GREAT ice cream and friendly service!
    Lauren H.

Delicious ice cream! I love coming here. They have something for everyone. The ice cream is so good and they staff is always so friendly. There is a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy while eating ice cream. My son loves to come here and run around in between spoonfuls of yummy ice cream.

This is not a single portion. I stop the server once the bowl if full. Super-generous portions.

I have a rule regarding ice cream: If I bike 20 miles, I reward myself with an ice cream cone. One of my favorite rides is along the Dakota Rail Trail through the Lake Minnetonka region. On a good day when I have a lot of energy to burn, the ride starts at and ends at Wayzata Bay with a turn-around point 27 miles later at St. Bonifacius. Since that makes for a ride almost 60 miles total, that means I can allow myself a stop at Lost Lake Creamery, usually on the return trip. This is important, because you're going to need to bike 50 miles or more if you order anything at Lost Lake Creamery, because the portions are generously HUGE. On my first time there this year, I ordered a double for around $5, thinking that a double would be a scoop of one flavor and another scoop of my second choice. Big mistake. When I stepped to the register to pay, I didn't watch the ice cream technician pack a cone with a heaping portion that topped above the cone before adding another scoop of the same flavor above that platform before topping that with a scoop of my second choice. She was reaching her spoon to grab another scoop of my second flavor before I shouted at her to stop, grabbing the attention of everyone in the store, sparking amused grins and confused expressions when I explained what she had on the cone already exceeded my expectations. Which is why you should bike out of your way to Lost Lake Creamery -- and have your expectations exceeded. I still stop there on my rides when I can. But the rule -- yeah, it's more of a guideline.

Was in the Delano area looking for a nice non chain ice cream place. Yelped and found this gem in Mound. The flavored are unique and fresh. Samples are offered so the customer can make an educated ice cream decision lol. It was also offered to have two flavors in one single scoop option. I got a coconut flavor and the Cookie Monster flavor in one dish. They sure do give you a lot for a single. Have some left over for later. The service was friendly even to a customer who dumped out ice cream she said she wanted in her bowl in the garbage right in front of the employees. I definitely heard her ask for this flavor. The employees didn't even flinch and still went on with smiles. Definitely worth a stop.

Good ice cream but could not get past the nasty musty smell of the building. Definitely did not want to sit inside. Outside they only had a few chairs n didn't do much to the exterior of the building to make it more appealing. Also disappointed that they don't make their own waffle cones. Beautiful scenic drive along the minnetonka chain of lakes.

Amazing, AMAZING ice cream. My fav. Big muddy, actually became our family's one. Highly recommend it.

Girl's date, workers were very helpful on this late Sunday evening, for our indecisiveness!

Delish Old Fashioned (Possible Petersen's ice cream) ice cream treats! Get it in a bowl/cup, it melts super fast! Love this place, perfect date with family, friends, or that special person... grab a snack from here, and walk down by the water and onto the little dock. I really hope this place stays for a long time, it's the perfect little addition that Mound needed!

    Cute little ice cream shop!

Cute little ice cream shop in downtown Mound! it opened in August 2014. Ice cream is from Wisconsin and is creamy and delicious. The woman who helped me (I assume she is the owner) was very patient and personable as I spent about five minutes trying to decide which flavor I wanted and tasting almost everything. And the ice cream was YUMMY!! I will definitely be returning here!

This is a single scoop! Only $3.25.

So many different flavors; literally something for everyone. Please save some space after your dinner for this -- don't be like me... eating until I'm full and then STILL trying to get a double scoop. I couldn't do it... oh but I did do it. And it was WORTH IT! All that sugar got to my head and I didn't even think to take a pic of my ice cream... Get yourself a waffle cone though, so good! The folks here are patient and sweet. You're gonna want to try a few things before committing. They're all good!! There may be a line depending on when you go but it goes by pretty quickly. If you start to get impatient, just remember that when you get to the front, you don't want anyone rushing you while you try all those delicious favors.

They have over a dozen flavors of ice cream. Some are listed on the display while others are on signs on the wall above the ice cream. I got the "Halley's Comet" single scoop in a waffle cone. It was vanilla & chocolate ice cream w/ caramel ribbons & Carmel truffles. It was good & reasonably priced. They have 3 tables inside so it's smaller, there's some benches outside too. I would for sure stop here again if I'm in the area! Such a nice treat.

The staff are so friendly and upbeat, and they always go above and beyond. Most of them are students, so be generous with tips because they absolutely make the experience better.
