Five guys is a great place to grab a hamburger and fries. However, they also have hotdogs and milkshakes. I usually order the "Little Burger", which is one patty. The regular burger has 2 patties. The menu is a little tricky so if you order a little hamburger and little fries you'll be fine. You can have them put anything on your burger such as BBQ sauce, A1 sauce, grilled onions, mushrooms, green peppers, jalapeños, plus any of the normal hamburger toppings. Stack them as high as you want. While you wait for your order, you can even eat free peanuts. On my last visit, it took awhile to get my food even though I ordered ahead. They get pretty busy around lunch time. I recommend ordering at least 20-25 minutes in advance. There is a free parking lot next to the restaurant which is nice. Then tried to kick my friends out for loitering while they waited at a table with me to get my food. The hamburgers and fries are great but is super expensive for a hamburger and fries typically around $20 for a drink fries hamburger and dollar tip. Their trademark has been to be generous with the fries, but unfortunately, now they're just giving a cup full no overflow, less fries than you would get pretty much any place else. They've been giving really small servings of fries for a while now so maybe it's a policy change and not just an individual. read more

Im not a hamburger fan, but it was late one night after a concert at the Senate venue. The restaurant was clean, the staff took our order quickly. The French fries are my fav, the hamburger had a fresh taste, it didn't seem to have fillers. I don't eat meat from jus any place for many reasons, one being you don't know what's in it. This was my first time eating from this location and I was not disappointed! My food was hot and fresh (as expected) and served in a timely manner even though it was a lunch rush. My only complaint (others might not find it to be) was it was too much lettuce. I came here with a group of people during Dorian and it was my first experience. I didn't realize that it was such fast food, I thought it was going to be more casual like an Applebee's. When Dog Fight started, we said no chains. But then we started hearing buzz from folks who sang the praises of a mighty dog that held its own at a place known for its burgers and fries. And that's how we ended up taking the fight to Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries. So we packed up the SUV were off to Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries in the Vista. If you've never had a dog there, that's your loss and now we know why. The cashier said their hot dogs are 100% beef, Hebrew National kosher dogs. For those of you who speak Dog Fight, that's the Holy Grail wiener right there. Somehow, Melissa was able to chomp down a few of the gratis peanuts while we waited in line, too. Five Guys splits and grills their dogs and buns. While the menu includes regular dogs, cheese dogs, bacon dogs, and, ahem, bacon cheese dogs, you can add the "hamburger" toppings as well. Grilled or raw onions, ketchup, mustard, grilled mushrooms, you name it. If they put it on a burger you can put in on your hot dog. Too much fries(not that is a bad thing I came to America for the junk food here, and speak of the most famous junk food goodness of America is most definitely Cheeseburgers. And while I'm super full of the burger when I'm typing this passage, I still want another one. I asked my roommate, who had been around here longer than I did where can I get a burger aside from Mcdonald and Wendys, because they tastes the same no matter where you are in state or other places on earth in most cases. The Employee The employee we encountered at counter is super effective, she talks really fast, a bit too fast for a non-American for me, but her attitude was very nice so she repeated the menu three times for me though I still missed what she said and ordered what my roommate ordered. I estimate we didn't spend more than 1 min during the whole process of ordering, which seems fine we are in a fast food restaurant. There were 4 people in front of us when we stepped in the store, but the ordering process was fast and we ended up in front of the ordering counter in no time. The effectiveness is admireable. The Food If there's one bone to pick, is that there was too much fries stuffed in our takeout bag, and it got greasy real quick, and a good portion of them are cold, blame that to the weather we will, but the fries was still good. The burger we ordered was fresh and tasty, I'm not the kind that knows well about describing how good my food taste, but I do know I want some more. But still, the menu behind the counter could be a bit more detailed, maybe it's me being unfamiliar with the menu style in US, but it would serve a better experience for first time visitors when I know what to choose. The Enviorment I really like the decorating theme here, the red and white color gives me a warm welcoming feeling when we enter, and the floor is clean, although they really could use a shade, the sunlight that day we visit was very very annoyingly bright at the period, making it uncomfortable if one would want to sit near the window. The impact (? Generally, I found at least a dozen more other restaurant around the location of this Five Guys we went to in walking distance. I believe if we walk around more we could see more that is not listed on Google maps . From the Yelp review page alone I found most reviews had positive responses, the three one star reviews I read, one was about parking, which had not much to do with Five Guys itself, the other was about a visit six years ago, written in 2017, which may have been too long ago to list into consideration. All in All To be fair, it is not easy to mess up a burger, so I don't think there is too much to say on the food when I'm not picky. For me, the part I liked the most is the fast pace of ordering and the soothing inner decoration of the restaurant, one can get their food fast and mostly hot (cold fries is still a minus point) and they can spend a good time in the tables and have a good time. read more

Visited this location during lunch hours and I was impressed. I didn't know that five guys offered a vegetarian item.
