TLDR; Don't order the vegetarian/ bean patty unless you absolutely LOVE beans. I ordered a BD's All American burger (to go) with a grilled bean patty. Hated it. The patty was over an inch thick and consisted of nothing but beans and bean-mush. Would've been nice if a few other veggies were mixed in. As a selective vegetarian- I love bean mush- however, it was incredibly overwhelming on this burger. Would definitely try the impossible burger next time instead. I got a side of sweet potato fries, they were soggy, subpar. A regular fry accidentally found its way into my order and it was SO much better. I'd definitely give this place another try & order the impossible burger with regular fries/ tots next time. I wouldn't recommend the bean burger to my worst enemy. We wanted to celebrate the kiddos ending their school year on such a good note and off course they picked burgers and ice cream as their special meal. It was a long day as we also had a swim meet which meant dinner was going to be a little later than we're used to. But we live down the street and when we came in right before 8 the wait was only 10-15 minutes. Service was friendly our waitress was on top of it and was a joy. Our appetizers came out pretty quickly- we went with the fried pickles, the fried mozzarella and verde fries. Everything was freshly made with good quality. We loved the fried mozzarella and fried pickles- the ranch that came with it was life changing( so good) and the pull on the mozzarella was 10/10. Hated the verde fries but no biggie. For dinner we opted to get one of the smash burgers with, the kids slider with fries and I went with one of the burgers that came with arugula, caramelized onions, bacon, cheese and swapped the burger patty for a grilled black bean patty with a side of tater tots. Four of our group went for lunch here today. Waitress was really quick to take our drink orders and came back shortly to get our entree orders. We had 3 orders for the All-America Hamburger and one order of the Texicana Chicken chopped salad. Everyone liked the burgers and they looked great. They came with one side and the raw fries looked very good. They had two onion rings (which looked good) on the burgers. The Texicana Salad has always been one of my favorites. Bad Daddy's was... meh. The ambiance was cool, and the staff was very friendly, but that's about where the positives end. I got a vodka pineapple to start, which was not very good, so I switched it out for a High-Noon. I don't think the High-Noons were stored properly, because it was extremely overly carbonated and lacking in any flavor. I got the chicken tenders and fries to eat, which weren't great. Now, the fries were very good, but the portion they came in was so small that it kind of canceled out the quality. The tenders were not good, and the skin kept falling off of them. My friend did say that his burger was very good however. All-in-all, Bad Daddy's wasn't great, and I don't think I'll be coming back soon. read more

This place was just okay in my opinion.After attempting to go to two other restaurants that were surprisingly closed we landed on this spot after a quick yelp search for open places to eat close to where we were. Surprisingly this place was pretty packed, maybe since lots of other places around being closed. While the place was packed the service was decently paced considering they seemed to have minimal staff for the amount of patrons. Service was great. But the bathroom was a mess. And it comes down to the build materials combined with the chemicals they use to clean it. All the metal has oxidized, and tarnished to the point where a majority of it needs to be replaced. There was also a dank sewage smell in there. Every time I've gone there I get the same thing, one of them being the garlic parm fries. The quality has gone down dramatically. Cheese seemed cheaper, wasn't melted. Felt like they just plopped the ingredients on top. It's not what it used to be to be. And don't look up, the amount of dust/soot on everything is unappealing. read more

From my last two visits to this location, I can safely say that I won't be back any time soon. I've always frequented the Bad Daddy's in Ballantyne when I lived near Charlotte, so I was hoping my great experiences there would be just as good at the Forest Dr. location. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case, as consistency has been a big issue. About a month ago, I placed a to-go order, only to find that my smash burger was extremely pink inside. To his credit, when I called the manager, he did fix things and removed the charge. Also, when I completed the online survey (you get a free starter), I was sent a reward for two free entrees and one starter. Fast forward to today, I took my mom and niece to lunch with the intention of using the freebies. Since tomorrow is Mother's Day, my mom wanted to pay for my meal. I told her that wasn't necessary, but she insisted. So, we compromised and agreed that she would pay for her meal, and I would pay for mine and my niece's (this is important for later). So, our food comes out and my mom's burger isn't cooked the way she requested. That had to be sent back. Her burger comes out again, and this time it's cooked correctly. Again, to his credit, the manager gave my mom a coupon for $10 off her meal to atone for the mess up. This is when things took a left turn. I'd told my server about the reward before I ordered, so when my check came, I was surprised that the total was $20.74. My niece and I ordered two smash burgers (2 entrees), one truffle fries app (1 starter), and two drinks. I should've only been paying for the drinks, and called the server over to tell her so. That's when she tells me that the system won't apply all the discounts to one ticket, so it gave the other ticket (my mom's) the free entree! Nobody thought to explain this to me beforehand. The server just plopped our bills down on the table and walked away! What if I was broke, only had enough money to buy drinks, and was relying on the free entrees and app only to have them give my freebie away to someone else? It was so absurd that I just started laughing. But wait...it gets worse! So, my mom and I look at her bill, because even with the free entree, it's still too high. Lo and behold, they charged her twice for her burger. The server adjusts the bill and it finally looked the way it should with MY free entree! LOL! It's not a big deal because it was my mom and I'm glad she was able to save that money since she wouldn't let me pay for her meal. But it's the principle. The whole experience was weird and has reiterated what I've known for quite some time...that I need to be making my own meals at home. Our experience was terrible. We were a group of 5 adults + a toddler, so not a large entourage. We were seated promptly and everyone fit into a booth. We arrived after the lunch rush to a restaurant that was one-third full, so there weren't tons of orders being worked on in the kitchen. Everyone ordered off the menu (no "special" requests) and the server was pleasant as the orders were placed. Where did it all go wrong? After the order was placed, our server probably went off to take care of other tables. She disappeared for 15 minutes and returned without any food, but dropped off our drinks. I specified that my milkshake be brought with my burger, but figured our food would arrive shortly. Thirty-five minutes later when my burger arrived, my $5 milkshake was melted sludge. I ordered a Magic Mushroom burger that looked promising but arrived with so few mushrooms (and all button; no wild mushrooms in sight), it needed a name change. It was also cold as were the fries that accompanied it. The cheese had been melted, so it was hot at some point, just not when it was brought to me. After waiting for nearly an hour (53 minutes), when the food arrived, no one's order was correct. We switched things around, but the food was still cold. We wanted a premium burger experience, but received weak excuses (you arrived after a big rush) and no promises of a replacement meal. Disappointing Experience at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar - Forest Acres I recently visited Bad Daddy's Burger Bar in Forest Acres, hoping to try something different while I was on that side of town. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in years. When we arrived, there was a 20-minute wait for indoor seating, but we were told we could be seated outside immediately. Since it was a semi-nice day, we agreed. However, we sat outside for over 20 minutes before a server even acknowledged us. When she finally arrived, she apologized, saying, "Oh, I'm sorry, no one told me I had a table." Not a great start. We placed our order--drinks, an appetizer of fried pickles, and four burgers with house chips. The burger customization options were cool, allowing us to pick the patty size, cheese, bun, toppings, and cooking temperature. I ordered my burger medium. After another 20 minutes, our drinks arrived. We had all ordered sweet tea, but it was weak and watered down, looking more like a fancy cocktail with water at the bottom and tea floating on top. Definitely not worth the $3 per tea. When our food finally came out--after yet another long wait--I realized we never got our fried pickles. The waitress casually said, "Oh yeah, I forgot. We're out of fried pickles, but we didn't charge you." Well, that's nice, I thought sarcastically. I asked if I could get a side of onion rings instead. Then came the biggest disappointment: my burger, which I specifically ordered medium, was extremely well done. At that point, after waiting for over an hour and a half, I didn't even bother complaining. To make matters worse, our drinks were never refilled, and we felt completely forgotten. The onion rings finally arrived--after we were done eating. And they were so salty they were almost inedible, though dipping them in ranch helped a little. When it was time to pay, the waitress was suddenly very friendly, even drawing a smiley face on the receipt. Normally, I'm a generous tipper, but the bill already had a "restaurant convenience fee" on top of taxes, which felt ridiculous given the awful service. I left a $5 tip on an $80 bill--more than they really deserved. All in all, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. The food wasn't great, the service was incredibly slow, and the extra fees made it feel even worse. I won't be going back anytime soon. 1/5 - Not recommended. read more

Upon entrance we waited at the hostess stand. The first thing we notice was the open kitchen concept. It's always a plus to see a clean kitchen with plenty of workers. Our waitress was Jade. Omg I just love her name :-)! She is a beautiful person, she is a friendly and welcoming. She knows the menu and confidently answers any question you may have. The appetizers and food came out together which was really quick. The appetizers are half off the last 2 hours until close. Deviled eggs- I read a lot of reviews that suggested this as an appetizer. It was different, wish it was seasoned a little more. The Frenchie turkey patty was the absolute best turkey burger I had. So juicy, seasoned to perfection and the hidden gem was the grilled apple (I never had this) . The turkey sandwich is a must try!! Trust me!! You will love it. The patty melt, did exactly what the name says, melt in your mouth. The turkey patty was moist, juicy and seasoned exceptionally well. I'm making this review because of the service I received. I decided to try this restaurant according to other reviews on Yelp. The food looked great on the menu, so I placed an order for delivery. I received a text that stated that my order was on the way and that it would be delivered at 3:11. Now I ordered from the actual website of the restaurant, and when I called to inform them that my delivery person stated that they were having problems delivering my order, I called the restaurant, and asked if I could pick my order up from the restaurant because the delivery driver texted that they didn't speak english, I was informed that because they are not affiliated with the delivery company that I would have to make arrangements with the driver who doesn't speak English on where to pick up my order. SMH!! Not only do I have to see if I can find the driver, but I don't have my order, nor did the restaurant offer to prepare my order again. I will not be patronizing this restaurant ever. Their response was bad for business. UPDATE: The order was delivered 30 minutes after the confirmed delivery time. I decided to try them out again and this time the visit was much better. I tried the "Fear.Movie.Lions." IPA by Stone and boy was it tasty! And not a bad price (about $7.50) for a 16oz pour and the abv is about 7.5%. The burger was huge. Mostly because the tomato and red onion were cut very thick (about twice as thick as the cooked patty.). But the patty was juicy and well seasoned. I really couldn't tell the difference between the regular bacon and the jalapeno bacon but that didn't really matter because the bacon was perfectly crispy just way I like it. read more
