Well, that's exactly what happened to me when I rediscovered the great food at Rush's. The last time I went was back in the early 2000s, so visiting in 2024 made me realize just how long it had been! I remember we'd usually get the fried chicken and a few sides, and after a few visits, I was off exploring other restaurants. Recently, my sister and I made a stop there on our way to visit our parents. This time, instead of fried chicken, we were craving hamburgers, hotdogs, and fries. I'd never had a burger from Rush's, but my sister vouched for them, and she's usually spot-on with food recommendations. We ordered three hamburgers, fries, and a hotdog. I didn't want a hotdog for myself initially, but she encouraged me to try hers. Let me tell you--the photo I took doesn't do the burger any justice! It was huge, fresh, and delicious. I got mine loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and mayo. The fries were hot and crispy, just the way I like them. My sister even let me try a piece of her hotdog, and I instantly regretted not getting one myself--it was that good! The onions on it were amazing, and I'm usually not a big fan of onions! I'll definitely be back whenever I'm craving a good burger or hotdog!

Glad i got the added cheese. Be ready with napkins because it's messy but worth it. Banana pudding was decent but I'm picky and like chunks of banana in mine. Nilla wafers on top should be added just before serving in my opinion because they are soft from being in there in cooler ready to go. I get it for efficiency sake of running restaurant but would prefer them to be crispy and fresh on top. Overall very much recommend.

If you're looking for a solid cheesesteak that actually delivers on flavor, this is the spot. 10/10, will absolutely be back.

Some call it a dive bar, some are more generous; are there sticky tables, servers with tattoos, a busy bar were suds and cheaper whiskey prevail, and original paint? You bet! Let's get to the food. Lucky's menu features a variety of burgers, salads, wings, hotdogs and sides. Don't expect beer on tap, but an extensive selection of bottled beer should satisfy most folks. We ordered a Black and Blu burger with onion straws and a patty melt with fries. From the time we walked in until our food arrived probably took about 25 minutes. That was our own fault as we took way too long deciding what to order. When our food arrived, I immediately dug into the well constructed burger. I could barely open my mouth wide enough. And the taste? Very tasty. My wife enjoyed her patty melt--a burger on marbled rye with cheese and cooked onions that holds up surprisingly well! My onion straws were crunchy and sweet. Fries weren't great, but all in all an enjoyable burger experience. Oh, did I mention entertainment? Well on Tuesdays you can grab a free bingo card and try your luck winning a gift card! I loved the flavors and then was even further impressed with their Fish Fry. Their fries even deserve immense credit because they are seasoned so nicely. Love when I see them parked around here because I always have to stop!

Eight of us went for the lunch special while two of the guys ordered something else....a pulled pork sandwich and boneless chicken wings. The lunch special was excellent!!! Everyone was surprised at. how large the wings were and the baby back ribs were done perfectly with a lot of tender meat that pulled right off of the bone. The selection of rubs and dips are tremendous. It came with a side and optional onion rings for another $1.50 or $1.99, not sure. I opted for baked beans, which were done perfectly...served hot and very good tasting. Several of the buys loved the onion rings and I tried one...very good. I ordered my ribs and wings with the Pub dry rub and dipping sides of blue cheese for the wings and a side of regular bbq sauce for the ribs. The waitress came back occasionally to make sure all was fine and to refill drinks if need be. Outstanding service and the food was delivered rather quickly for such a large group. Everyone was really pleased with this dining experience and I'm sure we'll be returning. We almost missed the place due to the front sign being very faded and. hard to read from the front street....fortunately our GPS found it. I definitely recommend that lunch special of Ribs and wings for $10.99! Kudos to the waitress and restaurant on this visit. Our group rating ranged from a 4.0 (for the pulled pork) to mostly 4.5 and 5.0. Average rating was a 4.65.
