totally chill bestie. For my main, I ordered the linguine pomodoro e vodka. Dude. It was so stinking good. I love a good tomato sauce, and this one did not disappoint. Crispy breadcrumbs? Yes. Mint and basil? Yes and yes. Chili oil? Heck yeah! This packed a punch and was an absolutely glorious foil for the burrata. As for dessert, I went for the crème brûlée. It was really good! It was rich and creamy (almost buttery) and absolutely chock-full of vanilla bean. Very good indeed.

I have been here before, but the food quality seems to have gone down hill. At least for the outdoor patio (the menu is different inside) I had the walleye sandwich and it was not good. The quality of fish, the bread tasted stale and there was too much bread and sauce. The burger was a standard burger and nothing special. The ceviche was good!! But it's not chopped up, and was hard to eat with the chips. I did get some alcoholic drinks and those were great! My personal opinion is that the drinks and apps here are good! We didn't have to wait too long for our food and when it was brought to the table it looked good. Their choice of plates is an interesting one because the plates have specks that make you think they're dirty. The egg rolls weren't good at all and the inside wasn't fully cooked so you could take the flour in the wrap. The jerk chicken flatbread had no jerk sauce/seasoning on it. While I understand food costs and needing a pared down menu, gone were the uniquely Jamaican dishes such as the jerk bowls and the jackfruit, etc (still on the website by the way). I really enjoyed the sauce they drizzled on and their mango Cole slaw was one of the first times I actually liked a restaurant Cole slaw. Sadly, a sandwich with a thin slice of chicken breast and some Cole slaw is not worth the $19 price tag. While the service was very good, Montego Blu doesn't stand out anymore given the lack of their Caribbean options.
